That can happen with Lithium Polymer. Thats why they don't use them in cars or the newer laptops. They can blow up and catch fire if drained too quickly!

I find it hard to believe so many don't know 'Amazing Grace' and are crediting it to various contemporary movies. Perhaps they have not lived yet enough or well enough. The only thing that would have topped this would have been to play 'Taps' as we watched it smoke. Nonetheless, it is painful to see an airplane crash and burn. Better luck in the future.

nice plane easy repair with some tape wings snapped well just double side tape it and or glue it and it done new lipo may be needed i know great sites and new motor may be needed too same thing happend with my russian su 47 all i did was tape it and new lipo and it was flying like it was out of the box again

I didnt see anything that wasnt an easy repair job on that plane. granted the pictures werent the best, but slap on some epoxy and box tape, get a new lipo, and get that thing back in the air. Seen planes have much more damage than that one and be back in the air in less than 30 minutes.
