This clip tracked the most sensitive part of the movie. Both Romy Schneider and Peter O'Toole walked along in the Paris night back to their apartment building and the magical moment occurred when he admitted that he loved her.
I got this film for Christmas. It was fantastic to see Peer Sellers and co. It's a shame that a lot of the stars are no longer with us. We do, however, have this movie to treasure forever.
marvellous movie with this Bacharach masterpiece at it's centre - Dionne's version is a masterclass in diction and musical precision - the bossa nova ending was a mistake but fashionable at that time ( like Do You Know the Way to San Jose ) - wife to Peter Sellars when he admits to an affair "is she prettier than me ?" . Sellars replies - "is she pretiier than you - I'M prettier than you"
I so agree, saw this film when it first came out and was enchanted. Funny, witty and clever for its day. A joy, and I usually watch it once a year at Xmas. Showed a clip of it recently to a wonderfull young Czech friend of mine, who had just discovered she was pregnant. Her partner was working in France for a month and had rung him up to tell him the news, he replied "how ?" So I played her the "tell me, what have I done ?, what did I do, etc" clip, and she fell about laughing !
@BunkyOhare - It says a lot when you can invoke a movie clip to bring some sense and humour to a real life crisis - it is not great cinema by any stretch of the imagination but it combines some great gags ( courtesy of Woody ), some great comedy acting from Sellars and O'Toole and some great music. Brilliant escapist fantasy !

Burt Bacharach...One of the best composers ever. This song is also performed by the great singer Dionne Warwick.

Ursula was at her stunning best in this movie. Capucine is a great beauty too - wonderful to see them together on screen.
