  • OK ladies, I am officially JEALOUS!

All over YouTube, ExpertVillage has vids for every damn type of craft...but all they are is ads for stuff, tools and whatever for the craft...not one "how-to". Not one.

All kinds of folk screamin' about Expert Village spamming for their stores, and swearing about how they should be taken off.

Then I'm looking at hair braiding, and here's an actual How-To video from ExpertVillage.

Good Heavens. I may never recover from the shock!

  • "yes... yes she does... now... how can one be perfect now with out goining through a fase that they wonoudltn have gone through in the first place. im glad some one got to feel like me for 15 secgonfs in life.... " but any ways.

  • Your video is very very good....The other video

    (I don't wanna say no names)Are a little ghetto.

Please keep up the great work on your videos.

  • actually goddess braids can be really cute

  • Mekhat opened her own salon specializing in natural hair including locks and various braiding techniques. Her decision helped set a trend that can be seen through out St. Louis. As the owner of the signature Napps hair salon, Mekhat has used her knowledge of culture to emphasize on the critical importance of individuality and maintaining healthy hair. Her 18-year quest to detangle the myths of Good Hair has finally become a topic that mainstream America is beginning to understand.

  • @sadistic2873 it IS a french braid, but its bigger to give a majestic effect as if you were a "goddess" hence the name "goddess braid". Google the term "goddess braids" to see some finished looks.

  • idk its str8

  • Like the video! This was easier than SaBrina's but hers looked a little better. Wish I could have seen the finished product!!!

  • nothing wrong with that technique if yoyure a beginner or if its easy. as long as the desired look is acheived

  • I personally do not like her technique. The hair color isnt uniform and it look like a amateur did it. I would suggest she continue practicing.

  • its not beautiful plus she holding too much hair.back home if they do this for you, pipo look at ur head everywhere u go, they do it so beautiful.

  • I've seen a technique where instead of braiding hair around the synthetic hair, you just take a little of the synthetic hair, fold it over the larger bundle of synthetic hair and grab a small section in the front and proceed to braid like shown. I like it better because the color is more uniform throughout the braid.

  • Great instruction!

    Thanks for the video.

  • I lik the Goddess Braid how much does that usually cost get done???

  • like 30 bucks...just but two packs of the cheap braiding hair dependingon how big youwant them to be..i did 5 in my hair with one pack

  • non ma soeur c'est pas comme ça

  • thats pretty i like it

  • this is good ♥

  • Damn deleoa 471 is a dude.... And his hair is fucking long !!!

  • @thesmalltowndreamer She luks lika a MONKEY!

  • @thesmalltowndreamer she luks scared

  • deleoa471, you are dumb get the fuck off here! what the point of saying that. this is a how to video not who has the longest hair. Go read a book you need some knowledge!!!

  • Thank you so much, for this video. I could not figure out how to start the goddess braid with added hair until now.

  • i have looked at al the videos u have made and learned alot. so many people didn't want 2 share this info. thank u. i've been braiding for 8 years and can relate to lots of the things u mentioned, it makes so much sence, i jus never been shown what i wanted 2 know. thanks love 2 c more!

  • I guess I've been doing an inverted french braid this whole time and didn't know it... so you have to kinda braid UNDER to make the braid kinda pump up...or it will be flat..

  • That's helpful. I love Goddess braids. This girl's lucky cause she has thick hair, I have thin hair =( lol. I love the highlights effect that the human hair adds. Beautiful

  • Its used mostly for those with very short hair in Nigeria or for a gurl who has just started to plait her hair. Advantage is that its not painful at all

  • this is known as 'didi' in yoruba land Nigeria. She is really good at it but she need not add that much neways cos of d weight.

  • your preety

  • I can cornroll, but I cant do it backwards, thats wierd.

  • ohh thanx that was reeli helpful xoxo

  • I really appreciate this tutorial (very informative). I would love to the two strand flat twist on my daughter.

  • I LIKE DA GODDESS BRAid & the twist

  • I finally know how to do a Goddess Braid, thank to you!!!

  • I am so glad that somebody took the time to make this video. I been trying to do this braid for so long, now I know---Thank you

  • ouch! O_o

    it looks kinda....... painful O_O

  • braids usually are so that they can stay in the hair longer than a week. It should loosen up in days. This way there is no money lost.

  • FALSE! A braiding style SHOULD NOT be painful; pain means too much tension is being placed on the roots, which can be damaging to the hair and scalp. Wear a scarf or bonnet while sleeping will help the braids stay up for up to one week.

  • thanks for schooling me.

  • No, that is not true. I have been braiding for 25+ years and your braids are NOT supposed to be tight...not at all!!

  • i dont like that why didnt you put the weave closer to the scalp?

  • I would like to know if you can show how you would do a French Braid while adding hair.
