This is one of those songs that effects you differently during the day, then at night.Thats a sign of a true artist. Being able to evoke feelings within you from multiple angles.
like everyone has been saying, your pictures are stunning, just beautiful. glad i found this video you put together. thank you for sharing your work with us.
Absolutely beautiful images to truly complement a magnificent version of this song! Thank you! Incidententally, the lyrics are from Burt Bacharach's longtime lyricist, Hal David.
man i would hate to be driving with this guy on the road... dancing, crying, counting telephone poles, writing letters... good grief... and i thought cell phones were dangerous...
Manuelori! Thank you so very much for sharing this wonderful collection of pictures which are in perfect sync with this brilliant song sung by Art Garfunkel! It is very, very kind of you to share this with the rest of us. God Bless and best wishes!
Don't live in LA anymore --- but I grew up there in the 50's, had a couple of wives and a couple of kids there too. Met my third one there who I just lost a few months ago. She was the best! So this song really floods my mind and heart with memories --- good and not so good. LA was a HUGE part of my life, there's no denying that fact. This music and Art transported me back to savor and enjoy the really wonderful events of my past, and leave the others just a bit out of memories reach.
I was on a long music road trip when this song came out and it really captures the way you can move between two worlds of melancholy and serenity when you drive long distance thinking of someone...

bubbabeano... Okay, you are intitled to your choice, it's a beautiful song no matter what. I just happened to see Julio perform 99 miles live and will never forget his genius. It's all good, we LOVE music & that's what makes the world go-round!!! Mattie in the NW

Very beautiful photography. Goes perfectly with the song. I lived approx. 99 miles from L.A. when I was stationed at Camp Pendleton :)

Many, many times in my life when I'm about 99 miles from L.A. (on the way home to San Diego) I start singing this song.
'Course, that just means I'm about 200 miles from home. Different vibe.

Absolutely breathtaking images, manuelorl! They all complement this classic song perfectly! You are a real top-notch photographer!
I'd say this is Art Garfunkel's best solo recording, it's certainly my favorite! I didn't know it was Albert Hammond's song originally.
Thank you so much for sharing!

couldnt tell you if it was from 1969 or 2009
the lyrics are so poetic and the vocals sound sad and sincere.
