Hey! Can someone please help me?

I have no problems with adding tracks, but it's not the same story for cars.

I've got a popular car mod downloaded with files Sounds and Vehicles, rFm, and UIData. I suppose I just move the Sounds, Vehicles, and rFm folders and files to the appropriate location, but the UIData has the same file as the ones that are already in my game's UIData.

And yeah... I'm stuck );

well WorldofLuxury... the sound and vehicles files are programed to search the name of the UI folder and the respective files in it... so if the standard UI file must overwrite those rfactor files the mod isn't just an "addon" but a semi MODIFICATION of your actual rfactor. It's suck, I know, and I don't know how to change those files behavier. It's maybe ilegal to modify those files, and better not to, cuz we need to be glad those mods are free. sry about my bad english. >>>

No no... Thanks a lot for your help. I'm guessing that it's recommended to simply move only the sounds and vehicles into the rFactor file.

I'm just annoyed by the fact that the game is so sensitive; any slight adjustments to something that shouldn't be touched by amateur hands should best be left alone.

Wow I can't believe I've come to a new problem already.

Yesterday, all of a sudden, I got this window that says "rFactor Config Utility has stopped working". I have been using Windows 7 RC during, which boosted the performance, but I decided to recover my computer back to Vista and finally, back to 7 RC to see if things get any better, but they haven't. I think the game did work once, but that was all.

Do you happen to know what this problem is?

lol, no prob. Dude, I'm on windows 7 RC too and my rfactor works very well. You've tried to reinstall rfactor already? ... with no mods. It's the best thing you can do. If you had reinstalled, try to run it with other direct X, you can change that on rFactor config, or run rFactor as administrator.

Weird... I don't think the problem has anything to do with Windows 7 RC because I have been using it during the whole time.

Any chance that the original DVD-ROM has been tainted?

I'm unable to open the rfactor Config Utility because that is the very thing that "has stopped working".

Is the problem with the Config Utility or when you try to launch rFactor this warnning error pops up? Your rFactor did worked once? If it didn't maybe your machine is not compatible with the requiremments. If it worked once is better you check for drivers updates and check your video card hardware. Hope I've helped.

I have to use the Config Utility when after installing the software, and apparently, the Config Utility is activated whenever rFactor is activated.

I've been trying for a whole week now... so tired...

I guess I won't be playing any rFactor for awhile, so wish me good luck in behaving on the public road :P

Anyways, it's summer, but it's awkwardly cool and cloudy here in LA, so... yeah... lol

Dude, no problem. But BELIEVE it or not, I'm just having the SAME freakin problem! O.o wtf! I'd reinstalled it cuz it was ocupating too much space on HD, but now when I just tried to run... Config utility just stop work every time. Wtf²³²! How crazy is that?! Oo ....I'm gonna stop playin either...

I have a Sony VAIO LS20E

- Intel Core 2, T5500 @1.66GHz

- 2.00GB memory/ 250 GB HD

- 32-bit Operating System

- Windows 7 Ultimate (RC) ...I wonder if Windows 7 RTM would work

I installed Intel Processor Identification Utility through Microsoft's Vitual PC website, and it told me I didn't have Hardward Virtualization.
