@MrDevilsbrood1012 Thanks man. Yes we got to do so much more while we were there, but I had to spread the picture love around a bit. Yes holding the '' Oxygen Destroyer'' was a very religious experience, lol
@Xeivous . Hi. Yes it was. This was Nagoya Castle. We made a point of visiting that castle, as well as the one used in King Kong Vs Godzilla. The one used in KKVG was visited quite by accident. We saw it on our way to another location and got off the train to go visit. Kind of cool to just see it in the distance from our train ride...
@superzapper . Thanks man. Much appreciated. The guys who put on G-Fest, just got back from one hell of a tour a few months ago. They visited many sites including a very special tour of Toho studios with Akira Takarada and Haruo Nakajima present. Hope you make it some day yourself. Worth the trip..
@SoCalWhiteboyXx Thanks. The suits are made of Rubber and with all the harsh lights and the abuse they take during filming, they just fall apart after time.
@GojiGuy . Thanks. Yes that is correct. Toho does not give tours to the public. But my friends are long time Kaiju fans and had the right connections. We have friends who have worked there as well as a good relationship with the studio. In other words, it's who you know. Thanks .
Thanks for posting, this is awesome!! This is a long shot but they give you any info on special effects? I always wondered how in Godzilla and Sentai the explosions never obliterated the costumes/people in them and how they did it - if there was a small charge on the costume or what. It may sound like a stupid question but it's always been a question of mine
@FilmMan5000 , No one at Toho said anything to us about that , But if you want to know more about that subject, I would look to Bob Johnson or August Ragone. They are on FB and are Godzilla experts..
@Raidmasterprod Background music is from the great Japanese composer Akira Ifukube. Ifukube is responsible for most of the music in most of the Godzilla films between 1954- 1972.
Awesome. Cool to see it all. I also saw you met the Shinkenger (Power Rangers Samurai). Did you see Toei as well, or was there a specific reason for them being there?
@dlkjynx Well yes you do. If your a visitor you will need a pass. We did not require one though because we have some very good friends who arranged the visit. It was totally VIP for us and we were taken to many places beyond a normal tour so to speak. We were very lucky and grateful.
@godzillaisnuclea123 No. The studio is not open to the public. Like all film studios, It helps to know someone. We happen to do know all the right people, lol Thanks.
Whatever you guy's do don't Bathe,Swim or Scuba dive with the Oxygen Destroyer!
I see Kabuto,Momotaros,Den-o,Shinkenger's,Akumaro,Neo Baltan's head and Godzilla 2000 and vs Megaguirus prop's Did you guy's happen to see the 1954 suit? yeah I know they rot over time so does it still exist? and was a little creepy seeing the prop's of Godzilla and Orga? I met Robert Scott Field and he said it wasn't creeoy to him seeing the prop's.
@sonicadventureDX . The 54 suit does not exist anymore but there were a lot of props that we were able to see. Mnay that are not on this video. Thanks for asking.
Awesome clips, ur lucky to visit Japan Toho Studios :) I wish 1 day that will be possible, Best wishes and stay cool. Happy you posted great clips. of ur Japan Trip
@AK107DX . All these suits an so on are all made mostly from Foam Rubber. That type of material rots away in time and there is not much you can do about it..
@Primevals33 Same thing with the Jurassic Park dinosaurs- the foam rubber rotted away from most of the originals, and it didn't take that long, either. Stuff also soaks up water like there's no other, so I wonder how the heck they did the water scenes for Godzilla movies! You would think it would get far heavier than it already was, and the guy wouldn't be able to move. Must've somehow waterproofed it (unlike the Rex in JP which gained hundreds of pounds in water weight).
All my life I wanted to see Toho Studios in Japan. Unfortunately, it never happened. Thank you for posting and bringing me a little closer to my dream! :)
@Godzie1 . I hope that dream will come true some day. By the way. The guy's at G-Fest are planning a trip to Toho this August with quite a few people associated with the Godzilla films. Godzilla suit actor Haruo Nakajima is one of them. Wish I could of told you about this sooner. It is part of G-Tour 2011.
@Primevals33 Unless Mothra comes & fly's me to Toho on his back my dream will never be a reality? I'm disabled & walking is not my specialty. But thank you for letting me know & 20 years ago I never would of hesitated to see Toho to experiance a tour of the history on Godzilla films & the making of them. :) (Personally I doubt "Final Wars" could be beat it is my favorite out of all of them)
@Mindfreak2400 . I don't understand what you mean? How were we lucky? Most people have Camera equipment with them on planes, so there is no restrictions of having them with you so there would be no need for a '' Pat Down'' for a camera. The problem would be using them during take offs and landings. Since the Japanese are non- confrontational about most things, they would of only asked for me to put it away !
@usmcpvtswat . Well making it to Japan was the easy part. Holding the '' Oxygen Destroyer'' is another story. Just making it inside Toho Studios will take a few connections or two. Good luck on your quest....
how did you become so high profile godzilla fans and well known in the kaiju system because i want to live in Japan when im older, and i am a massive godzilla and other Kaiju monster Fan!
@Warhammerdude980 : Well let me 1st say this about your question. When I mean '' High Profile'' this pertains to how long my friends have been associated with the Kaiju genre. We might not look it, but some of us are pushing 50 and have been fans of it since the early 1960's! Many of us work on website and have been guests at Film conventions. Does that make us better than anyone else? No way, but having the right connections is what I mean by high profile.
I have always dreamed about seeing the real Godzilla suits.
I look at the pictures and i see some of the suits have holes in them and they look like they are faling apart. Is this because of how rubber reacts over time ?
Do you think the old Heisei suit is alive ? My favourite suit is the 1989 type. Didn`t that one get stolen during filming Godzilla vs Biollante ?

@ranger082469 Well not too sound to snobby, but my friends and I really did not have to go through anyone. We are high profile Godzilla fans and we have all the right connections so to speak. Lets just say we have a lot of great friends and are well known in the kaiju game.
@Primevals33 ah ok just checking i plan on going next summer call it a pilgrimage could you give me some sights to visit toho studios ect or a website specializing in spots to hit when in japan with godzilla , gamera ect would appreciate it greatly
@Heavyarmz81 : Well, that really depends . Are you talking about Hotels, food, toys ( Godzilla) ??? Everyone has their own budget. If you are going their on the cheap, then I would have at least 3 grand to spend on goodies. Then another 2 grand on Hotels and a JRpass.. The money thing is really on you though. You can spend Mountains of money there believe me. I probably spent the most there. Around 4 grand just for Godzilla toys.
@Primevals33 well travel expenses mostly. I know i've done my research and it came roughly over 5 grand for airline tickets and hotels for the norm. But since u spent that much i highly doubt that i'll come up with that much.
