  • I just bought a 96 9c1. Yesssss!!!!

  • Maybe you're a loose wire!!!

  • Wow, the car moved when you rev it lol.

  • shot in the daaark...

  • u got lt1s in the wagons

  • @mwd92 Yup, both my Roadmaster and Caprice wagons have LT1s

  • @moldymac if u r interested in selling one let me know

  • No such thing as an "ex" cop car the correct term is retired. But it's the same thing!

  • sweet find, you could probably flip that and sell it for a few grand since its in fairly good shape

  • I'm jealous

  • To bad to see a nice car stand like that!

  • I you should re connect the wires and put the glovebox back in and such

    Nice car!!!!

  • @TheSpeedula I got the glove box back in, bought some interior panels to replace the missing ones, and traded another Caprice owner my black carpet for a blue one that matches the rest of the interior. I got some of the wiring fixed, but it randomly blows fuses, needs a good going through when it gets warm.

  • @moldymac nice

  • @lionelnut69 Not for sale right now

  • @moldymac just kidding wish i could find one for that price i need a second car so bad right now

  • that sounds awesome. fully loaded car that you'll for sure have fun with! as cool as some of those custom exhaust systems sound, some of them really stink and have a tendency to burn oil. yet those are probably not well maintained or properly installed. haha. i trust if it has that problem you'll take care of it. i love all the lights in it too. especially the fog lights under the grille. that looks really cool. she's a keeper!

  • @mhtube01 The exhaust sounds great but does need work. Theres leaks where the pipes join past the cats on both sides, probably bad machine work. And this thing is a blast to drive!

  • @moldymac cool! it certainly looks like a sweet car. I have rarely seen custom exhaust systems installed correctly which to me is never that surprising since so many people have no idea how to work on cars. But once the it gets warmer you'll be able to work on the car much more easily. Did you find out what the cause of the surging issue was?

  • @mhtube01 Well the guy that owned this one seemed to cut corners left and right with the work on this car, so I am not surprised with anything I find wrong on this car. I didn't take a video, but he ripped the harness for the fuel tank at some point and instead of splicing it where it broke, he punched a hole in the trunk and spliced it into the harness with wire nuts! No wonder the car stalled for no reason. The surging was just a rotted PCV line causing a vac leak. No surge now.

  • @moldymac oh ok. Glad to hear that wasn't a big deal. But jeez what a stupid move with the fuel tank! Are you going to do an update on the car in the spring? I'd like to see it all cleaned up.

  • that sounds badass

  • awesome ! those Lt1s are a freakin awesome engine and those caprices are so sweet!

  • now thats a sleeper

  • that car sounds awesome but id rather have a ford police interceptor

  • @casebutler Junk!

  • The surging is some kind of an air leak, could be a brake booster or just a vacuum hose.

  • @justin3zelda Could be alot more than that on a LT1.. Could need a cap and rotor, EGR valve sticking (Common) Dirty MAF.. TPS sensor sticking, Dirty IAC.. Even the PCV valve grommets dry out. Mine was horrible.

  • @ghtowagon PCV grommet was fine, the rubber elbow was a rotted mess.

  • @justin3zelda It was a lot easier than I thought. I was thinking IAC at first, found the rubber elbow to the PCV valve was rotted through. A spark plug boot was the perfect replacement, and she runs perfectly now.

  • I'll give you $500 for that car eventually looks and sounds awesome!!!!!!!!!!! N

  • 99 videos what you doing for 100

  • @thealexbarsa Woh, didn't even notice! I'll have to come up with something.

  • Nice find! I had buddy with the same car in black. He could do burnouts all day long and smoke most C5 vettes. Good times....

  • @sleepinggiant90 lol. i think a lot of cars out there could smoke most C5 vettes. i never liked that model personally. they were too round for a Corvette and pretty big. my dad always referred to them as ladies cars. haha. i was much more impressed with the C6. now they look like a corvette should! but that's just my opinion.

  • NICE CAR

  • Rare color. It looks nice

  • Nice sounding pipes !!

  • Nice. I love those older Chevys.

  • don't look too bad for 400. motor should be worth that
