  • help!!!i have a caliper piston that is really stuborn and want budge could you help?

  • you can just use a flathead screw driver and push the piston in using leverage

  • Hi this John and and the un-dead. After I change this brake pad,I'm going to eat my co-worker's brains.

  • good

  • as soon as i saw that this was an expert village video i hit i hit 'back'

  • Thanks for the video man off to do some brake work now lol

    '

  • If you put the c-clamp on the edge of the piston, you run the real risk of binding the piston in the housing and causing it to freeze up. You should always use a professional tool, or the old brake pad with the c-clamp. This is just scary

  • !!!!!G!!!!!! clamp OMG

  • looks like young jim carrey!! haha lol i thought it was for bikes...

  • there is a proper and safer tool for the job , i built my own but you can by them , and you wont risk damage to the piston or the seal..

  • Does anyone else reckon this guy was in dumb and dumber?

  • what if the piston is rusted because the car was parked a long time and the pads were worn out....how can i insert that piston back?

  • Wow, these videos have very little useful information, but they do have zombies in lab coats!

  • When pushing the caliper piston in you shouldnt directly put the c clamp on the piston instead use the old brake pad as a solid surface to secure the c clamp as this will save any harm done to the caliper piston.

  • I followed this video on my sisters car and she crashed and died........ thnx xpert village.

  • Right!!!..........................

  • I fucked your retarded sister!

  • @alexskylarking I fucked your retarted mother and 9 months later you came along.

  • oooohhh big boy!!! somebody can't take a joke!!! kid you haven't even got pubes yet let alone sperm!

    ......... thnx yfm4450

  • @alexskylarking U fail......

  • You Failed Way before me!

  • Liar.

  • ...Liar, pants on fire

  • @yfm4450 well that's what you get you cheap bastard the bitch was ugly any way

  • @JG0en187 What u talkin about, you are my sister.

  • @yfm4450 dont front you know we don't claim your retarded ass out in public

  • You just did faggot.

  • that is not a good idea to use a c clap

  • I do not think so either. So, is it better to disconnect the calliper form the hydraulic system and reset the piston?

  • It's Easy, Anyone can do it!

  • when putting the calipers back on how much do the bolts need to be tightened?

  • I usually just crack open the top of my master cylinder, you're only forcing a tiny bit of brake fluid into the system, so there's usually no spillage. Oh, and quick tip, I usually don't put the C clamp right on the piston, I usually take one of the old brake pads and put that between the piston and the clamp. This prevents any damage to the piston by spreading the pressure evenly on the piston.

  • Good idea thanks for the info

  • good idea

  • @nightmathzombieethan Exactly!! I was wondering if I do it like the guy in the video, what would happen if the clamp slips, etc and damages the caliper piston. Good idea about putting the old bake pad and use it against the caliper piston.

  • @GUALLACOL Thanks! :-)

  • @nightmathzombieethan "This prevents any damage to the piston by spreading the pressure evenly on the piston."

Nah, there's no chance of that happening when the piston is more than halfway into the cylinder.

I always do it using a big pair of channel locks, it takes 2 seconds!

  • You need to open the bleeder screw to let the fluid out instead of pushing it back into the master cylinder, you can damage it by pushing fluid backwards through the brake system.

  • shut up and watch loser......why are you watching if you already know smart ass?????

  • So crazies like u dont blow out your master cylinder, But i guess you are right I,m kind of trying to put myself out of business, so go ahead cram that old fluid into the master.

  • go ahead man show your stuff! skills chicks digg guys with skills

  • thats cool

  • really helpful videos.

    Thanks.

  • When your adjusting the caliper, do you leave the reservoir cap open or just keep it on? They told me that the fluid absorbs oxygen, which is bad.

  • Buddy told me to leave it on but don't screw it on so it will just rest on. You screw it on later
