@ridethatslapthat I'm not leb but don't underestimate this Toyota TwinCam. They are seriously fun cars to drive. Their acceleration say.. from a traffic light is blitz fast from low torque. Good car for P-platers. But yeah.. i understand where you are coming from, there are "better cars". lol.

I also own a 87 fx16. i have played with many 4age motors but this is my first experience with the 4age in a FWD setup it's different but faster then the RWD's. the 4age does NOT have a lot of torque tho... who ever is thinking that is miss informed or there 4age is tuned differently and modified.

My first Corolla GT was the black one ERU which is one of the well know Twin Cams in Birmingham, i had that when i was 15 im 23 now. These cars are fast but it depends on the driver they have a lot of torque. I owned loads of these Corollas CJT the blue one was my 3rd Corolla.Really quick off the mark, Ive bough one recently so if any one wants to line up their Civics or anything else let me know. I do regret selling my old corollas but im back with a fresh one fully race prepped.

The AE86 was RWD. Looked a hell of a lot better and had perfect balance. Mine is an SR-5 unfortunately but it corners better than anything else I've driven even with the softer suspension. And I've driven quite a few different cars.

AE Corollas do NOT have perfect weight distribution.

Power does matter, but not to the extent it does in RWD cars. Would this car still be fast with a 50hp motor? No.

Properly set up, an AE82 corolla can outpace many other decent cars. For example, the AE82 TRD Corolla that ran at Bathurst was consistently 19mph faster than the then current V8 Supercars at the end of Conrod Straight.
