  • What did your friend pay for this bike?

  • @dropfry $450 I think

  • If you hold the spark plug wire I'm pretty sure you'll give yourself a little jolt! :) Shouldn't you include grabbing the wire with the plug in it with insulated pliers or channel locks?

  • @MicahSmithTV True enough! Although if you do get a jolt, at least you know you have spark!

  • what are those style bar called?

  • @diederrr

Not sure just search for cafe racer bars on google you'll find them

  • @diederrr -look for clubman bars.

  • @diederrr They're called clip-ons. They have a clamp that goes around the fork tube. From my experience, clubman bars aren't as comfortable as clip-ons.

  • Thanks for these videos. I'm going to look at a '78 CB550 tomorrow as my first bike. Although you got me a little freaked because it only has 8,900 miles on it, haha.

    Thanks again!

  • @vigcs

Haha don't let me scare you off it might work out just look over it really well and take your time making the decision, they are great bikes. Good luck

  • @mrmaxstorey

Thanks for the reassurance. He has it priced at $1500 and it looks to be in damn good shape judging by the pictures he sent me.

  • Another good idea is to feel the exhaust pipes after the bike has run for a few seconds. Tough each one, they should all be warm and the same temp... Always check the oil too...

  • That's a very good point, I carry a digital infrared thermometer for this purpose.
