  • UGh they have a token black in everything now....

  • Disney formula. Uninspiring supporting cast (except Lotti, she was good). There was absolutely no back story for the shadowman, which he would have been the most interesting and sinister character (and exceptional in comparison with other disney villains) if we actually knew how he actually became the shadowman. The two main characters were annoying and the switch between them falling in love was abrupt despite spending a lot of time together compared to other disney princesses.

  • @Sariface18 not to mention the winning factor for the good guys was breaking a pendant....that is poor writing for a critical plot device. Also from climax to the end of the movie to five minutes to wrap up, wow, that's rushed.

  • Thumbs up if The SHadowman has been the SCARIEST vilian yet

  • This movie was nice and all, but i don't consider it a classic. I just didn't get the feeling i usually get when i watch the old disney classics.

And NO, I am not racist. -__- All of my best friends are black!!

  • @flyablekokoro123 YOU'RE A FUCKEN RACIST!

  • @patrickbowers1 -____- smh. kay.

  • Well, Tiana was a very fascinating princess, a very nice personality that gave her a lot of depth. But...I don't know, I felt the story sort of lacked and it sucks because they had such very interesting characters to work with but they story was just cute at most. Stil, she's a lovely princess. I wonder if they'll ever bring all the princesses together in some kind of special one day.

  • Why in the heck was she a frog for the 3/4 of the movie? Why did she have to earn to be a freaking princess? Why was she was a waitress? I'm sorry I saw the movie and saw stereotypes all the way. I mean i can still take it at the entertainment level but you also have to be realistic too.

  • @Makey156 I think people keep forgetting that Princess and the Frog is based off the story the "Frog Prince." The whole point of her being a frog is supposed to be a twist on a classic story, where instead of the frog turning into a human, it's the other way around. I think they made Tiana a waitress because it showed how hardworking and driven she is. It also shows how too work oriented and almost losing sight on what was important, which she figures out in the end. That's realistic to me.

  • @Makey156 Plus, Cinderella and Belle didn't start off as princesses so there's absolutely no way that Tiana is being penalized. And now that I think about it, Cinderella was a princess who started off as a maid for her step mother and step sisters.

  • @Makey156 Belle and Cinderella had to marry into royalty. To have a job is a huge display of independence and capability, she's the only Princess to have actually had one. (Though Mulan did work it in the military, it was not marketed like employment than it was enrollment)

Realistically ALL women have do this. All girls should know they can look after themselves and be proud. The notion of a man coming in and whisking one away to take care of everything is a stupid, old, 50's sexist ideal.

  • but if you are a black male you can't be a prince

  • i really like the move and it really made me happy to see the first African American princess, it lets girls no no matter what your race is you can be a princess. =)

  • I didn't love the movie. I mean it was OK; kids will love it, I think the voice of the prince wasn't casted very well, and how he was animated was OK. Some of the songs were good though :) I really don't see the big deal about the race, I mean there's been a Middle Eastern, Asian, Native American, a different species, different nationalities. It's just another step :) For the kids today this will be a childhood classic for them, but I think for the older generation it was a bit of a let down.

  • Very very interesting animation.. This minutes went by so swiftly!! I really thoroughly enjoyed the animation. It is nice to go back sometimes and see what has been going on in this world in the past!!!! Well done!!!!!!!! View this for free, on freecartoons!!

  • mulan and Pocahontas were not princess' at all, how did they make the list?

  • @keebe2006 Pocahontas is a princess by Native America standards because she was the Daughter of the chief who is in charge of the tribe. Mulan isnt a princess by traditional standards (Born into and/or married into royalty) But Mulan was kind, brave, loyal, stood up for what was right even if it meant breaking the rules, and save all of China. And was very pretty doing it. Thats probably why disney made her a princess! : D

  • I just watched this movie and I love it! One of the best animated movies ever! It is so amazing!

  • So many princess fans and no one likes Jasmine.

  • @Knoxpeople hahahahahahahahahahahahaha weirdo

  • I don't thank tangled counts in the disney princess product line since it isn't 2-D

  • 8.4/10

    Better than the underwheming Tangled

  • ok why is everyone saying why is there a black princess not a white one this is the 21st century we go for equality i think its cool that theres a black princes and lets face it she kinda awsome stop be a racist pig and live in the modern life that im living

  • why am i watching this :L

  • hobbies shmobbies :L

  • Yes there are Black Princesses, I apologize if I offended anyone. It's just that most of the time you watch T.V. & all you see & heard about (for example) is the Royal Family in England or the recent wedding of Prince Albert & princess Charlene of Monaco ect. How come I had to Google just to find a Black Princess? Why don't they broadcast other cultures & races wedding? Yes I found 1 Princess Angela of Liechtenstein, she is from Panama & she's a black princess & I found many Black Princesses.

  • Reporter: So what did you learn?

Me: Ive learned to avoid Voodoo, Hoodoo, Some things I havent even tried! But mainly my friends on the other side...

  • I feel like I'm in the minority! I just find it sad that the only African American Disney Princess movie bored me to tears. I fell asleep watching it. I think animation is not what matters taking Pixar's AMAZING story lines for example (although traditional animation is better). Instead it's good stories and good music. But I really don't think this movie had it. Too many hyperactive sidekicks and blahblah voodoo.

  • @katandann Just let the ideas flow instead of desperately attempting to revive the renaissance. It's like straining out a dingleberry! Tangled I did like.

  • This is the first time that we have a black princess, living in a American city. Belle lived in France, Aurora too; Cinderella in England; Snow White in England; Ariel near Greece, in Atlantis; Jasmine in Middle-East (near Egypt); Pocahontas in 17th century America; Mulan in China. Only one princess was never credited anywhere, and that's Odette of Swan Lake. That movie also has two sequels, but she was never declared as Disney's princess. And I think that she lived in England.

  • I love the fact that is a 2D. 3D movies are so ugly. Love the classics.

  • This is a magnificent animation all around that I just saw on crtic.co.cc. The scarce dialogue, cinematography but specially the 2 young leads are ... inspiring, breathtaking, relentless. the awkward perfection of this sound insert is, for me, the perfect metaphor of the surprising stuff this animation is made of

  • I cant click the link on the bottom cause the stupid youtube thing pops up!! :<

  • esta reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee bueno

  • The princess and the frog is a close 2nd to Tangled, but rapunzel is still better than tiana!

  • i like d gal in d video <3

  • More 2D classics

  • I support seeing Better images and messagesseen for black women in media.

  • @rishabhrox1 I'm gonna have to chalk that up to a vocabulary blur between "red indian"/"indian" xD Native American is probably the best word.... But yes, I'm aware that she's not a native of India.

  • @Ttadmer oops, point taken - French is indeed a nationality. & thank you.

  • @XinoraKnWing Jasmine is Arabic, Mulan is Chinese, Pocahontas is Indian, Belle is French. Just because Tiana is the first black princess doesn't mean this is the first time Disney's touched another race.

  • @chiandroses Being French isn't a race though it's a nationality though the others you mentioned are okay but I see where your coming from.

  • @chiandroses

Nope, but its a damn while Disney did anything black outside the Lion King. I mean, Tarzan's white in africa, and the black guy is a supporting role in Atlantis. THIS was a long time coming...and a damn masterpiece imo.

  • @RandomMindz also a good point, and agreeable.

  • Actually Pocahontas is a native american or a red indian not an indian!

  • @chiandroses actually pocahontas is a native american or red indian..........not indian (from the country india)

  • None of the kids picked up the message of hard work, responsibility, and doing what is right not what is easy. Really sad.

  • 2:28 lol, the way she say that. Really silly.

  • i really didnt like the princess and the frog :p

they were frogs the whole movie, and that really upset me :|

    tangled won me over more

  • I wanna know y people are being rasist about princess and the frog?

  • @Mrsleticiajonas Who gives a crap what race the dang princess is...its a freaking movie for god sakes.!!!!! Thats whats wrong with the world? If a white man or woman does it, the different races are griping about it and trying to make headlines that it is racist??? Come on its a freaking disney movie who cares if the princess is black white indian or japanese???

  • @mymattieforever Why The Hell Are You soo mad all i said was a simple question you didn't have to he mad to many hype people gosh calm down next time don't repond >:(

  • I hate When people make things such a big deal.

  • my favorite movie waz tangled it is the bom ha

  • My favorite Disney princess is definitely Belle

  • Stopped watching after that bitch in the yellow shirt started talking.

  • acctuly after seeing this it became my favoritte diceny movie :)

  • my fav disney princess is Tiana

  • Ariel, Tiana, and Pocahontas are my favorite Princesses! I totally agree with RileyLily. There should be a latin princess!

    Options:

The Princess and the Pea The Nutcracker

    The Swan Princess

DISNEY! DO NOT turn her 3D or change the title of the story! (Rapunzel into TANGLED???? Princess and the Frog brought you back! With Tangled in 3D, you ruined a classic opportunity to bring Disney into a new hand drawn renaissance! EPIC FAILURE!)

  • was that a hindu mofo she got with in the end??wheres the blk prince in this shyt?

  • @frstypuffpow9790 Why do i care about real life examples? I'm just saying that Disney is very hypocrite about the standar they put of the word 'princess'. Not interested in future replies! Thanks!

  • my fav disney princess is pochahantas

  • They need to make an Indian American princess

    Like a modern day one

And the first gay Disney Prince

  • fuj eao

  • i still love 2d animations! :D

  • ok, my two cents here is that "princess" tiana wasn't a princess...she work all her life and ended working (i supposse) all her life. She's the third girl with dark skin tone (Pocahontas WAS actually a native princess but Esmerald was a gypsy, not?)that isn't considere a princess by disney eventhough they made a film. They worked hard, were considered the lowest by society and NOW they're princess? Come on!

  • @BlueberryNane Well, Cinderella and Belle weren't technically princesses at first either.

  • @BlueberryNane Actually, she IS a princess! :D She marries Prince Naveen at the end of the movie, and effectively becomes Princess of Maldonia. It's not like, say, Pocahontas, who is a Chieftan's daughter and not, technically, a princess, or Mulan, whose only contact with royalty is that she hugged the Emperor once.

Also I think they specified "African-American" or "black", not "dark skin tone". Because yeah, there are other dark skin toned leading ladies.

  • Okay, No Offence To Anyone how liked this film but... I really did not like it. I thought it was a TERRIBLE movie "Inspired" by the AMAZING book "The Frog Princess By E.D. Baker" If they had made the book COMPLETLY based on "The Frog Princess" book, then I would have probably loved it. But it was put in the age of Jazz, it had Vodoo, none were in the book! They say that this was based on the book by E.D. Baker, but the only idea they used was The Princess Turned Frog idea. I just did not like it

  • With all the scary voodoo stuff in the movie, you'd think the makers were trying to scare little kids. It is for kids after all, is'nt it?

  • @jessewam I guess you are not familiar with Disney movies.

  • I love Disney movies, but I always wonder why isn't there a black princess? For many years all the Disney Princesses are white, ok not all of them, but why not a black one for once? Yes in real life there are no black princesses, but hey there aren't any fairy godmothers, genies, beasts, wicked witches and so on in reality either. I'm not trying to sound racist, I just think that every Disney princess should be of every race.

  • @XinoraKnWing Why does everyone think everything has to be about race for? If a white man or woman is something or does something a different kind of race thinks it isnt right that they should be that person and do what they are doing? Who cares if a princess is freaking black, white, mexican, japanese, or chinese, its a freaking movie...Thats whats wrong with the world too many racist people!!!!!!!

  • @XinoraKnWing Duh, of course existed black Princesses, Africa had black princesses xD

  • @XinoraKnWing Walt Disney himself was a racist nazi of a man, that's why.

  • @skierboy626 Just because he was believed to be racist against Jews doesnt mean he was nor would explain why he left out an African American princess. Possibly would explain why if he left out a Jewish princess, but not an African American :)

  • Comment removed

  • @XinoraKnWing Of course there are black princesses. Way before our so called ''civilization'' was established, there have been close-to monarchies in African countries. As to continue what you wrote, then a black princess in a movie with a white medieval society with fairy godmothers, genies (more middle-eastern) witches and so on, wouldn't work out.

  • @XinoraKnWing I agree with everything you said, except for one thing. there are black princesses. I'm mixed race and i'm the princess of senegal. My cousins are also heirs and they are fully black xxx

  • @XinoraKnWing There are black princesses you don't see them because there in the motherland. It took Disney a while but they did. And the princess you see (Tiana) was not rich but had to work for what she got. This got alot of negative attention but I thought it was good it portrayed real life not just only for black little girls but for all races of people who aren't born into royalty. This could be one of the best of princess movies not because the lead was black but because of the reality.

  • @coolkidd151 totally agree

  • @coolkidd151 Couldn't agree more!

  • que significa

  • @coolkidd151 the reality that black people in the 20's would be so closely interacting as friends with the richest white folk, doesn't seem plausible for that time period. That's the only factor about your "reality" that bugs me.

  • @Sariface18 I was referring more to the fact that Tiana had to work to get what she wanted and everything wasn't handed to her. I didn't really see it so much as a friendship but more as a business arrangement. Tianas' mom worked for Lotties' dad they spent time together but I didn't see it as more than a close acquaintance. I agree the ending was rushed but at the same time it was written for children. That means they aren't going to show racism and the storyline isn't going to be to complex.

  • @Sariface18 Agreed Lottie and Tiana would not be friends in real life. My family is from the south, and when I look through old family albums there isnt a white person in sight. Mostly because of the crow law crap.

  • @XinoraKnWing after this the only one left is a Hispanic/Latina princess

  • @zombiefan011 Amen to that, I can't wait to see that :-)

  • @MrSpeechie2010 maybe they redo the story of Don Juan or something

  • @XinoraKnWing lol honestly i never noticed i just simply loved the movie but im glad they finally did it

  • @XinoraKnWing Who told you there were/are no black princesses/queens? Google please.

  • @Goofballhero what do you want me to say? i was just saying that the princess is not cool..i didn't say anything about race or whatsoever..what you want me to say "there's no such thing as black princess?" i didn't even say it so quit telling me that i'm racist coz i'm not..

  • @LuluHeeNim Well I was joking around about the racist part but when you respond with a smiley face what am I supposed to think?

  • experience the difference between cartoonsi.co.cc and other cartoon watching sites...and then im sure your ganna love this site cartoonsi.co.cc...!

  • I like the disney movie where this white guy with a whip, just takes it out, and starts slashing at these african americans working at a cotton field, because there working too slow, while the rest looks scared if they're gonna get it too. While this is happening, the owner of the plantation is sitting in the front porch driking a hot of coffee, served by his african american maid, taking a sip and having a big smile, the owner says:"Now this is America. God bless us all, Amen."

  • I saw it on cartoonsi.co.cc and it's a beautiful warm, touching, fun and classic movie of all times.

  • IT WAS AWESOME

  • I loved the princess. I disliked the prince, his character development was poorly explained. I still don't understand why they fell in love.

They had some pretty good musical numbers, but they seemed to me to be sung to softly (maybe that's a jazz thing I don't know) I felt like I was straining my ears to catch the words. Awesome bad guy, Comic relief (alligator guy) was not funny at all.

  • /watch?v=yhIov5DnX5s&feature=fvw

  • You know, I wish some of the fatass, douchebagish assholes at my school would care to read some books. They apparently have little to no intelligence in their heads, and me and my friends are always having to explain everything to them in complete detail and not miss a damn specific. I'm saying this becuase they seem to think only girls will like 'The Princess and The Frog' becuase the word 'Princess is in the title. But, of course, over 9000 grown men love the film. Tomorrow, I'm shooting them.

  • @spiderguy369 The people at my school, I want to shoot. Sorry, I ran out of characters.

  • how dare they kill the lil bug???!!!!!!! >.<

  • I think they should put a spanish/latin princess

  • @RileyLily14 why??? we got plenty of those in southern cali.

  • @RileyLily14 they don't need a stupid princess

  • @IrishFig FOR YOUR INFORMATION, IM LATIN SO DONT INSULT!!! she would be gorgeous, spontaneous and smart too.. so shut UP they need more diversity, so go and educate yourself!!!! desgraciado.....

  • @RileyLily14 Well latinos and Spanish people are fucking stupid. Yeah olay olay. Also, I hope she gets turned into a diaper.

  • @RileyLily14 Yeah, just imagine: Once upon a tim,. in a magical place Called Ciudad Juarez lived a young beautiful princess. Then either she gets rape or kidnapped for human trafficking......the end.

  • @chavo566 HAhahah this made me lol so hard!! XD

  • @RileyLily14 Do you have spanish/latin animators??? Oh good ...then make one!!!
