I know what it is like to go through that kind of hatred, when i was younger I almost suicided at 15 because i felt I was the only person with these feelings. I am much older now and I do agree we all need to let people know that it still exists. I went through hell in high school and i came from a very bigoted country town. It tears my heart out to think he died that way. My heart goes out to his family and those who loved him. Stay strong

@happyboy788 Sorry for the long delay, I had been away for two weeks and arrived home last night. I agree with you that hate has to stop, and it is only in uniting as a community will it end so many young people are either afraid of back lash or bullying and it saddens me that so many have become complacent because it won't go away. I have friends who are gay and they have though of suicide and it scared the hell out of me... I had no idea what to do. I couldn' t tell them that I understood because I'm straight.... he is over it... but i still fear he has those thoughts.... do you have any idea of what I can tell him? I've told him he isn't sick
@brewerschick08 One of the hardest things for anyone who feels less than who they are, is trying to reach them. You sound like a wonderfully warm person and all you can do is let him know you'll be there at anytime he needs it. Is there anywhere he can go to talk to councillors that are running gay services. It does take a while to recover from those thoughts and if he can he can drop me a line. I don't know him but let him know I am a suicide survivor...more to follow
@brewerschick08 what you can do is get him to stand in front of a mirror with you there and let him see or help him see how beautiful he really is. It will be hard for him, but he needs to see the pain has been created by others and not him and that being gay is a beautiful thing and say to him that he is not to allow anyone to make him less than who he is. There is also the acknowledgement that he could be taking away another persons happiness in finding a perfect mate by ending his life

I grew up in a time when the words homosexual and gay were'nt uttered except as words of hate. We need to show people through out actions that we are no different than anyone else. And also let them know that we will no longer tolerate their hatred simply for the sex of the person we fall in love with. Thank you for the wonderful video.
