  • you can judge but as said by others you need to judge with righteousness 1corinthians 5: 12-13 For what do i have to do with judgeing outsiders? Is it not hose whoa re inside the church whom you are to judge (verse 13) God judges those outside. Purge the evil person from among you. I Corinthians 2:15 Paul says, "But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man." So it would be kinda bad to judge someone truthful when it's bad for even michael to judge the devil

  • here is another proof of this 1 corinthians 6:3 Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more matters of this life? here it says to judge even angels jude 1:9 But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" see the evidence above shows that judge so that ye be not judged is a thing that even michael a high angel didn't violate against satan.

  • he was for sure talking to the christians on this one...

  • hmm, interesting !!

  • Excellent! We are allowed to judge but we should judge righteously! (John 7:24)

  • this is just a good pece of advice. for anyone regardless of religion a goodrule of thumb. it does not mean you can never make judgements. you can think that probably somone is bad but its jesus call in the end not yours lucky christians

  • Amen.

  • "Finger Pointer" from Dale Brown's cd "Beware of Dogs" would be a good one here

  • "Judge not...

...according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment."(Joh 7:24)

  • I find it strange that the "judge not" statement most often put forth ("judge not, lest ye be judged yourself") is one I cannot seem to find in any modern version, not even the KJV. I think this is significant, as it tells us how little real attention is paid to this passage and its actual meaning. It also gives us an indication that many do not even bother to read the actual passage as it is written, but simply repeat it "polly-parrot" from others.

  • What sermon is this do you happen to know?

  • I think it was titled, "From the Temporal World to the Eternal Kingdom - Part 1"

  • Why are you judging my comment!? =D

Thanks much. I tracked it down. Excellent message.

  • You are so right Johnny Boy! The church is called to inspect, discern and judge the church with repentance, healing, restoration and love as the motivation for the judging. But some Christian do not want to be accountable, so they use the "don't judge me" line as a license to sin.

  • Your right Fatmime. It is grossly abused as an all encompasing blanket statement to silence Christians. How can you be bold in your faith when you are forbidden judge (discern/comprehend) the affairs of this world? What is sad is how many genuinely ignorant Christians use it. The Lord said my children perish for lack of wisdom.

  • Ben, will you post this as a reply to the new Osteen series I posted? (Video 3of4) If you watch the first minute, you'll understand why.
