Nice review, I didn't find it too difficult to please most of the people eventually. You can always kill off those who revolt, you are the dictator! You can make a ton of money off oil, cigars, rum, etc.

You make good points but I disagree on the following points: 1) Elections - if you can't please the people, then do not hold elections! If you are doing poorly and have a close election, you can always commit vote fraud. Again, technically you'e starting off as a dictator, so do what you have to if you can't be the democracy you want to be. 2) Game shouldn't feel like it's dragging on until you've finishing developing the land or the same eco, social, pol, etc. events repeat with nothing new.

Sounds exactly the same as tropico 1 except for street level zoom and a couple of extras. I really wanted them to nail the rebel - soldier combat.

Also is there a cap on how much you can pay people like soldiers? Coz in the first game you could only pay people a max of 50 coins as a wage... which sucked, eventually your soldiers would turn on you.

@Nacnueed It's very faithful to Tropico 1. It's more like a remake with roads and some tighter and better mechanics. The cap still exists.
