I only bother to keep the "red seal" two dollar notes (series 1928, 1953, 1963). The rest are pretty much worthless and I just deposit them.

Go to your local bank and ask for Dollar coins and $2 bills. If they don't have them someone else probably will, ask around. You can also ask the bank to place a large order from the reserve. Use them to make your everyday purchases and help alleviate that surplus the federal reserve banks and the mint have people. These denominations are made for use. Besides the fact they aren't going to be worth anything as a collectible until some distant future date when the supply is dwindled to nothing.

You know you can go to your local bank and just ask for them. If they don't have any, you can just ask them to order some from the Federal Reserve, and you will get a strap of 100 ($200) for face value, and a lot of times they are uncirculated.
