For those of you wondering why God doesnt speak to you, I have to ask, are you reading your Bible? God gave us his word, and the word was flesh and walked among us. If you arent hearing what he has already said, what more would he have to say to you? Just trust in what he tells you, and you wont go wrong.....no matter what the world may tell you.

sometimes if you're waiting for a reply from God you're not pure in heart. he may be waiting for you to listen. you're to wrapped up in yourself that you can't hear him. you need to be strong in your faith and strong in God. if your walk is not right talk to God. just give it all to God with a pure and faithful heart and he will listen. but sometimes it's the most terrible of prayers are the ones that God listens to and answers.
@antarriaga I know your post is super old but I wanted to add to what calebwygant said. Sometimes the answers are not clear to you, they could come in the form of simple little signs. From my own experience I have found my answers in things others have said, in song, and in simple beauties of life. Also the answers might not come to you right away, as calebwygant had said, sometimes the answer is wait. Whatever answers you were looking for I hope you found them. God bless!

God always hears your calls for help and he will always answer you. You may not even know it, I've been blessed myself and havent noticed it. God loves everyone and He will never ever ignore you or turn His back on you. He always listens to your prayers and He is pleased when you tell His Word to everyone you possibly can. hey this is in response to your post a few months ago....i have grown up in a Christian home my whole life, but at times I have asked the same question. The answer I believe to be true(and I say this hesitantly because I know that I know very little compared to God) is that we are the ones who are deaf to God's answers to our questions. Too many times I have talked to Him and felt an answer tugging at me but realized that I did like the answer He gave me...it would be harder to be different
I personaly believe that too many Christians today still use the language of believers and expect non Christians to just understand. Even Christ simplified his words to aid our understanding .

God will ALWAYS give you an answer. sometimes it will be yes no and sometimes the answer is WAIT
Or he might be giving you an answer and you dont like the one he is giving you
a few things you could do to help find an answer is attend church, pray about it and the best thing to do would be to read the bible a lot of the time everything you need to know is right there.

@calebwygant youre right. and sometimes it just takes time. i know i have been "saved" for 15 years, but i just finally started finding God. it is all about your heart and your approach.

@antarriaga254 God is real. He made a lot of changes through my life and many miracles. I learned a lot about God through the bible. Not all prayers are responded at once. God may have responded in dreams or visions or just a feeling. For an example, God saved my sister from a car accident and protects my brother who is in war right now. God is in your heart, just believe that. I hope that this will convince you in your faith to God.

However, one day, i was asked the question, hey bruster whats your life base? I decided to see what would happen if I made God mine. I recieved the loudest silent answer ever. My heart began to change: my family and i reconciled, i had drive, and began to find a burning sort of joy i couldnt even explain.

God will not abandon you if you call on the name of Jesus, and don't worry about changing yourslef. It isn't your job to change, God will change you. I am learning now that things happen to us by what we say. if i want to be healed, if YOU want to be healed, pray to God and speak outloud that you are healed. not everything we want will take place on this earth, but if we go to heaven, we will all be healed. i will be able to run, dance, jump, swim, etcetera.

@antarriaga254 I know you're getting a lot of responses, but here's my two cents. Sometimes, we don't hear what God's saying because we don't like the answer. Other times, we aren't paying attention. God doesn't literally speak to you; there's no flash of light or strange dream. The "little voice" just sounds like a thought. If you pray to God and then pay very close attention, He does answer you with your own thoughts. Hope that helps.

A Sinner is anyone who's character is unlike God's and that covers everyone.), we are all deaf, blind and ultimately dead to God. what you're wanting is for God to come and help you see, help you hear, and bring you to life. @christlover3000 I totally agree with you that the wages of sin is eternal death. Are you saying that the opposite of eternal life through Christ is NOT eternal life in hell? Nearly all people preach that people "go to hell", and I cannot find scriptural support for the idea. Rev. 20:10 is not about people. Rev.20:14,15 says lake of fire=second death for people. Have I finally found someone who agrees with me? Please respond.

@JarsCampDCT No I believe they are destroyed when they stand before God on the judgment he does not send them to hell to suffer for eternity that's not even biblical its a temporary pain its not gonna be a picnic but its gonna end in their death the second death is just that you die cease to exist are no more gods not gonna let sin exist anywhere in his universe and that includes hell. only those who except Jesus gift of salvation will live eternally you can't be dea and alive at the same time.

I know that he is real and he can see use hear our cries and he always answers our prayers it may not always be how you want and you may not see it at first but yes he is there and he does truly love you.

@antarriaga254 Remember that God also gave us a choice to believe or not believe in Him. For Him to force Himself on us would give us no choice but to believe. He loves us so much as to allow us a choice. That's pretty powerful when you think of it.

@antarriaga254 I understand your concerns. I used to wonder if God was real. The clearest way to hear God is to read the Bible. The Bible has many writers but only one author. God will not abandon you if you call on the name of Jesus, and don't worry about changing yourslef. It isn't your job to change, God will change you. I don't mean don't change things like quit drugs or getting drunk or sins of the flesh. Be patient. Jesus loves you, and God bless you.

@antarriaga254 If you want to be better, you have to change yourself. God instilled the ability to think for yourself and to act for yourself. The entire point of Christianity is to struggle to become more like God or closer to holiness.
God can always hear what you cry out to Him, but sometimes it is difficult to hear the reply. I agree that the Bible will help you. I know it's a lot to read, but if you try, God will help you understand.You must remember though that it is about seeking God.

@antarriaga254 May I kindly invite you to consider this: maybe God isn't the one who is blind and deaf, maybe its you. Now please, i don't mean to insult you, but the truth is until we have the Spirit of God dwelling in us, we are ALL OF US, blind and deaf to the voice and leading of God.
Once a person receives Jesus Christ as LORD and SAVIOR - repenting of their sins, and turning wholly over to GOD, committing their lives to Him (not a church), then your spiritual eyes and ears will be open!

@antarriaga254 God speaks in mysterious ways, and not always when we would like things to happen. He will answer if you will listen, and He always sees you, He will never leave you. he loves you so much. and about not being well, i know in a sense what youre going through. im not deaf, blind or mute physically, but sometimes i am spiritually. As for the illness goes, i have Epilepsy. I thanks God it is controlled by medicine. I also have Essential Tremors. My case of Tremors is so rare my

@antarriaga254 doctor cant find anything to help me. I have to lean fully on God for that. Before i really opened up to God and who he was, no sermon in the world went to good soil. I am learning now that things happen to us by what we say. if i want to be healed, if YOU want to be healed, pray to God and speak outloud that you are healed. not everything we want will take place on this earth, but if we go to heaven, we will all be healed. i will be able to run, dance, jump, swim, etcetera.

@antarriaga254 when i speak to god through prayer or just plain talk to him he doesnt speak to me lituraly directly in my ear with his voice if he did that i think i'd be deaf lol meaning we are to sinful theseday's for him to do that he is pure and holy, we are sinful and wicked, have you ever been in the dark for so long then once you expose yourself to light you get a lil blind for a second? imagine your ear's and how much evil we hear just in one day! now if gods holy voice spoke

@antarriaga254 I know you're getting a lot of responses, but here's my two cents. Sometimes, we don't hear what God's saying because we don't like the answer. Other times, we aren't paying attention. God doesn't literally speak to you; there's no flash of light or strange dream. The "little voice" just sounds like a thought. If you pray to God and then pay very close attention, He does answer you with your own thoughts. Hope that helps.

@antarriaga254 One time I've learned in Sunday School that God needs persistance. Keep on praying. The book of Joshua says, " for the Lord your God will be with you, wherever you go." He told that to Joshua, but I believe he meant that to everybody. Jesus loves you. I will be praying for you.

@antarriaga254 , I encourage you to keep seeking until you come to know God, the God of Abraham and Isaac and of Jacob, to know Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit.
He is not mute, though we don't always hear Him, and perhaps indeed, He refrains from audible speech sometimes. Neither is He deaf nor blind. He does however, know your heart and the intent behind the questions that you ask.
Jesus died that you might Live forever with God-- you could say perhaps-- so you'd "be [all] better."

A Sinner is anyone who's character is unlike God's and that covers everyone.), we are all deaf, blind and ultimately dead to God. what you're wanting is for God to come and help you see, help you hear, and bring you to life. Go to a church that teaches the Bible and is willing to pray for you and with you and share life with you while you seek to know God.

i love the music part to this song, it really matches the lyrics, it sets a sort of haunting mood. We are easily caught up with the distractions of the world wanting to be loved but getting hurt yet we take for granted the unconditional never ending love of our lord and savior gave to us through the bible, Please correct me if i'm wrong.

Maybe i didnt express my self in a clear way.
What i ment was wouldnt it be great, in a difrent way, to hear Emiliana Torrini sing this song. She has a very spesial voice and it would put her tuch on the song and that i would think would make the song, not better, but difrent and verry beutyfull.
