My true love, Leslie played this the first time we made love. I was a short track groupy. This is for you Leslie(Stretch). BTW......my team was 1st place at Daytona 1979 Rusty Gorley rider.
@0910ce Thats what i thought. A1 ring was the first F1 race i went to back in 2001 :) I wonder if the old parts of the track was never removed the track would still be around and the GP race on the calendar. Personally i think it would have a good chance.
@biowax it's a shame they kill the old tracks like that. the osterreichring was a beautiful track like the old spa and old hockenheimring but car park-esc run-off areas and flat deserts for the scenary are the order of the day...
0:31 Oh! The old scuffle at La Source in Spa-Francochamps! From the old days to nowadays. Something is always going to happen at the start in La Source. If you doubt, then ask Bruno Senna!
@lucarioguy111 Worst thing of all is, actually, Ferrari had to change the number of its F150th Italia. The reason: Ford threatened to sue, because they percieved it would confuse with their F150 trucks!
Which kind of dumb could confuse a Formula One Ferrari with a 2 ton, 6 meter truck?
Senna is a Legend...But my Idol is Emerson Fittipaldi!! and the guys of 70's era. Ronnie Peterson, Jackie Stewart, François Cevert, James Hunt, John Watson, Niki Lauda, Jochen Rindt and others.
Not only is Sir Jackie Stewart George's Chauffer, but I think there are two additional close ups of him at 1:42 ("faster than a bullet from a gun") and 1:52 ("faster than the blink of an eye"); as well as shots of a whole host of motor racing "greats".
@DIMBOD2- you are correct, and the line about being 'faster than a bullet from a gun' was a nod to the fact that before getting into motor racing, Stewart had an exemplary career as a competitive marksman.
At 2:03 the chauffeur is Jackie Stewart the Scottish formula one driver that worked for ABC on retirement.
The song is about him.
This is great.
I remember Stewart taking Jim McKay of Wide World of Sport for a ride and saying, "Feel the sway of the car McKay, that's the true thrill of Grand Prix racing."
I'm only 15 and, was watch F1, and scrolling through my music, after just buying the album 'Geroge Harrison', and played this. I was blown away, and thought to myself 'Is there a video for it?'.
George loved gardening, Formula One motor racing and Monty Python. 'Faster' was his tribute to his love of motor racing and he was regularly seen on the F1 Circuit.

It was also "in memory of Ronnie Peterson" who tragically died shortly before at Monza. He's still a star here in Sweden.

@argentaperra Ronnie is a idol in brazil too. He was very emerson's friend....
Peterson was the first "go kart driver" in Formula 1.

This song was written for George's appreciation of both Jackie Stewart, and what Nikki Lauder went through back in 1976.

LOL - Jackie Stewart is George's Chauffer. I know one of George's favorite cars was his Ferrari 400.

I've been looking for this for years.
This is great.
I was working in Miami Beach in the summer of 1979 and this was a real fav.
Everyone loved it and yet it disappeared.
Much under-rated.
This is great!!!
