  • Our Generation really got to see some truly cool spacecraft like the SpinDrift. When you think about it, we were literally raised on the concept of spaceflight; 2001, Star Trek, Space 1999, Lost in Space, Dr Who...........a great time to be a kid!!

  • @rattinox And who could not forget the under the water as well! The "Seaview" with the "Flying Sub"!

  • @visor109 Amen, Brother Visor!

  • Wow cool..i used to watch that show as a kid..liked that spaceship

  • I had the original model as a kid.

  • very cool. I used to love that show.

  • Fantastic work! If I didn't know it I would think it was from the show! Wicked awesome job!!!

  • Lovely job.The two best spacecraft are Spindrift and Jupiter2.

  • it just sits there like a dead thing flickering.such a shame, make it fly dont dump it next 2 a tree.

  • That is coolness

  • Nice Model of the Spin Drift it does stand out. Good thing for the passengers

and crew of Sub Orbital fight 612 LA to London their craft did not crash land

in someone's backyard. However, had the ship 1st crashed into a back yard,

that would explain the boy, who picked up the ship. Then Dan and Steve blast

free not having enough power to get back in flight, crash and the 2nd time

    in the forest.

  • The ship is aerodynamically ridiculous, has no landing gear, would stick out like a beacon in the Giant woods, with its bright orange paint and blinking red lights...And yet it is SO COOL LOOKING that I'm willing to overlook such lapses.

  • land of the giants..tv aint cool no more

  • Ummmm..... I just can't figure out what this thing is. lol What is it?

  • under that tree it's currently a target for bird poo.

  • Well good job on buidling it. I was ready to ask where I can get one like that too, till I read you saying that. Grrrrrrrrr hehe.

  • @MovieManiac33

I have that exact kit, But the kit didn't come with the lights or interior, Those are seperate, My kit is unbuilt and is in its original box, If you want it? Contact me and I'll give you a price.

  • Excellent work!! I wonder how much the oringinal AMT (?) kits are worth now?

  • You did such a sweet job considering how difficult vacuform is to work with!

  • I always thought the front of the ship looked like the face of a Baleen whale. Great model.

  • My friend, that is beyond cool.

  • AMAZING MODEL !!!

  • Very vell done model. The original filming miniature is on display at the Science fiction museum and hall of fame in Seattle Wa. It's amazing how different the actual model's contours are from studio blueprints and avaliable model kits.

  • When you think about it....it could be 1/1scale LOL....I need to get out more....

  • It's very nice!

    Good job!

  • Did you built it or was it an already built one?

  • Yes I built andPaintedit Myself. As well as the Lighting effect.

  • Good job!!!

  • The lighting is nicely done. The slow pulse is a very nice touch. The ship looks great. But that has to be absolutely the most boring episode of Land of the Giants ever.
