Heavenly Rewards - Our Crowns

But what good is gifts in Heaven? I can't understand the point of these rewards. Jesus is the only reward that we need in Heaven. I would rather have riches on this earth and be able to go to heaven than wait for these rewards in heaven. It's a simple fact...we won't need rewards in heaven as much as we do here. At least here we could enjoy the rewards..I mean really..what are we going to do with rewards in heaven. I just think it's a waste. Jesus is the only reward we need in Heaven.

Hi, our knowledge of rewards comes from the bible and Jesus COMMANDS us to store up our treasures in Heaven rather than earth.

Some will have no reward at all and they will barely make it to Heaven (1 Corinthians 3:15). I think the mistake you make is your supposition that rewards are material types of rewards like gold (the floor is made of that stuff) or jewels.

I believe it will be our position and responsibility in Heaven.

But I agree, God is our greatest reward, of all things, I want Jesus to call me a good a faithful servant, to meet Jesus face to face and He not be pleased with me is not a nice thought.

But all things about rewards are biblical and there for a reason, if you don't want to seek rewards in Heaven then thats between you and God but maybe you can do a study on it and see how you feel.
