Why buy a lowly 4 cylinder 1918 Ford Model T with an archaic planetary tranny as well as a troublesome & injurious crank starter when you could buy a big, luxurious & more modern V8 Bowtie like this? WAY more power & torque than a Tin Lizzie, Non-injurious electric starter which the Model T would get the next year, A more modern 3 speed sliding gear transmission which would appear on the 1928 Ford Model A, I'd take one of these over a 1918 Model T anytime!!
Hello, The race went BK. So the group asked me to set something up. So on Oct. 18 we leave Time Square at 10:15am and drive the same route as they did in 1908 and arrive in San Fransisco On Nov. 8th. Everybody is responsible for they're own gas, food, and lodging, and you can come and go as you please. 288 cu. in. 40hp and 14mpg. Thanks for you're interest. Luke
Luke: me again, [Fone]still searching for that dash lite, does the bulb have two contacts, and the switch move back & forth to make contact on the bulb?.
I can see the vacuum tank on the firewall,it must work ok as long as you have clean fuel.I have the missing shield you need for your dash lite,if I can find it. Fone.
Does it have an oilcan under the hood?. I know the 1923 4 cyl Chev. had one to oil the rocker arms. It must have low pressure splash lubication?.Fone.
nice car

If it has a cone clutch you would know it,it's really hard to take off without the jackrabbit starts. the exhaust really sounds great!.

Hi fonephat, Yes it has a cone clutch. If you know how to adjust them they are as smooth as a standard clutch. Thanks for the question.
