  • I have a 40ft MCI9 bus conversion, waaay better then a cheese wagon. You can just live with me PEACE!

  • I am wishing you the best with fulfilling your blue bus dreams my friend,I think it is a fantastic dream, use the force

    Namaste

  • Well I hope you haven't let go of your Bus dream. I live in a camper and its amazing, its so peaceful. And don't let anyone tell you its stupid, they only say its stupid cause they want to do the same. Im free from debt. I pay no rent, I pay no electric. All I do is travel with friends and work and save my money to one day buy property to live on for the rest of my days. Simple dreams are some of the most powerful.

  • She should do porn. That would raise the money a lot quicker.

  • haha! thats just great. i want to live in a bus too!! youre kooky, but in a good way. thanks for the video.

  • simply beautiful...,,,,,,the bus is nice 2 LOL XXX

  • You're hawt... but anyway I to desire to live a simple life but my plan is living in an earthen home in the woods. Already working on making it happen. I love being in nature and hate that I must live in an apartment. Good luck and best of wishes.

  • hi good dreams. ive lived on busses most of my life they make good homes party house. good laugh to drive too

  • I used to fix school buses for a living and I think your dream has a lot of challenges to it. School buses break all the time and many of the things that break are probably beyond your skill to fix. Then you'll be stuck in the middle of nowhere. And those things are ice boxes in the winter. The floor is just a sheet of plywood with no insulation. The walls are sheet aluminum with a bit of insulation, and a steel support structure which will conduct your heat out to the world in no time.

  • 2. In the summer they are like prison hot boxes. Most of them don't have air conditioning. And any bus you're likely to afford will be a rattle trap that's just months away from a breakdown. They attract attention from police who will inspect and impound your bus if there are any safety issues.

A better idea would be a travel trailer and an older pickup truck to pull it. They're cheaper to fix, better on fuel (especially if it's diesel). School buses get about 3 miles per gallon.

    Don't do it!

  • @vention4wh If you buy a good bus, it will have air con and be in good nick.

  • @calumROBLOX

She mentioned the price of 3600. If she buys a bus for 3600 it will be a pile of junk with no air conditioning and will break down at the worst times. An insane amount of work will need to be done to it before it can be lived in.

If however she ditches that dream and goes with an old 5th wheel trailer and a pickup truck to pull it, it will be ready to live in right away and the price will be about the same.

  • @vention4wh Either that, or buying a better bus?

  • @calumROBLOX

A better bus would cost more than 3600.

I just did a craigs list search and found an awesome little 5th wheel trailer that's all setup to live in for 4700. With further searches it's likely that one could be found for 3600 and it would be a heck of a lot more comfortable to live in than a school bus.

Now that I have my condo paid off, I'm saving up for about 10 acres of rural real estate. I might pickup a 5th wheel as well. I already have a truck to pull it with.

  • @vention4wh If I can find a coach for 5 grand, I'm sure a bus wouldn't be too hard.

  • have you done it yet, i got money and i want in!!

  • i love your dream.........i have always wanted to live n an fv so i am still going to.....i will send u 22 dollars soon so just keep an eye out.....

  • Why don't you build a celtic roundhouse? Have a nice weather proof wall around it with a thatched roof. Have your fire pit in the center, or get an old wood stove with a smoke stack. It'd be a lot warmer than a tipi.

  • i love you lyrialzander!!!!!!! im am 13 and have no money but i support you!

  • This is my dream as well from 1 girl to another I definatelly want to talk to you about your project.

  • Its possible. but as for finding an selling shiny rocks an things. Id say that a MAJOR flaw in your plan as there are almost no hippie types to buy them.

  • @nappyted Why didn't you just move where it's not so cold? Also try a catalytic heater the ceramic kind. I trade the service security gaurd on construction, or storage sites.

  • She needs s smoother camera with all that recording their going to be doing.

  • I like it . I want to do something very simular myself.

  • wonderful

i have been living in buses trucks etc for over 20 odd years and would never go back to houses

    peace and light

  • I love you. i want to leave this stupid world behind and help you with your bus project. Hell i owned one for a while, bought it for ony 500 bucks.

  • Well, here it is almost 3 years later, how far along are your plans? How did that work out, getting people to buy your glass jars and stuff or make paypal donations? Just think, if you hustled at waitressing, home-errands like cleaning, cooking, laundry and yardwork for elder people in exchange for room and board while you work a daily job or a couple part-time jobs, house painting, clerking or whatever, you could have saved $10K in no time, bought your bus & fixed it up, be using it already.

  • No gonephishin, she hasnt abandoned the dream, whats actually happened in the past year since she commented was, she got a job on a mushroom farm that pays 23 bucks a day and she found she had the 3600 in just over 22 weeks, and they all lived happily ever after ,,,,,,,, phoooaaaaaghh

  • Geez

I freakin wish it was that easy to find a job around here...

But I'm glad you could paint such a nice portrait.

  • i think shes been eating some of those mushrooms

  • great dream, but would it not feel better to raise the money yourself with out asking for handouts?

ps. i lived in a bus in the mountains and they are cold and condensation turns into a real problem. so is finding somewhere to park it legaly.

  • i believe 1 solution is called a de-humidifier, run off of solar panels of course

  • reality check... youd need serious solar and lots of batterys, a humidifier draws serious amps and it would have to run all the time. a solar set up that could handle this kind of draw would cost her three time what the bus cost. I lived at 10,000 ft in my bus for 10 months and saw temps reach -30. I had 110v and a1500w heater and it ran 24-7. I never saw temps over 57 inside. the problem is the ice that it turns into. it actually bent the sheet metal. and tore welds.

  • @nappytedd -- Right-on with the hassle of parking, especially in lowland towns & northern Cal, but if you're ingenuous, determined & sly you can still do it. Sometimes ask around for a free or cheap rural/farm place to camp in exchange for errands, helping around the place, while you work a local job for funds to get back on the road. I've done it too. BTW: I wouldn't think of roughing-it without a woodstove, which deals with condensation VERY well, besides deadfall wood is always available.

  • finnally some one with a clue . ahhh a wood stove would have made all the diff for me. but you are right in everything you said. parking gets easier the longer you stay in one place, as long as they like you. I was able to plug in at a new found friends house in trade for favors. my motto is "the less you take the more others will give." I.E. don't be a sponge or ask for hand outs. most people thought I was a bum at first untill they saw that I held a job and would not take help from anyone.

  • no updates?? did she abandon her dream?? !?!

  • Glad to see others with similar aspirations! Good luck with your dream from your neighbour in Vancouver.

  • I luv your Idea I have a simular one of living in bus until I can save enough money to purchase and build my own homestead

  • have you got the bus yet?

  • I can think of a video....it would involve me, her, and alot of grunting and sweatin'.

  • ur hot

  • UMMMMM mainstream success does not beckon...

  • My dream is to live in a shoe. lol Nice , video.. :)

  • you wanna do this in a specific country... come to india... ill join in then :)

    love and light...

    spread the message of peace

  • yea go for it

from 63 year old real hippy

    peace and love bob

  • have you bought a bus yet?

  • thats great, save a pile of money instead of living in an apartment!

why pay all your money on rent...

    great video!!

  • Wow, the girl of my dreams. However I am fifty now and I am too old for you. Oh wellm what could have been! I wish you sucess with your dream ! ! !

  • WELL THIS vid was shot on nov 1 07 and I am just wandering how it is going have gotten your bus yet?

  • Cool idea and nice video f/x. Thats a beautiful part of the country.

  • Do you have internet in your teepee?

  • what the fuck..

  • thats really stupid.

and i feel bad for you that you live in a tent in the woods.

and you shouldn't ever sing again.

  • good luck!

  • you have nice tits!!!

  • if you'll stop at nothing to make your dream come true, why dont you just get a job for a while and save some money up?

  • I think the idea of living on a schoolbus is awesome, but keep in mind it it a very difficult thing to implement.

Make sure you have enough money first.

  • $3600.00 cut in half is $1800.00, buy a short bus!....:)

  • You smoke pot....

  • good luck! live the dream.

i did this in the uk in the 1990s before the police smashed us all up.

  • HEY there is a bus for sale on Ebay that would fitexactly what you want. unless you are one of those woman that has to decorate everything to your liking. Look up camping bus on ebay it is a old ford.BUT HAS A @ SPEED REAR END so it will save you on milage. and it is about 1600 bucks at this time

  • 3600 is not a lot of money, You could just get a job. I know that is a crazy idea but it wouldn't take that long to save 3600. Then everyone can keep there money to buy there own bus rather than pay for yours.

  • I have had the same dream for four years. Go for it.

  • Too much acid will hurt the mind.

  • I love your blue bus dream. I live in a blue biodiesel bus and just made a video tribute to alternative energy, biodiesel, and solar living. Check it out at my channel.

  • shutta da fackaa upaa

  • cool. im going there... now! LINK. AWAY. YEY.

  • didnt they just have a rainbow gathering their not that long ago?

  • Yes, they have all sorts of gatherings, parties, barter faires, and weddings there at the Trailhead Bnb!

  • I'm livin it and have been for 2 years. Yes, its a different way of life. Bought a short bus that was already converted and made some changes to suit me. Am going to utube it soon. I actually never camped in my entire life! I now find the simpler way of life is an extrodinary one. Wouldnt trade the experience for anything on earth. My very best to you!

  • Thanks ShortBusUs! I'll surely be checking out your videos ^_^

  • my uncle actually has a converted blue school bus. he lives at a farm in upstate n.y. how has it been coming?

  • Thanks slippereal... New update video coming soon. Tell your Uncle I said Hi!

  • This is a great idea. I cant believe how much we have in common. I feel like I am watching the female version of my self. Very kewl. Maybe I will get a blue bus also and we can start a peace movement. Easier said than done for me but it's nice to imagine. Keep up the good work. PeAcE

  • A ☮ Movement!

    WOOT!

    I'm SO there!

  • that is so grovey

  • & so are you!

  • I really like that you lived in a Tipi and maintained a very simple way of life. I also want to leave Babylon. I want to join a commune/ecovillage and live in a yurt, or a cob round house with a living roof.

  • @bernad4me

When I was 12 years old my IQ was 141, I studied premed Cum Laude. In high school I was a straight A+ student! I speak many languages. I own my own house. Do you know why? Because I drop out from the University in 1986, Tuned in to improve my EQ!!!! And I am a Proud hippie. I am Happy with my house, but being rich is having a beautiful RICH soul!

  • We live that way, and our bus is BLUE!! Its so great that someone else wants to live this way and hope you can get your very own!!

  • Thanks for the AWESOME comment!

I'd love to see pictures of your bus!

    *}Peace & Love{*

  • Let me know where you would like me to send this pictures to. We have lots!!

  • My god thats a awesome idea, the blues project bus is a great idea.Send me your address to donate for your blue bus project.

  • Anywho, if anyone chooses they can send donations, support letters, trinkets, etc...

    to:

    The Blue Bus Project

    PO BOX 461

    Trout Lake, WA 98650

  • What you really want is a compact pick-up truck with a cap on it. Back in the 90's I lived in a number of US cities out of the back of my Chevy S-10 and it went smooth. It's a optical iiiusion, people are like, "no way someone is living in there" and you could park almost anywhere. A Hippy school-bus would be a cop magnet. Living in your vehicle is a cool way to go until you have to take a dump in a plastic bag at 2 oclock in the morning hunched over like a Great Dane in a chiuwauas wire box.

  • Great visual...

    lol

    Thanks for the love.

Our idea was to make it hippie inside and sort of church bus outside...

    Less conspicuous that way ;)

Even with biodiesel it will be pretty spendy to travel a whole hell of a lot in a bus/cop magnet. So there will probably be a lot of parking with short stints of travel.

  • having a hippie bus would b pretty sweet, besides bein' a cop magnet and all... Definately would b good for those long "Trips"

with friends, and how awesome would it be to drive around and see the country?! Reminds me of Easy Rider...Livin the dream! \m/ Peace.

  • we lived in our school bus for 4 years in some of the best parts of town - parking under cable lines, you can even get cable tv without paying for it. yeah, a pickup truck is less noticeable - but living in a bus is out of this world~ and worth the effort to find places to park

  • Hey suretalley, thanks for the comment!

Parking sucks anyway, there is NO way I'm gonna parallel a bus... lol

  • hey there, live the dream!!!! love the doors lyrics!!!!

  • I was searching for an entirely different video and thought this was pretty neat of a dream. But embarassing yourself on front of many others for just cash? I wouldn't do that but you do what you must for dreams to become reality. Keep up the good work and dreams for the more power you have with dreams the more you can change the world, it's people like you who might save our planet while i hope to save todays kids so they all grow to be intelligent kids so our world won't be choas. 5 Star Vid!

  • Wow I'm going to SUPPORT the Blue bus project!!!! You are a Hippie?!:)

  • Thanks for the ♥ Psychedalien!

    I love your name!

    *}Peace{*

  • Been there and still doing it..since 89

keep with your dream...I have a story for

sale to the right person...but, don't ask for a handout...I didn't do it that way..I have sold cars, sewed for the U.S. ski team..grin and once finding our land, us digging our own well, creating a gorgeous organic garden..24 herb boxes..collecting mushrooms for 30 plus years and doing photography ...have fun, but don't beg for help.

  • Thanks for the comment sundogs2, and I appreciate your sharing your story. But to be fair, I am doing a lot of work to make my dream come true, and I'm not asking for handouts. If someone happens to be willing and generous, fine, as I feel I would donate to a similar cause if I had cash to do so.

I am simply using these videos to promote my jewelry, art, and other things that I am selling.

I'm not begging for handouts. I'm promoting.

  • dream for braces.

    "Dreams without actions stay dreams"

    -_-

  • Can I have a ride in your bus if you drive by here?

    YAY, BIODIESEL!!!

  • I loved Emo Emily, that is what got me in to you, and I think you are a very funny and creative film maker, and you are quite a lovely girl I might add. Keep up the good work!!!

  • lol?...wtf? there is a very famous person like this freak in the vid....he lifes in the woods and doesnt take any help from others ^^

his only eleictronics is a moblie to call the news very dday |^^

but this seems to be fun for some days maybe weeks...but not for ever...stupid hippie dirne -.-

  • If you are trying to refer to Mr. Kaczynski, I'll have you know that he was at one time a noted college professor. Which proves that just because you have an education, and a good job, doesn't mean that you are a good person. It's doesn't mean that you are sane either.Kaczynski

  • GR8 VIDS NXT TOO BLUNTY U R A UTUBE LEDGEND!!xxxx

  • OMG Nedi3!

That's one of the NICEST comments I've ever gotten!

    ♥ Thanks ♥!

  • Hmmm, what goods and services are you providing?

  • Other than the occassional eBay auction I am currently selling a lot of different items on my site including:

Handmade Jewelry made of crystals and other stones that I have found, wrapped in Silver Wire.

Poster Prints of some of my paintings and other artwork.

Funny Tshirts, pins, magnets, and hats at my online store "Hell in a Handbasket"

IMVU credits @ low rates for those who use that 3DIM service.

    ...

  • ...and lastly, if someone were to send me $23 I would make a video for them, this isn't just me offering to goof off on camera... this also extend to bands who want music videos made, or filmmakers who want some editing help.

    :D

Check out the website link for more info...

  • ahahahaha

  • ha haha is it upside down or transparant¿

  • and you pay for your internet+electricty+what not with our money? cool man, and no, you dont have a job, otherwise you wouldnt be making videos of yourself asking for our money, you stupid fken hippy, get a job. better yet go eat 20 tabs of acid, put yourself out of misery.

  • 20 tabs of acid!?

    Now there's a money maker!

My fiance is a carpenter, with a real job to pay the bills with.

This venture is just to raise EXTRA cash for the bus that we can't yet afford BECAUSE of the bill paying.

I never promote giving me money for NOTHING.

I am SELLING things on my website.

Jewelry, art prints, eBay items, etc.

If people want to donate money, kewl.

But I am offering goods & services.

This is just my way of promoting them.

  • What makes me think that your not really sleeping out there? Do you wire your internet connection into the ground? Hippies dude, GET A FKEN JOB.

  • I have a job... it's called annoying haters.

    I'm a professional hater annoyer.

And you're right, we're not sleeping in the tipi currently...not since early December when the snow hit hard.

We got a small trailer that we are going the strip the appliances out of the put in the bus once it is purchased.

    ...and it's wireless internet.

I hooked it up myself. In addition to being a hater annoyer I'm also freelance tech support for other needy hippies.

    *}Peace{*

  • this is a good idea !!

  • I love this idea! I actually had a friend at the tech support call center I used to work for who did something similar. He didn't make it eco-friendly, but he retrofitted it to live in.

    Good luck!

  • hmm I dont think much of hippies.. good luck to you none the less.

  • happy yule lol thats a good one...people should visit wikipedia more often.

  • though wikipedia is nice..

I actually celebrate the Winter Solstice instead of Christmas, Chuanukkah, etc...

    Blessed Be

  • I'm in for a merry prankster adventure!

  • @_@

    Me 2

    o_O

  • Why do I get the impression you don't have health insurance or a day care center on the the blue bus? Peace would be great if only someone could convince everyone to give it a chance. Nevertheless, I am, optimistically pesimistacally yours, but resigned from all psychadellic substances and recommending the same for anyone who would rather rust that burn out. MH PS Have you seen "Kenya" or "Kitty Cat Dance" ? Peace Out, and don't feed the UFO's.

  • LMAO!

No, there is no insurance plan, or even pregnancy leave for those who want the school bus life!

I know a family of four, including two lil ones under 5, who live in a big pink school bus named Floyd. They are part of the reason why this dream is so strong. They are one of the happiest, closest, most balanced familes I know!

Living in a space that small really puts you in perspective!

..and I dont' feed the UFOs, I just signal them with my lighter.

  • Ok, so I owned a trailer and it sat on a rented lot in a mobile home park in 98 and 99 and i turned it from a rundown dump to a pretty cool pad. The cost was a little more than 3 grand and there was a little red tape, and it had no engine and went nowhere and if it were a bus and not a trailer they would have towed it, but I surely appreciate the true value of dreams is priceless and this period of my life is truely unforgetable. You'll never know what you can do until you try! Go for It!

  • That´s a wonderful dream. I hope you can come near to your dream. Merry Christmas. P.

  • Thanks Hoffman9471

Happy Yule to you as well :D

  • Walden in a Blue Bus? Sounds like something worth going for. I will think about how to promote you.

  • Thanks Folksinger!

    Promotion is GOOD!

    *clicks to see your profile*

  • I have a question.

Is there a lake in Trout Lake?

  • The actual lake that Trout Lake is named after is outside of Trout Lake city limits...

    but yeah there is one.

  • It would be cheaper to fly to Australia and spend the summer in Nimbin in a hippie commune. It is really beautiful. Anyway, blessings from Earth +++ The Saint +++

  • AW!

    That sounds so freaking kewl!

I've always wanted to go to Australia!

...and a hippie commune sounds like something I could get used to :P

    Thanks for the post saintfletcher

    ♥

    Woot!

It's fun to share a dream.

You wanted to live in a bus and hunt for crystals?

    That's so kewl.

Thanks for the ♥ and support :D

  • no , thnx for sharing a dream you are cool not me!!! I unfortunatly can't live my dream because I don't live in the US so...its not going to come true

  • Maybe you should make a video about your dream...

You never know when someone is going to be willing to help you achieve your goals.

Romania is cool, there are lots of cool crystals and stones you can find in that area.

I've never left the US, but I'd love to go to Europe.

  • Very cool, I wish you the best of luck! I am a little jealous, I did some long road trips back in the day, miss that freedom. I will check out the website, best wishes, Tom.

  • Wow, you posted quite a few comments on my vids!

    Thanks for the support.

    Road trips are definately FUN!

I can't wait to start traveling the country...

  • Hi Steph, I tried to check out the site, it's not working for me, I just get a page of html text. I am down with the 23 bucks, but I don't use paypal, if you have a place I can send a money order to, let me know:) Dig the channel, you are cool, be well, Tom.

  • That is so wierd.

Usually people don't have a problem with the website working, but every now and then they do, and it always looks fine to me...?

Anywho, if anyone chooses they can send donations, support letters, trinkets, etc...

    to:

    The Blue Bus Project

    PO BOX 461

    Trout Lake, WA 98650

Make checks/money orders out to Stephanie and I'll do the rest.

    :)

  • Very cool, I kind of blitzed your videos the other day, and really liked what I saw. Tis the Christmas season and all, something will be coming your way. Best of luck with everything:)Tom.

  • Interesting project! Are you planning on brewing your own bio-diesel?

  • I would like to brew my owm biodiesel... for now though I know people who make it so it's available in the area.

Older engine types can be started on diesel, then run on pure strained veggie oil, then flush with diesel again before you stop the engine. So there is no actual refining neccessary. This is what I am hoping for.

    Thanks for the comment.

    Keep watching for updates :D

    *}Peace{*

  • When I told my girlfriend I wanted to live in a Yurt she said "I'm not dating a homeless guy" ....wish there were more women like you..... peace

  • Yurts rock!

They are more expensive than a tipi, and less portable though.

But they are super comfy, I don't know why she would complain :D

Keep up the alternative thinking, and you'll find an open minded chick, I'm sure of it!

    *}Peace & ♥{*

  • I think your website is broken. The index file does not appear to have the correct file extension (the part of the name after the dot). I think it should be index.htm or index.html. Currently it does not appear to have an extension so it is not displaying properly.

  • the correct extenstion is .htm

but it seems to be working fine from here...

    ?

  • hey ^_^ I think this sounds great, if you're in south orange county, ca in the next six months, or around harrisburg, pa pretty much anytime past 10 months from now, hit me up and I'll buy you dinner and pay for a tank of gas. best of wishes

  • Oh man!

I can't wait to start traveling!

    ♥

  • you got me thinking, and I know musicians all over the country, so I'm thinking about getting a basement rv and converting it a studio on wheels so I could do some traveling and collaborate with other musicians along the way

  • That sounds like tons of fun!

  • You rock, thanks for the friend invite. I'll check out your channel!

  • Last time I seen a 9/11 dollar bill was in the cranberries Glades in West Virginia on the 4th of July. I love camping with 20,000 other people :) when watching for Nick at Nite. :)

  • Sweet.

I have never seen another one. Snatched it up in Kansas City at a radio station that plays The Alex Jones Show

  • Wow, I've always want to try to live like you have been doing. I wish I could donate some money but I'm pretty much broke. However once I get some money I'll be more than willing to try and make your dream come true.

  • Here's an idea! How about instead of doing this pathetic, online panhandling, you pick yourself up off of your campsite in the dirt and... I don't know... GET A JOB!? And it better be a short-bus model you want, because you're clearly a retard with nothing valuable to contribute!

  • Why don't you send the shorty bus that picks you up every morning over my way and We'll see if it's worth converting...

  • ...and this would be SUPPLIMENTAL income.

    look it up
