So, if I get this correctly, you need to view the projection from some angle above the apparent ground plane ('into' the cone).

Recording the multiple images is the EASY part. The programer use the free program Mikumikudance, to generate a full 3D dancing animation that is then put in the hardware. In fact, both the song and the dance were borrowed and had been available online for a while now.

That's all a hologram is; a projected image. And it is a genuine 3D hologram because it changes depending on where you look. If the "hologram" is solid and has mass, it isn't a hologram anymore.

@MrAnimethunder Dun thnk so. this is under the table. so they need to have a custom stage built for it. which means cost increases. Until they can simplify this and make it cheaper, dun think it will be implemented anyday.
