  • Does this camera focus?

  • Well, I like this camera. It's cheap, and in HD. I agree, the Flip HD (I have the mino) has better quality, but way to expensive for my budget. The Flip is good for on the go 10 to 30 second videos, but this camera is good for home movies, which I need a camera for. ;D My opinion. (By the way, My Mino broke. -.-)

  • BEAUTIFUL!! how good is the autofocus inside and more up close?

  • can you achieve a tight depth of field with this camera ?

the quality looks great im thinking about getting one

  • is this a camcorder or a camera

  • does it have threads for a fisheye?

  • can you put a fisheye on that camera?

  • i have a question could you put a fisheye on the dgx a80v? need to know, thanks!

  • hey man, im thinking of buying this camcorder. Would you recomend it?

  • yes if ur making youtuve video youll find it hard to find a coverter to mp4 or other

  • For personal videos... yep.

  • i think you might be having some rendering problems, or youtube doesn't like your style

  • how long did this take u to upload?

  • What fps is it running? I think my computer doesn't like this quality as seems laggy

  • Hi! I have the same camera and do u use the software that came with it and how do u get it in full screen?

  • No I don't use the software that came with the video. I edit videos using Adobe Premiere CS3. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "how do you get it in full screen"?

  • its okay I juss dont know how to get it that clear

  • @2000ContourSVT I think that he means to fill the whole YouTube box.

  • Im having the same problem, DXG 581v, or the sony HD Webbie... i cant find the webbie anywhere anymore, its all out. And since the DXG 581v seems to do better than the webbie and cheeper, i cant turn to anything else. But im unsure because this is the first time ive ever heard of DXG, and im unaware of there history. idk if this camrea will have alot of problems or not

  • does it have night vision

  • should i buy this or the sony webbie hd mhs cm1?

i just care about video quality (with good lightning) and sound

  • I'm in the exact same situation. Wasn't sure if I wanted this or the sony webbie hd mhs cm1. This one seems a lot more crisp and it's compatible with my fish eye and other lenses so I think I'm getting this one.

  • Well, besides video quality, you also have to consider the fact that Webbie MHS-CM1's are refurbished, while the DXG 595V's are new

  • Fuck! useless demo.

  • All you need to do to get rid of the muting when you zoom is update the firmware.

  • Why does the sound mute completely when you are zooming in?

  • I think it's because the Noise would be too loud for the video to cope with so it just quietens out while it's moving

  • No it really has to do with the camera he should of returned it and gotten a replacement because when it has a high pitch noise its defective. I've gotten one of those and gotten it replaced and no noise

  • Hmm, really? I've seen other people talking about the same problem in reviews. I really think this would take away from the quality of the video.

  • It's not a problem with the camera. You have to update the firmware of the camera if you want the sound to not mute when zooming. I didn't upgrade the firmware though because the zoom motors are loud and I don't use the camera mic for audio anyway.

  • is this good for skate videos?

  • i eanna know too, i need a camera and they say this is the same as panasonic, JVC etc, just w/o the brand, is it true?

  • looks like a put a filter over the video it looks like a movie meaning it dosnt look live. even if u have a 480p cam u can make it convert it to youtube HD but damn good camera dude !!

  • no llega ni a 720p... malisima calidad

  • YT---->720p only

  • How do u format this camera to come out HD?

  • is there a way that the sound wont cut out when it zooms?

  • firmware update makes it a little better but you can still hear the zoom but it wont mute your sound.

  • ok thanx

  • Where is the firmware update?

  • There's a firmware update available to resolve that issue.

  • There's some major ringing going on.

  • If your framerate is slowing down while watching HD videos, try letting the video load entirely before watching; that usually works for me if you're patient enough.

  • Beleive it or not I am watching this from a sony bravia 48 " and its great. If you want to learn how to run youtube through your tv just pm.

  • youtube should support 720p 1080i and 1080p Hd Uploads.

  • yes, the max resolution that youtube currently supports is 720p. Though as technology advances, youtube is moving closer and closer to supporting much higher resolutions.

  • I don't think youtube allows 1080p, max it will go is 720p? , at least the resolution shown here is only 720 Pixels. Am I right?

  • I did also wonder about that, i tried to upload a video in 1080p, but it didn't seemed to get bigger that 720p.

  • it`s mazing!!!!!!!

  • man something's wrong with my mozilla or something cuz i cant see or push the HQ button for ANY video ( reply to me please and tell me WTF is up with that !! :)

  • (Gromnix)

I think if your internet speed is slow mozilla will block the "HD" button even "HQ"!!

My mozilla block this button too!

use IE instand or Google Chrome.

  • google chrome is definitely a good browser

  • download flashplayer 10

  • A few quick questions, what SD card are you using? Many people such as myself expereince this odd clicking noise with certain sd cards and I dont hear it in this one. Second, how loud is your zoom motor? On mine it sounds very very loud...

    Thanks!

  • quality is amazing, i ordered a webbie hd and cant wait, all im filmin in is 1080p so it should be fine.

  • I am sorry but its just crappy overall. MY FLIP HD does a better job.

    Sorry nothing worth nothing positive.

  • I disagree. Both cameras when zoomed all the way out look pretty much the same however when zoomed in the DXG destroys the Flip HD. Heres the reason why. The Flip HD has no optical zoom. Which means that if you try to zoom in with the 2x digital zoom on the Flip HD it crop's your image which in turn is pixelated and looks horrible where as the DXG that I have has 5x optical zoom meaning that when zoomed the video quality has the same clarity and overall look as if it wasn't zoomed in at all.

  • @Armat64 no need to comment then :)

  • @Armat64 you fuckhead.

  • Uk. Yeah! lol

  • I see no HD button or high

  • I see that the sound drops out when zooming in and out. The picture is quality is good, though.

  • Yeah the sound does cut out when zooming. There is a firmware upgrade though that fixes that but since I record my audio with studio mics and sync up the audio and video the problem doesn't bother me much.

  • What software and interface do you use to sync your audio with the video? Is it hard?

  • I record using a Fast Track Ultra audio interface into Logic Pro for mixing the audio, and then I use Premiere Pro CS3 to sync up the audio and video.

  • I've been really impressed with the performance out of this little camera (595v). Did you run the firmware upgrade? And if so did it make any difference as far as the "in and out" seeking the camera does when it is sitting fixed on a tripod?

  • Yeah the camera is great. I'm very satisfied with the video it takes. I haven't yet ran the firmware upgrade, but from what I've heard the firmware only fixes the the problem with the sound cutting out when you zoom in or out. The seeking it does is from the autofocus.

  • Wow! a video i can actually watch fullscreen on my 42 inch LCD. lol looks good my friend

  • wow 42 whole inches are you serious

  • lol yeh son, my 42 inch lcd, that serves only as a computer monitor. dont get me started on my 120 inch in my theatre room. HD Projector son. You got nothin.

  • Dont try and be cool white boy

  • lol, you must be jealous or somethin. and if your advice to me is dont try and be cool., my advice to you is "TRY to be cool, cuz judging by your channel youre a lame ass mother fucker. Runescape? Seriously? that's as lame as it gets isn't it? Thanks for the compliment in the mean time.

  • In all the HD clips I've seen with this camera the video is choppy. Does it play back like that in the camera, pc, and TV or is it just youtube?

  • It's Youtube's HD. All HD videos on Youtube playback choppy. The actual exported HD video is much smoother.

  • So YouTube do lower the frame rate a little?

  • It's up to the computer speed. YouTube HD playback uses A LOT OF CPU!

  • Dont think so mate i check my CPU usage, and its using 20% of mine. the framerate genrally is crap on you tube lol.

  • Hmm, I put the video I made in 1280x800 resolution, and got it in 3 FPS, but it still doesnt come out in HD.

I think its that I only have MPEG-1 and not 2

  • 1280x720 try this

  • okay

  • Yeah make sure you do it as 1280x720, or 1920x1080 otherwise Youtube wont interpret the video as an HD video.

  • Question- If I upload a 1280x720 video in HD and a 1920x1080 video in HD, which one will look better? (which one will look better when u watch them in HD)

    Thanks! ;)

  • I uploaded this video clip straight from the camera in 1920x1080 and Youtube apparently downsizes it to 1280x720. So they will probably both look pretty close to the same.

  • Woohoo! I bought a DXG camera bout a onth ago, it rocks!

It was only $149.99 at radio Shack

  • holy crap thats amazing quality for under $200

  • Bootifull HD mate!

  • whoa, i love HDD!!!

  • fuck me! that's what I call HD!

  • I can has your camera?

I have a nice 14 mega pixel digital camera that can handle 720p or w.e it is lol

  • The camcorder is actually very affordable. The total was under $200 US. I can send you a link to it if you'd like. I'm really impressed with this camcorder. It's not great in low light but no HD camcorder in this price range is good in low light. All of the outdoor footage I've taken has came out great and in good lighting indoor footage comes out well too. Check out the most recent videos on my other channel here on Youtube called Limitless Studios for some indoor footage with decent lighting.

  • Oh really?

That's not bad at all really..

Yeah I'd like it if you could send me that link please,

I'll go check those vids now.

  • I just sent you the link so you should be getting it soon.

  • could you send me the link mate?

  • You should have a link soon. I just sent it out.

  • ahhh the beautiful skies of Kentucky lol
