Oh I forgot to mention the single player stats for this game really shine. Stealth is the best way to go but you can run and gun and still have a great time it's just gonna be a little more difficult. Also if you remember the nintendo 64 version some of the levels have the same design which is pretty cool. Provides you with a little nostalgia. I have played this version of Goldeneye numerous times. I have also grown up playing Goldeneye N64. In my opinion, The Reloaded version is a very good remake of the classic. Most times, new remakes of old games are a disaster because they try to mix old with new, causing neither aspect to be very good. But I feel that this remake is close to excellent. It doesn't look like N64 Goldeneye,but I think it does capture that spark which caused N64 Goldeneye to be so engaging
Regardless to what kind of graphics it has and the fact that it is only a remake of the game, to everyone comparing it to CoD or saying it copied CoD, please STFU!. This gameback back in the day was so much better than CoD on so many levels for it's time of release. I'm pretty sure this game brings back a lot more nostalgic memories to people than CoD ever will.
@TheDude12345672 Both games are made by Activision. The game mechanics are similar...almost the same. However, the COD series provide a very linear, held by the hand type of gaming experience. Goldeneye Reloaded allows players to make up their own mind about how they're gonna complete their objectives. Which is why I prefer Goldeneye over COD

I enjoy playing the N64 because of the memories and the feeling of jumping back into those old games. @MagGunz, I have to agree with you100%. It was the COD of my younger years. Taught my 2 yr old brother to play because online console gameplay was not available back in my day. So even if its not the N64 version I once knew, I think I should take a little trip back into that world.

Rare originally planned to release the original on XBLA, then Nintendo said no, because they have the rights to it. Then immediately they turn around, and get Activision to make this disgusting garbage, TWO TIMES, and on the second, have it on PS3 & 360. So why did Nintendo bitch about the rights, if it ended up multiplatform anyway? They just wanted to bite Rare up the ass. So a lot of the hate also goes to Nintendo.
This really. The game really has nothing in common with COD, the Wii version was great, I didn't buy it but my mate brought it round once. This is not a skin of james bond with a COD style, yes there are the odd elements, but in the end it still holds that same love for Goldeneye. But you know how the saying goes "haters gonna hate"

I figured since people said it was the same, and they were both made by Activision, it would be COD with a James Bond storyline. It really isn't so I was disappointed. When I continued to play I had an appreciation for it and realized it's not just COD with James Bond in it. It's actually more like Battlefield, in terms of aiming and such.

I remember playing the N64 at a youth center, and when doing matches with friends I'd destroy everyone onscreen(myself included) with proximity mines. I thought it was HIGH-larious but they banned Proximity Mines after that.

What I don't get is why people think this will "take down Call of Duty." Are you thick? This isn't the same game, nor is it the same genre. Bond is "stealth/action," whereas CoD is more squad-based tactics (although most of the people online don't use tactics). Besides, both games are MADE BY THE SAME COMPANY!!! So please, for the sake of all the regular gamers out there, shut up. Thanks.

I loved Goldeneye on N64 played it everyday, Goldeneye on Wii was okay but I hardly play my Wii but now Goldeneye is on Ps3 ! I play Ps3 more than I do Wii so this works for me :)

this and house of the dead extended cut, they are releasing games that were on the wii so they would gain more popularity, its cool ps3 games can now play some goldeneye, and house of the dead overkill, but its too bad they aren't making fresh ideas that might make wii owners buy a ps3, I'll buy a ps3 for vanquish, they should keep releasing titles like that, don't meddle with the wii, don't be hatin sony, we love you, and zelda :D

@randomenvelope I do like Zelda, I think the official Nintendo games are very good, but there are very few. That's why I at the moment I mainly play ps3. The wii has suffered because most of the games are aimed at non gamers. I really hope the next nintendo console has more third party support and aims to get more real gamers interested in them again.

They need to make a Bond game like the good ole ones. Like N64GoldenEye, Nightfire, EoN. Oh and Pierce Brosnan would be great too. The new Bond films/games don't even touch the older ones, although this one does like more promising than Bloodstone or QoS.

Activision makes a lot of great games
for example wolfenstein.(all the wolfenstein games are brilliant)
but they make a big Mistake for making COD. 1 of the worst shooters i have ever play.
Eaven Wolfenstein 3D got better Gamplay than COD.
and about This game. This looks brilliant. really i never play a 007 game bevore but this looks already much better than COD, So if i ever get a PS3 or Xbox i will buy this looks very intresting

Rare originally planned to release the original on XBLA, then Nintendo said no, because they have the rights to it. Then immediately they turn around, and get Activision to make this disgusting garbage, TWO TIMES, and on the second, have it on PS3 & 360. So why did Nintendo bitch about the rights, if it ended up multiplatform anyway? They just wanted to bite Rare up the ass. So a lot of the hate also goes to Nintendo.

This really. The game really has nothing in common with COD, the Wii version was great, I didn't buy it but my mate brought it round once. This is not a skin of james bond with a COD style, yes there are the odd elements, but in the end it still holds that same love for Goldeneye. But you know how the saying goes "haters gonna hate"

@Kibafangover Exactly. I actually bought Goldeneye thinking it was like Call of Duty, and I was actually disappointed. I figured since people said it was the same, and they were both made by Activision, it would be COD with a James Bond storyline. It really isn't so I was disappointed. When I continued to play I had an appreciation for it and realized it's not just COD with James Bond in it. It's actually more like Battlefield, in terms of aiming and such.

I'm a fan two of the goldeneye gameI just hope they have improved on the controls this time round when they used to play on the PS2 and on the PC the controls were not very good and hard to play in get accurate gameplay out of the game but I am a fan of 007 games and I have been waiting for some time for PS3 Slim to come out with a decent 007 game I just hope this one will be crisp to play I'm not sure but I might have pleaded even on the PS one I've had so many consoles I can't keep track
