The down-throw combo isn't that useful anymore, mainly because it's easy to DI out of it. The only thing you could probably do is tech chase

Game and Watches that are amateur use down-throw. The better ones use up-throw because their u-air mindgames generally end well with a smash attack or so.

Wow boss is really good! And this was a month ago. I can actually recognize players that used to play melee, and I bet he did. I've heard that nickname before from US tournegoers but it could still be another "boss".

Ummm actually I only noticed shorthop airdodging. Melee players miss the wavedash so they look for other spacing techs, and shorthop airdodge was born. It's not as good as it was a couple months ago, though.
