When you reload thers this bar that pops up with a white section in it. If you press the reload button again in the white area you reload quicker and some or most of your ammo recieves a damage bonus but if you press the reload button out of the white area your gun will get jammed for a few seconds. Its kinda a double edged sword.

This is how a team should play Gears. Flanking, cover use, hiding, and if need be Actives. Most freelancers on Gears have this false belief that Active reloads are for noobs and if you don't rush your a noob. These clans know how to play the game.
