There is more to this story and video. The rest of the video shows that Joe did take the gun but ran into the cornfield. He never pointed the gun at the police officers. All 5 shots hit him in the back. Joe lived with one of the police officer's brothers so they knew he was not a "dangerous criminal". That officer also had been accused of excessive force twice before. Joe used meth but he did not sell it. The only person he was hurting was himself and now his family without him.

Wow 12 shots close range only 5 hits. Not saying i could do better but damn the cops always say you shouldnt just pop off rounds or you might hit civilains.
With adrenalin and stress, you are lucky to be able to maintain 50% of your accuracy you have on the worst day at the range. Add to that the fact that you are shooting a moving target, and I would say 5/12 isn't bad at all. Also, they were in a corn field, not Times Square on new years.

There is more to this story and video. The rest of the video shows that Joe did take the gun but ran into the cornfield. He never pointed the gun at the police officers. All 5 shots hit him in the back. Joe lived with one of the police officer's brothers so they knew he was not a "dangerous criminal". That officer also had been accused of excessive force twice before. Joe used meth but he did not sell it. The only person he was hurting was himself and now his family without him.

With adrenalin and stress, you are lucky to be able to maintain 50% of your accuracy you have on the worst day at the range. Add to that the fact that you are shooting a moving target, and I would say 5/12 isn't bad at all. Also, they were in a corn field, not Times Square on new years.
