I am very proud of your video communication. I had a T3/T4 Compressed Spinal Cord Injury they told me on 5/23/2009 and was not expected to live. Came out of comma after 2 months and spent 18 months in rehab. Back home now and trying to adjust. Feel free to contact me at jereboze@netzero.com or yahoo messenger ID j_jeremy39 if you care to chat and need someone to talk to. Take care and thanx for the inspiration - God Bless you Tamara !
Thank you for posting your story, as it has inspired me to do the same with myself. Almost 4 years ago now I was hit on my motorcycle on the highway, and slid headfirst into the guardrail headfirst. The accident blew out my T6/T7 vertebrae and almost cut my arm off. I would like to do a bunch of videos about my life and my car and new motorcycle(yes, I bought and modified a new motorcycle so I can ride again. Check out my videos for some of me on the bike.
Id loveto chat with you sometime about getting back out and involved in things, asboth my parents passed away when I was 5 and 20 years old, so without any kind of rock or base to be supportive, I find its difficult to get out and meet new people. Im kind of agoraphobic, because I feel like I can never be sure what people are thinking when they meet me. Do you skype and would you be willing to chat with me sometime?
De Nada Tamara and thanks for sharing your life with others so they may have hope and be inspired by you're courage and determination. you show those with disabilities that you do not see yourself as a person with limitations but all things are possible with Jesus Christ.
Your video is very touching and inspirational. I'm a c 5-6 quad. Would be great to share your story on our social network for family, friends and survivors of spinal injury on pushrim.com Thanks for sharing :)
@ipushrim I would LOVE to!!! Thank you for your kind words and your interest. I'm glad you found it touching and inspirational. That means a lot to me! Give me a contact person/email/info and we'll get connected. Thank You!!!!
Everyone who is saying god isn't real, that is your damn opinion. Keep it to yourself. Stop trying to make people feel inadequate because of their beliefs. God works in mysterious ways, many that we don't understand, and that's why bad things sometimes happen to good people.
Anyway you're an inspiration sweetheart, I love your videos. -3
@tcollinsx I respect everyone's opinions:). Thank you for your kind words. I'm grateful for surviving my accident for having the ability to make a difference. I focus on that and I appreciate everything I have. Thank you for your support.
@CapnDumpsterDiver Thank you! Well you know what, wheelchair or crutches, walking or not, we're lucky to be alive:). That is my biggest blessing in life. I wish you the best!!
@candykisses832 As I had commented to someone else: Well thank you! I try to stay active and work out. Wearing the right clothes that fit me right helps too;). My tummy is still not what it used to be before my accident. Unfortunately, because of my sci level, there's not much I can do for my lower abs and I've just had to accept that and embrace it:).
If there was any God bad things would happen to bad people. Tamara don't waste anymore time thanking anyone for the fact that your alive... That's solely for your parents.
Tamara - there either is a God or there isn't. No-one knows.
Ok - let's say there is no God. That would explain why a beautiful young girl with great intelligence, wonderful personality and the body of a Goddess is stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of her life and has had her beloved boyfriend snatched away from her.
Now let's say there is a God - he is responsible for all the above.
Tamara - you are a stunning and beautiful girl with a fantastic attitude to life. Just forget the God crap.
@GBliners I focus on What I have TODAY and what I CAN do! That's what I'm all about, and making this life that I have and that I'm deeply grateful for count. Thank you for the compliments. Best to you! :)
@arfariz Well thank you! I try to stay active and work out. Wearing the right clothes that fit me right helps too;). My tummy is still not what it used to be before my accident.
