I was taught to stand on the propwash side, one hand on the strut if the plane rolls you're behind the prop and with a hand on strut you can pull yourself away from prop

Not a problem when the mechanic/pilot is sitting in the airplane...and a guy standing in front of the tail...

there is a person on the brakes, no chocks needed ;)
