It's true, Nate does deserve a title shot more than most. That guy is a serious veteran and I think one of the most underrated fighter in the sport. But you can't blame Vitor for taking a fight that was offered to him. Anyone would have done the same thing.
I think it definately would be a great fight but Vitor needs time to train to prepare for Anderson Silva like 4-6months hard training and strategy work. He shouldn't take the fight on short notice as it will not work out for him and it could not him out of ever getting a shot again if he loses.
This fight is so interesting because both of them are so explosive... plus vitor will be the best striker Silva has ever fought in the UFC. But if i was vitor... i'd use my striking and the exchanges to just take silva down and work it out from there.

Agreed. His power and speed actually surpasses Silva's, which is rare. He may not be 'as' accurate, but he is still accurate. He never really reached his full potential years back when he fought, because of personal issues. But now he is focused, he should be even more dangerous.. and more consistent. Silva has yet to face such a dangerous striker in the octagon, he has face dangerous opponents, but Vitors striking is above and beyond anyone Silva has faced IMO.

It would make the most sense for Silva to fight at HW if he ever wanted to fight Fedor which i doubt will ever happen!

Wow lol i didn't know Silva walked around at that much!! he's fat then because he's not muscle at all i never seen him K.O anyone in my life, man he's fat lol i'm 6'5 227 and i'm way bigger and i'm not fat at all. yeah dropping weight isn't as good as people think a lot of people say Evans should drop, i say nope i wrestle and i know what it's like feeling weak lol, yeah Gegard and Silva at LHW and Fedor and Silva at HW.

yeah strikeforce is super mediocre i agree, but lesnar needs more fights IMO , i think he could dominate fedor but if he even attempts to try to stand he's donzo! i like both as far as talent goes lesnar is a physical specimen, but athleticism can only take you so far, he's really going to have to improve alot of things to be the best because, theres good wrestler that are coming in that are as strong as him and what then. .. much respect..

yh i did the 1st tym i wacthed the fight i watched it widout sound and i thought shougun won. then i watched the 1st 3 rounds nd ina very close manor machida was jus about counterin every leg kick but dam those kicks were nasty. if there was 1 more round shogun would hav ko'd machida. and alot of people 4get the grapplin shogun culdnt take machida dwn so machida won the grapplin side of the fight

It's true, Nate does deserve a title shot more than most. That guy is a serious veteran and I think one of the most underrated fighter in the sport. But you can't blame Vitor for taking a fight that was offered to him. Anyone would have done the same thing.

I think it definately would be a great fight but Vitor needs time to train to prepare for Anderson Silva like 4-6months hard training and strategy work. He shouldn't take the fight on short notice as it will not work out for him and it could not him out of ever getting a shot again if he loses.

This fight is so interesting because both of them are so explosive... plus vitor will be the best striker Silva has ever fought in the UFC. But if i was vitor... i'd use my striking and the exchanges to just take silva down and work it out from there.

Well, if someone IS going to beat Anderson, it will be Vitor. I love Nate, but Anderson will go bezerk on him. It will be hard to watch, if it happens again. Nate is definitely next in line. He and Vitor should be fighting instead of Nate fighting Sonnen, but so it goes....

maybe so...but i believe Silva is going to lose his title to either Nate or Vitor. Silva pound for pound is the best fighter in the world right now. I will never dispute that, he's proved it time over. I just think noone is ever invincible. There comes a day when everyone gets humbled in the sport of MMA, it doesnt matter who you are. Whoever Anderson Silva fights next, whether its Nate or Vitor, either one will beat him. Mark my words.

i did see the Silva / Griffin fight. Ive never been a Griffin fan, in fact believed like many he is overrated. Yes he got killed by Silva and im never gonna dispute the fact, how good Sliva is because he's the best. I just think he's gonna lose one day and the 2 fighters to give him that right now are either Nate or Vitor. I think Nate is a better fighter now than he was the 1st time he lost to Anderson. Whatever happens bro, its gonna be awesome whoever fights Silva.

I think the only reason Vitor is getting the title shot is because Anderson has already fought and beaten Hendo and Nate. Hendo is set to leave the UFC anywayz since Dana cant match what Hendo wants Salary wise so now its between Vitor and Nate so Vitor and Nate should fight for number 1 contender spot. Vitor has never fought at 185 in the UFC so he should reserve the right to challenge Anderson first.

Agreed. His power and speed actually surpasses Silva's, which is rare. He may not be 'as' accurate, but he is still accurate. He never really reached his full potential years back when he fought, because of personal issues. But now he is focused, he should be even more dangerous.. and more consistent. Silva has yet to face such a dangerous striker in the octagon, he has face dangerous opponents, but Vitors striking is above and beyond anyone Silva has faced IMO.
