  • very cool

  • What a cuteeeeeeeee!!! :)

  • I have an acreage and love to feed the birds and squirrels and raccoons and skunks and gophers . . . and foxes and deer . . .

There are some unevolved people around that try to harm them. When I catch them, I make them cry like little girls. Shows what men they really are.

  • well nice

  • Be careful! You don't want to get SQUAIDS.

  • One word. Tranquility.

  • Squirrels come to our porch & back door sometimes looking for food. We had this one squirrel named Sammi that used to come and see us a lot, but he doesn't come anymore. I don't know what happened to him. He would jump on us but he won't really let us pet him he'd try to bite. He only wanted food. :/

A squirrel came to our house today and I gave him some peanuts. It didn't come close to me enough that I could pet it. It was fine, though as long as I got to look at it. :)

  • If someone posts a comment about shooting squirrels with pellet guns, just remember, that IS illegal, to shoot them out of season, in a non hunting area, and with a pellet gun, they can go to jail, and they can look up their IP address. animal cruelty is against the law.

But I am glad to see so many people are outraged by animal cruelty. All the experiments they do for medical research, on squirrels is far more weird and sick than teenagers shooting a few with pellet guns.

  • Great video! Sad that people are actually allowed to kill these animals. Kings of the world aren't they?

  • Once u start feeding a squirrel and he gets used to you. you have to keep feeding right? cause i want to feed one but dont u have to keep feeding it because it will keep expecting u?????

  • Wow, I have a pet squirrel with videos posted of him and hes my little companion, but I never would have imagined this kind of trust being made with a wild squirrel, did u start feeding him the moment he began to ween from its mother? thats the only way I can see this happening, that or someone else did before he met you... however you did it, good job :)

  • @lmos26 No, just worked with her over time. Some are more "scratchable" than others. As stated below, you start with curled-up fingers to the stomach while they eat from your palm. Actually had several that I could pet. One baby let me pet him almost from the start.

  • @armadilloze Yeah that's why I thought you must of met this one when it was weening because they tend to just let you pick them up, totally naive to danger... You must be a very patient man to never over step their boundaries and violate such a delicate trust :) He almost trusts you as much as my little Zosi trusts me and I raised from a pinky

  • I love the trust bond between the two of you in the vid.

  • dude... how'd u do that?!?!?!?!

  • I wanna pet it!! @_@ the squirrels around here run away so fast and when i try to toss some food to them they must think i chucked a rock at em cause i blink and POOF! they're gone. :(

  • I find most squirrels will tolerate damn near anything if you feed them. The ones around the campgrounds here will crawl all over you and check you pockets if they think you might have something that even resembles food on you.

  • @aemidaniels I had one, Nutalie, that would dig in my loose sweatpants pockets all the way up to her back legs. And she would "hang out," sit beside (or on) me with no food treats.

  • lol Armadilloze: Squirrel Talker, next on Animal Planet.

I love how the squirrel seems to know that getting the whole nut is the que that todays wild petting zoo session is over.

  • cute

  • I also feed 1 squirrel that visit me at least 3 times a day....just now she allow me touch his front leg and stomach...it took me 8 monts before pet her...she also have a very small baby squirrel hope he/she will come soon

    very nice video!

  • I find they're total fiends for popcorn. I was mugged by a gang of them in East London last week. I concur that they nibble your fingers because they mistake them for nuts. They don't have a vicious bone in their fluffy little bodies, unlike some of the commenters here.

  • some one send this to rwj

  • Have you ever been bitten? I love to feed them and find them adorable... but swear they tried to jump me last time at the park :( They came out of every tree and was surrounded, so dropped the food and got out of there lol Would love to pet one, but am a bit hesitant... they'll just run if don't want to be touched, right?

  • @meloliver619 Noop, just a little nibble when they think my finger is a treat. They can't see what's near their mouth. Eventually they learn where the food is. Yeah, they'll run off if you try to touch one, unless he's used to it.

  • ewwww cute i want like pet but...i am not good to take care :/

  • I hope you wash your hands after scratching it as it may have parasites in it's fur!

  • Awesome!

  • This thing is just a rat with a bushy tail. Perhaps cute but they can be very pesty too if they invade spaces in your basement.

  • im bringing my pellet gun to your house and then were gonna put that squirrel on the stove lol

  • @goarmy979 Wow, a real man. Take away your little pellet gun and what are you? Some of us don't need pellet guns to be a man. You do, little boy.

  • @armadilloze how else would you kill it snap its neck lol

  • @goarmy979 Almost all serial killers and other perverts like Jeffrey Dahmer started out torturing and/or killing animals. Were you friends with Dahmer, or an admirer? Does your mother know you say things like this?

  • @armadilloze i dont like killing animals for fun and i dont torture animals either i simply kill animals to eat them have you ever had squirrel stew becouse if you havent you should try it its reall really good no joke

  • @goarmy979 Just read where a friend had a cat shot with a pellet gun. I've had one squirrel shot, looked like a pellet gun wound. Couldn't catch him to get him to a vet, but he would let me feed him. He dragged both back legs for a couple of months but eventually got better, but still limped. A real champ. That is what happens when you miss, lots of suffering. Still fun?

  • @goarmy979 So what is it with you kids and your pellet guns? Do your parents know what you do with them? Can't your daddy afford targets?

  • @armadilloze im 17 and yes i can afford targets but again i dont shoot peoples pets i shoot wild animals to eat and my pellet gun isnt like an ordinary pellet gun its desighned for hunting and only hunting and plus its better than trapping them and throwing them away while there in the cage like alot of other do and again i dont torture animals or shoot them for fun. conversation over

  • @goarmy979 So you don't deny you're OK if you just wound one and leave it to suffer and probably die a slow death, tough guy. Thanks for clearing that up.

  • @goarmy979 You should try shooting yourself with your pellet gun and see how it feels. Children like yourself should not be playing with guns. Go buy some Legos or something, sheesh.

  • @armadilloze haha. I shoot squirrels, but this one I would definitely not shoot, it a very nice well behaved squirrel!

  • @armadilloze What did he say?

  • @armadilloze: that's a confounding variable ... you could also argue that serial killers started out with broken families. Dahmer's parents divorced, Ed Gein's parents divorced, Hitler's dad beat him frequently because of retirement and failed farming efforts, etc.

  • @AznInsurrection777 Those are things done to them. Animal torture is a thing done by them by choice, a behavior, and has an almost 100% correlation. Your sample size is too small. You cannot pick and choose only the cases that fit your assertion. That's bad science.

  • @armadilloze: @armadilloze: Eric Cooke, Dahmer, Gein, Hitler, David Birnie, Kathleen Folbigg, Arnold Sodeman, Jack Unterweger, Marc Dutroux, Paul Bernardo, Peter Woodcock, Daniel Camargo Barbosa, Luis Garavito, Pedro López, Vinko Pintarić, Václav Mrázek, Marie Fikáčková, Dagmar Overbye, Guy Georges, Francis Heaulme, Peter Kürten, Paul Ogorzow, Charles Sobhraj, Leonarda Cianciulli, Seisaku Nakamura, Juana Barraza, José Luis Calva, Adolfo Constanzo, Zdzisław Marchwicki, Ion Rîmaru, Moses Sithole

  • @armadilloze: Francisco Garcia Escalero, could go on.

Hm, r ≈ 1.0 source? Sounds like terrible science to me. Population: serial killers. Take an SRS of that to calculate an unbiased estimate of population correlation efficient. r of 1.0 sounds VERY unlikely.

Things that happen to you can influence who you are, as well as things that don't happen to you (imagine what things kids w/ abusive parent(s) or 1 parent or no parents get/don't get). Not just things you do out of your own will.

  • @AznInsurrection777 Please learn to read. I didn't say all, I said "almost 100% correlation." I'd wager that some serial killers led privileged lives. SOME, not all. Show me a TV show about serial killers and abusive parents. There were enough cases of animal torturers to make a one hour program out of it.

So are you defending animal torture or whut, sicko? Do you torture animals for fun? My guess is yes.

  • @armadilloze: "Hm, r ≈ 1.0 source?" is correlation is ABOUT EQUAL to 100%. I mentioned "r of 1.0 is VERY unlikely" (which would mean ALL) afterwards, but you know what I meant..

Otherwise no, correlation isn't really all that close to 100%. As I said earlier, serial killers is our population. The chances of taking a simple random sample out of the population and getting a 100% correlation is very unlikely since many serial killers were not animal torturers.

Ah, <3 the ad hominem btw

  • @armadilloze: So, because there's a documentary on something, it must be WOAHHHH BROO totally fucking important shit here. "Haunted New Orleans" was on the Discovery AND History channel.

  • @AznInsurrection777 There's a program on Animal Planet at 4:00 a.m. CT titled "My First Kill" about how serial killers start with animals. Maybe it will repeat again (this is a repeat from earlier today). If not, maybe their web site has something. Knowledge is power.

  • @armadilloze: orly? There's also a search engine called Google. If you type "broken families crime" or "divorce crime" into the search box, you'll gain super powers from reading the different results.

  • @armadilloze: O god, I just reread your post about the documentary and laughed. ANIMAL PLANET of course the statistics aren't rigged (if any are provided, at all).

At least it wasn't a documentary by PETA, holy shit. 'Knowledge' from PETA would be like giving you negative power or some shit, making you weaker O.o...

  • @AznInsurrection777 Evidence? It's easy to make such a charge. Ignored.

So what have you done to animals? C'mon, brag a little! All psychos like attention.

  • @armadilloze: Evidence? What are you talking about? The nonexistent EVIDENCE for a 'r' of near 1.0? Ignored.

Do you know what I've done to animals? I ... I ... fed a stray cat cat food :'( and pet it please don't report me to PETA now. *sobs* I didn't mean to come off as a braggart, sorry if I did. I do need attention though ... kinda like how Gein needed attention!

Cept when I deal with demented animals like you I tend to pwn some n00b ass with pro 1337 logic.

  • @armadilloze your an ass, what in gods name has him feeding a squirrel got to do with being a serial killer? Not a damn thing!!

  • @MickeyLS He is replying to a comment saying they shoot squirrels... you clearly aren't a veteran of the internet.

  • @armadilloze Did you take that from the Avengers trailer? I don't even think that trailer came out before you said this.. it's actually remarkable.

  • @goarmy979 Fucking scum. You pathetic waste of a human life.

  • @goarmy979 You really shouldn't emoroider the US Army Logo; Cause the military is made of real men. And real men don't fire at things that never harmed them. -.- Hooah.

  • are you serious?? that is amazing!

  • very cool he really trusts you

  • do they like cheese puffs? lol.

  • nomnomnomnomnom

  • i see squirrels in my backyard all the time i just dont know how to get the squirrels to come to me

  • you are very brave; i'm surprised you still have fingers

  • OMG! hesss sooo BIG. Hes like a kitty!

  • i could never image myself petting a squirrel like a cat

  • That is cute :)

  • I got one who comes maybe 2 feet from me. Your completely right you build up their trust and they get closer and closer.

  • That's adorable. What does her fur feel like, in comparison to something else?

  • you do realize if that bit you, you would have rabies

  • @ThomasWinkworth My wife was bitten by a squirrel last year. I've been feeding them all my life, and never had this happen. But I guess she was unlucky. Here in Iowa, at least, it is extremely rare for squirrels to get rabies.

  • @FaceEatenByMonkey That sounds really bad. To me anyway, it probably isn't bad at all. I think squirrels have gained quite a bad reputation, in the UK anyway, due to the London plague a few hundred years back. My nana used to always tell me to stay away from any small rodent, whether it be a rat or a squirrel or even the little harvest mouse.

  • @ThomasWinkworth I always hate hearing stories about non-native species. While I'm from the US, I lived in Australia for a while, where introduced species - e.g. rabbit, cane toad, the common cat, etc. - have wrecked havoc with the native wildlife. I've also followed the stories about squirrels (and the American crayfish) in the U.K. The Eastern Grey is wiping out the native red squirrel in the U.K. Unfortunately, the U.K. doesn't have as many hunters or means of removing them permanently.

  • !!!!!!!! omg

  • Cutesquirrel......big hands

  • can we have part 2

  • so sweet :^)

  • AWE!!! My yard squirrels dart away when I enter the yard, but in the parks in NYC, I hand-feed the little buggers, and I am sure they would let me pet them if I tried!

  • now i'm a fan of squirrella

  • sometimes they freak out and bite you. Be careful.

  • cute! little animal

  • It was probally raised by people. I have one now, and hope he will stay with me. I landscape and will let him run around.

  • @chillpickle420 At the time I had several that I could pet and scratch, so I don't think so. Almost all would at least eat from my hand.

  • @armadilloze I know the method(s) to get them to eat from your hand, but what did you do to get them used to you moving, scratching, etc. ?

  • @hellerZauberer Patience, mostly. Just a steady process of trust building. I don't know, exactly.

  • You are so lucky to have these animals in your backyard that you can interact with.

  • cook it..hahah j/k..

  • How nice for the squirrel! :) You're my hero. I love squirrels and wildlife, it's great that you aren't feeding him garbage or junk food. That's one happy squirrel, and why not! :) Thanks for making my day!

  • Good rubbin's and scratchin's when you got a good meal goin' on. what more could you ask for?

  • Ohhhh this is so cute! Does he come often? would you recognize him if you'll see him again?

  • what a beautiful animal...

  • Omg that was sooo cool

  • You know they carry rabies among other diseases you better be careful.

  • @wolf321830 really??

  • @tomtom899ify Yes really

  • i shoot squirrels to but i also have done this its really cool to have a wild animal eat out of your hand

  • hjones1 i'll take your rifle and shove it up ur ass, then you will need the scope to find it again

  • I like red squirrels and gray squirrels, but I kill chipmunks and ground squirrels. They cause damage to the garden.

  • I dub thee "The Squirrel Whisperer".

  • Squirrel is like" As long as I get food you can touch me anywhere."

  • THE SQUIRREL IS HUGE !

  • That's the most adorable thing in the world!!!

  • Really sweet. My sister had one that would scramble into the house when she opened her back door after work, nibbling handouts while she cooked dinner. I brought over pistachios once and made an instant friend. The little bugger would sometimes steal lettuce form my salad and perch on my shoulder to eat it.

  • i want this squirrwl it is sooo cute!

  • @hjones1 As long as you don't fire. In my and most states it's against the law to kill or injure wildlife. Normal people would never "prefer" injuring living things.

It's easy to shoot, any redneck can do it. Much harder to do what I do. I doubt you could.

  • @armadilloze i wanna try to pet 1 but everytime i get and it starts eating and i go 2 pet it scratches me cauze my bro or some1 opens the door and scares the sht out of it >.<

  • @armadilloze Choice and ability are two different things. You'd do well to remember that...

  • @armadilloze I like your post. It's quite interesting to see. I've been feeding neighborhood squirrels - both Fox and Eastern Greys - since I was kid. (I'm now in my late 30s). I introduced my wife to the habit, and she was actually bitten!!! Not that I need to tell you or anyone this, but wild animals - even squirrels - are just that: wild. They are unpredictable. I'd love to be able to pet one, but I'll be happy with simply feeding them. :)

  • @armadilloze While I like you post, I disagree a bit. It's not easy to shoot something living, and not "any redneck can do it." I've spent the majority of my life hunting. Guns don't aim and shoot themselves. Hunting and marksmanship take skill, and taking the life of a living creature - even for food - is something that not everyone can do - hence processed meat that everyone buys. It's not against the law to kill wildlife. It's against the law to do so without a license and out of season.

  • @armadilloze redneck eat squirrel, raccoon, skunk and possum.. oh i forgot they are human

  • @armadilloze Squirrel tastes good, it's a lot like rabbit. Just because there's one idiot who shoots squirrels for fun doesn't mean everyone who shoots squirrels is a redneck, that's prejudice smart guy. And it isn't illegal to kill wildlife in most states, it's called hunting. And as for "normal" people would never prefer injuring living things, that's correct, that's why when I hunt I aim to kill...... now try not to sound like such a pompous tool when you reply to this.

  • @LukeRech So is this fun for you? Do you get gratification from it? Have you ever shot a dog or a cat for fun? What if you miss and just wound? Does that excite you too?

  • @armadilloze Are you retarded? I said hunting, no one in their right mind would shoot a dog or cat, most cats and dogs are domesticated. Squirrels aren't usually domesticated. And yes I do get gratification from hunting, especially when I get a nice buck, I bow hunt and I harvest what I kill. And practice gives me the skill to make a fatal shot, I have never left the forest knowing I shot an animal and couldn't find it.

  • @armadilloze How did you know it wasn't rabid, besides the crazy foaming. Did you just decide to take chances?

  • @armadilloze The majority of states also have a law indicating that squirrels are vermin and you can legally kill them on your property as long it is not in violation of other laws like handling a firearm in a residential area or the like. That law is the major reason the "Squirrel launcher" videos are so popular and still legal.

  • @crashkun Dunno about that. In Texas, only a licensed pest control company or the city or state animal control officers can kill or trap ANY wildlife.

The squirrel launchers are simply sicko animal torturers who will go on to bigger crimes. Almost all serial killers started with animals. Tell a girl you do that and see if you get a date, tough guy. Or maybe you're not interested in girls?

  • @armadilloze fairly brave of you to take a verbally abusive tactic to show your kind nature for animals. I was simply stating what i know to be true. If your state requires more restraint in handling small animals i might reflect more on what that says about the populace and how they are quick to lash out even in the comments of a video. Perhaps you should spend your efforts on better and proper things like trying to better the status of said animals instead of verbally attacking someone.

  • @hjones1 i'll take ur rifle and shove it up ur ass, then you will need the scope to find it again

  • @16jriel Ohhh, you're so smart... You got me.

You're actually a 16 year old fucking moron. Grow up, and learn about life. In the meantime, go fuck yourself.

  • @16jriel im shure hed shoot you before you got the chance to take it dumbass or atleast i would

  • lol loved it XD

  • beautiful video, I do the same with a squirrel in London hyde park, I meet him every evening, they are such lovely little creatures! God bless them

  • i love squirrels so much i get scitted in school some times and people call me squirrel boy

and i would like to know where i get them from =)

  • nice!!

  • this is amazing wow

i have three of them in my attic and dont know how to "evict" them..

maybe i can build them a nest/house in the back yard and put a sign"free house"

this is a great video thank you

  • aww lol this makes me wanna go play w/ the squirrels outside

  • i love squirrels but i want to pet a FREAKIN squirrel ugh

livin life to da fullest!!!!!!!!!!! wit SQUIRRELS!!

  • i know this trick; feed it and, while its busy eating, pet it, so that its too occupied to bite. Otherwise it will be on a biting spree everytime you touch it. I had a wild squirrel and chipmunk at home. The chipmunk was more wild and used to bite all the time.

  • that squirrel's not afraid of anything! the squirrels here in Los Angeles that come in my backyard trip out even if I flinch. I can never pet them! actually... I'm scared they'll bite to be honest.

  • Gosh...she is so beautiful!!!!!

I wish i could feed and touch her! :)

  • i dont think you should touch a squirrel at all , just feed and uve done enough. they dont like it clearly, they dont know its affection, they will feel frightened

  • is he or she friendly to any guy? or just to you... thats so awesome by the way

  • @lgx22 No one else has tried scratching so I dunno, but others have been able to hand-feed them.

  • @armadilloze well judging by the youtube vids i've seen, many has =)

  • can they bite?

  • @Doggorunning They will accidentally nibble on your fingers sometimes until they figure out where the nuts are. They can't see where they're eating, so they have to learn.

  • in my backyard its a( free for all) like on call of duty an the squrrils loose... lol

  • Maybe if your real lucky the squirrel will give you a flea or two and you can catch BUBONIC PLAGUE

  • Hmmm... you sure do seem to know a lot about pedophiles. Does this come from personal experience?

  • @armadilloze lol good answer

  • @Baldoxxx4000 get a life looser

  • nice !

  • Aww.!

  • how do you get them to trust you and eat out of your hand. i walk out with a nut toward a squirrel and it just runs!

  • you gotta sit still for a while...try getting it used to a specific feeder then bring it closer to you till it gets near you

  • See comments below. Ply them with food, basically. Takes a while for them to get used to you being around so be prepared to spend a lot of time. Now (Fall) is the best time because they are on the ground a lot and very active.

There's a lot of difference between squirrels. Some will come to you pretty quick, some may never.

  • @TheRealReasonForDP

It takes time and the squirrel has got to come to you. I have two wild squirrels that I hand feed. You can pet them and give them a bit of a scratch but NEVER grab one or attempt to pick one up. Everything has to be on thier terms or you might get a nip.

  • Yep... me too. I walk around arnd try to give them a cashew or something and they look at me as if I were oncoming traffic.

  • i can do that.

    its easy.

    make clicking sounds,

    slowly approach the animal,

stick your hand out and twitter your hand around

offer it food (if any) i have a video of me doing it.

  • I USED TO HAVE A PET SQUIRREL!!! his name was eddy :)

  • if I was that squirrel i'd be saying, "Bitch stop touching me so I can eat in peace!" LOL or " When I finish eating this u better get ur hand off a me b/c im gonna bite."

  • omg.. thats the cutest little creature on the planet

  • those little bastards...they chased my mom once lmao! it was hilarious but no i wouldn't try this myself lol

  • lol just thinking about what u said makes me laugh lol..about ur mom geting chased by squirrels no offence just funny

  • That's so cute when the squirrel grabs his hand to get more nuts. Cute.

  • that's awesome.

  • DONT MESS WITH HIS NUTS!

  • Nice visitor!

  • i have a 'pet' squirrel that i feed, if it really trust you put a little peanut butter on your hand and itll lick it

  • too cute

  • Sweet!

  • What a beautiful Fox Squirrel! She sure trusts you. How long have you been feeding her that she comes up to you like this?

  • Takes weeks to months of almost daily contact. Some will eat from your hand right away, others take a while. Some will let you scratch their belly while eating from your hand, then it's on from there.

  • @Zezrae how can u tell its a she, what if a its a he??

  • @yuhcgte its a she because females don't have monstrous balls :-)

  • it's been my observation :)

  • Comment removed

  • Good Work! I'm trying to do this myself but i don't have much patience

  • That was so sweet : )

  • exactly how do u get a wild squirrel to like me. we got tons of them all over the place. one of them always comes to our house for nuts. but i cant even et close to him

  • Kenny - takes a lot of patience and time nearby so they get used to you. Most people start by tossing them nuts nearby, then toss them closer and closer. Fall is the best time since they are on the ground more. See my video "First Time." There is a wide variance in behavior, so some will come up to you much sooner.

  • so is it soft?
