  • For real...... this video and song is great, to say the least. Roots M is totally understandable

and can annunciate better than most rappers. Sometimes I love myself and hate myself,

and yes you know, I'm cold, too old, and it shows, and ya know......... FOR REAL~

  • Love this song -- funnier than all get out.

  • Getting up baby!

  • montagues and capulets

  • hahaha, shameless!!!!

  • On most youtube songs, i just click the song and let it play in the background whilst on Facebook etc, but i specifically find the video to Roots Manuvas songs and watch them, they are actually so good, along with the songs.

  • the brunette girl is orlando bloom's sister

  • Im naming my some 'Roots' as a dedication (:

  • I dont like rap music but this guy is something different. Great song by the way

  • roots is the spitting image of hendrix

  • Oh hi Mac (green wing) Love this song

  • im to to cold brappp

  • I like how historically acurate he made this track,

not many people know that Lord Manuvals' baby left him 'cause he wouldn't buy her new shoes man.

  • @CReadiusPro Little known fact.

  • We win or lose man

Don't ask me for a twos man

    Buy your own fags man

    Mind you get stabbed man

Don't you see that we some big broad bad man

Born and bred in this big bored bad land

Known all over the world as a mad man

Life is hard but it's just too bad man

  • root's manuva is the best mc from uk with jehst

  • @zazzalien so true :)

  • @zazzalien - Phi-Life man :)

  • @OBLIVIOUSavior

give the states some credit. i'm american and i listen to roots. sure there are some idiots out there still listening to shit rap, but that's a generalization

  • @carouselambra7

I love the roots, black thought= genius

  • the best! I love roots manuva, they ´re simply genious :)

  • Genius, refreshing to have a unique talent in the UK.......not following fashion or fads just some interesting music! Probably always will border on the underground scene , which isnt a bad thing....

  • tooo coooooooooold

  • It does my nut in that Dizzee is so huge. He doesn't even come fourth in the Q polish Rodney's boots.

  • ey man , you know man , i dont MAN , BADMAN , BATMAN , anyother MAN in here ?

  • luv Roots Manuva...respect from poland

  • i love this video shame its outta sync

  • j'aime beaucoup. ça claque

  • they say i sound like this guy ...

  • @ryanjmccormack "they're" talkin' shit

  • anyone else notice that Manuva's butler is also Tom from Harry Potter 3??

  • @VNGkoji Yes it is. It's Jim Tavare.

  • marrant ce clip

  • This tune is still man.

If you love UK rap i recommend H.A.S

H.A.S - The world keeps spinning

    Effin sick tune!!!!

  • There are plenty of real rappers left in the U.S. What you see on your TV does not represent all that exists.

  • a love this guys stuff!!

  • id say hes better than all of them lol - i mean eminem, the game they are americas top dogs and they have no talent - they are just madeup by the record companys. Roots i real and raw - trully powerfull, those in ameria and the non h hop rappers here arejust pathetic.

  • racism! Americans are people too you know. They're not all George Bush

  • Roots M is better than three quarters of the American rappers and he's not even known in the States.

    total shame.

  • to true man

  • @OBLIVIOUSavior He's not widely known in the UK either by the mass media.

  • @OBLIVIOUSavior Maybe it's the way to be excellent. Not to be to popular..

  • @kurwajebana2 yeah u know but not really true for his new stuff tho

  • @kurwajebana2 Gotta watch the quiet ones! .. or listen to ..

  • @tommason1984 What do You mean? I know ALL his tracks and I like 'em all

  • @kurwajebana2

are you not familiar with the phrase 'you have to watch the quiet ones' ??

  • @tommason1984 sorry man, I'm not, english isn't my native lang. big up.

  • @tommason1984 however when i heard this guy in late nineties i knew this is it, there were some jerks like nana that days so you know, roots manuva made me believe that rap is not dead yet, and things like 'the black whole styles'... hmm f*^k 50 cent

  • @kurwajebana2 Say for example you had 3 people, the quietest one could be the most talented and underestimated, when it would appear to be the other 2 loud (mainstream) people eg. 50 cent, someone that is out there in the limelight.

But anyway.. Roots Manuva i think is the most talented UK hip hop artist. fo sho

  • @OBLIVIOUSavior the majority of good american rappers aren't even well known in america, because all the good shit is underground. the media and record industry is a fucking joke!

  • @VierNulAcht

Shit sells, but you're missing the point. Cats like RM are rocking the radio waves in the Europe because the public is not as brainwashed compared to USA. Americans are so whack, man.

  • @theydkm you aren't telling me anything new. Corporations rule everything over here and apparently they control your train of thought on america too! I'm not talking about shit that sells. I'm talking about good music. The reason why he's big on the radio over there is becuase the system is not as fucked up over there. almost NOTHING good is ever on the radio over here that's why I said it's underground. read b4 u talk shit. america made hip hop! and the word whack. who's whack now

  • @OBLIVIOUSavior

Americans are too lazy to take a careful listen, which RM music requires. Their loss.

  • @OBLIVIOUSavior I know em and I be a yank, mang.

  • @OBLIVIOUSavior 1. i know him.

    2. i kinda agree with you. but there a few good ones if you look hard enough and get into it more.

  • @OBLIVIOUSavior

    1. Not everyone can understand his accent.

    2. His beats are "eh" with the exception of "Well, Well, Well"

    3. When has he ever featured with an American rapper?

I admit though, I have bought and downloaded his albums...I like his stuff and believe he is great. But unless he is intro'd to the US scene by an American rapper, its hard to crack this market....especially when he's another Black rapper with Whites buying most of the music.

  • @HaloedG He features with Charli 2na all the time.

  • @OBLIVIOUSavior

it's true, and I'm American. The thing is, if you want GOOD American rap, you have to go "underground"

  • @OBLIVIOUSavior I just said today this dude saved hiphop for me back in the late 90's and im an american. that said three quarters in too low.

  • @OBLIVIOUSavior yeah i stumbled on him by complete accident and no one i know as ever heard of him

  • @OBLIVIOUSavior I'm English and I love Roots Manuva but there are so many great American MC's you just got to look around e.g Cage, R.A the Rugged Man, 2Mex Camu Tao, El P, Aesrop Rock and Blockhead (Beats). Rap is by no means dead and the American underground scene as well as RM are helping to prove that. Count yourself lucky you live in a country so rich in musical diversity

  • @OBLIVIOUSavior It's not a shame dude. There are many fools.. Diamonds are forever and you cant find them on the surface.. You have to dig deep. Most people cant go that deep.

  • one of does hows had some big ass tata's

  • I want one of them little wheel chairs (oh and someone to push it for me)

Big up the song anyhow, you gotta love roots M

    Peace

  • big up!

  • nah matye its grime-dubstep-gabba-pop-funky-break-wonkyness

    get with it

  • sometimes i hate myself

    sometimes i love myself

    ....

  • Mr Mahuda!!!!

    King of the UK.

    Genius!

  • @TONYNASRI ino its a shame :/ i just found out about him today.

  • Love this man - Roots Manuva - sick xx

  • rbg.....blllllllllllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaappp

  • dark haired girl is Orlando Bloom's older sister

  • then colenal thing at the starts on most porn i see sorry but its true :P

  • Grime is shit, its piss poor. UK Hip Hop is lacking in the depth of quality the US has but UK has some nice hip hop like Rhyme Asylum, Klashnekoff, Phi Life Cypher, Stig, Foreign Beggars etc... but most is trash. US hip hop>>>>>UK hip hop. Either way, anyone who thinks grime is good, must be deaf or stupid, or both.

  • roots isn't classed as grime, according to critics and in my opinion. If he was then oh my godd :O the only grime guy i like lol

  • Roots Manuva just sounds like straight up good hip hop. He doesn't sound like grime at all.

  • I didn't say Roots Manuva was grime, I was replying to a faggot claiming Grime was better than Hip Hop.

  • I'm a big fan of the US non-mainstream stuff, but Roots Manuva, Sway, and Oxide&Neutrino top my UK favs.

  • true story

  • naaaa grime is okay, what grime artists hae u listened to?

  • Roots Manuva's a genius. He's not really strifctly a rap act though is he? There's dubby, reggae, ragga, etc aspects to his act.

  • yeah and what does he mainly do sing? no he's a rapper get over it!

  • Ooh! Julian Rhind-Tutt!

  • there is a lot of good U.S. rap out there you just need to find it... anything on T.V. is trash... but a lot of good underground

  • 04prep, true that :) you sound alright just by saying that.

  • not all north american rap is agrabge theres alott atight shit out there still, jay electronica and cunninlynguists r keepin hip hop alive in the south, tonnes of talent in the new york and boston area, decent stuff from chicago, toronto is comin out with new stuff too, i like the streets n rotos manuva but havnet heard much more uk rap

  • the streets are a par, Roots Manuva is sick. listen to grime. Skepta, Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, Kano etc. Also UK hip hop like foreign beggars, not grime but sick

  • Grime has lost it's way, also Dizzee ain't done grime for years.

  • Dr Syntax is a must! Can't forget Kano or the Album Countryman by DJ Skitz! that album is classic!

  • Sway is giving uk-hiphop a bad name

  • awesome

  • I don't like rap music. I have never liked rap music, but, i think i might have changed my mind...

  • More like opened your mind. Roots will do that to you.,,

  • @mallyJones298 You've been missing out big time you poor fool

  • quality. dudes lives in london in flat doing great music ,I ve seen on the creebs ,it's not like rapers from america bling bling fuckt the hell no! it's great fucking proper !peace!

  • boom shaka boom shaka boom shaka just too cold

  • wtf did roots say at the end? i cant understand him

  • Man, that's what me is (maybe)

  • masonic!

  • Am I the only one who noticed Julian Rhind-Tutt looking rather uncomfortable there?

  • I think that was the point.

  • Yeah I get that, but it's JULIAN RHIND-TUTT.

  • ohh maan fuck this:D:D... here are 2 vids of too cold, one is without sound and in the second one the sound is moved forward or backward dont know..:D..

  • hey, have you seen that the Roots Manuva gig is being recorded at Shepherds Bush 18th October - bonus for me as not able to go, found them on concertlive. co. uk - think you can get them at the gig too - bonus! wot u guys think?

  • No Scratchin'? i was waiting 4 it. oh well, great track! never gets old.

  • Cant knock dizzee for money makin'. . . he deserves everything he has worked so hard for!

As for Rodney Smith he's a real pro. . .

Totally gutted i lost out on tickets for his norwich show!!!

  • mmm, nice chesticles!

  • thank ya i got it from boondocks

  • Julian is fucking sexy.

  • song about schizophrenia

    absoloutely beautiful

  • can't compare dizzy to roots man, they both great in there own right. don't hate on diz for gettin paid you'd do the same bitch.

  • maaaaan, fantastic, rapping! riddim, riddim!

  • Nice girls..^^

  • sometimes i hate myself...

    big laik chewaka!

    nice video!!!!

  • This video looks mid-nineties, i think he got his video idea off of Tasmin Archer!

    lol

  • classy vid..i like it alot

  • JULIAN, I THOUGHT YOU WERE A REAL MAN. Don't run away. =[

  • oh yeah, and Dizzee Rascal is another dope UK emcee.

  • dizzee rascal is good, but he aint respected here in LDN cos he sold out grime for indie, and now hes making big money, at the expense of his music. He lost a lot of respect.

  • really? i had no clue. that's kind of how a lot of US rappers are (Fat Joe, Snoop, Mobb Deep, etc.). can you lead me to some of his music that is respected?

  • All the music that he made before he got big, so bascally his first 2 albums, 'Boy in da Corner' and 'Showtime'. Boy in the corner has better music, but because showtime has more of a mixtape feel to it, its regarded as better by londoners. Tunes to look up (if you havent heard them already) 'Jus a Rascal', 'Fix up look sharp', and when i remember the names of the others, ill post back here.

  • thanks.

  • isn't the first one Dizzee Rascal?

  • Nah, i think its jus a rascal. Thats what its called in my itunes anyways, lol.

Try 'i luv u', 'Stand up tall', 'Dream', 'Jezebel', 'Graftin' and 'Face'. Some of them are better for lyrics, like jezebel. others are just pure jamz.

Some of them will be hard to find if you dont have some kinda illegal downloader.

  • make that both of them.

  • my bad. im an idiot.

  • bullshit! grime scenes full of fools mekin trouble. gettin dance shut down and shit. let dizzee mek his money you fool. why u think wiley fucked off?

  • great tune, and bizarre cameo by mac off of green wing!

  • why is this guy not more popular? he rocks!

  • This was funny

  • He's best song.I love his music!!

  • there's a saying "Hiphop is not on the Radio" it's true. It's underground, and in the UK. Roots manuva is one of the best, up there with MF Doom, Eyedea, Dead Prez and so on.

  • he's not any MF Doom bro, but i see where you are coming from. he's definitely fucking ill. Slick Rick is also from London BTW.

  • I've never heard this dude before. HOLY COW this is really good. You just get used to hearing really bad hip hop all the time. Skilled rappers are so rare it seems, this guy lays it down. I'm diggin' it.

  • its not fucking synchronize

  • omg orlando's sister! gr8 vid!

  • wow. the beginning sounds like a messed up version of the actual pirates soundtrack

  • yeah she looks like him eheheh great video

  • Yeah exactly. It stunning that she got the same cheek bones xD.

Lovely looking person though, Orlando must be proud of her ^^

  • The brunette woman starring in this vid is Samantha Bloom...the older sister of PotC-star Orlando Bloom.

The music is not my cup of tea anyway.

  • My baby left cos i wouldnt buy new shoes man

Life is hard but its just too baddd man

  • haha mac from green wing!! This is such a good video

  • im too cold

  • "travel over ocean, land and sea. face much stress and difficulty" - witness the fitness, Roots manuva

  • rodrick manuva!

  • For Cool T-Shirts, Vests & Hoodies click on my name and you can find the address on my page, alternatively click on any of my vids and you'll find it there too.

  • just another nice manuva track

  • Omarion has a song with the hook ..I'm too cold...

  • Very cool.

  • Comedian Jim Tavare is great in this video.

  • proper sick but it takes an age to load u know wot i meen bruv

  • Absolutely love this guys style. He is unique.

  • julian rhind-tutt looking hot as ever

  • No, the audio is a few seconds off. Too bad, great video otherwise...

  • wicked video, it's a shame the audio's out of sync, might just be me tho.
