  • Networking is everything. Who you know is far more important that what you know assuming a basic level of knowledge. I probably won't go to law school but if I do I already got offered a position as long as I get decent grades at a top 25. I have a few friends that work there and we drink together. Accountants comingle with practicing lawyers.

  • @FutureCACPA So true it is all about networking and people seems to forget that. Networking is how I got my foot into the film business door.

  • I hate it when the response I get from people about how they got their jobs is "I have a friend there" or "I have a relative there", no matter what job it is. I've never had a friend or relative even try to fix me up with a job

  • @MrCharrrles Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww well aren't you wonderful.

  • People forget to ask the MOST important question- Top15% of the class in WHICH LAW SCHOOL?

  • what do you call 20,000 lawyers drowned in the ocean?

    - a good start!

  • Isn't the point of law school you won't need a job anymore but be self-employed instead?

  • @Sniper2008009 Negative. The reason is... after you've been bent over the desk letting the law school take your a-hole for all it's worth in terms of student loans, no banker in their right mind would finance you a loan to go start your own practice. Law is serious work. It takes a lot of studious research. Starting your own practice would require hiring someone to do the research or access to westlaw or lexusnexus... look up the cost of a subscription to one of those. It's a big dirty scam.

  • It's about who you know not what you know. People who trust in academia should burn.

  • Maybe this law grad should spend his or her time searching for a job rather than putting bitter videos on YouTube.

  • There is so many of these videos about law school

  • Hmm there are an awful lot of these fake robot animation films about bitter lawschool student experiences. Under many different user names. Still, i'm under the impression that it is the same person over and over who makes this garbage. I understand you're bitter, but please stop wasting your time with THIS!

  • @veerleke Then stop watching them. Problem solved.

  • @veerleke there are a ton of law grads who make videos like this. definitely not just one. just look at jdu

  • Never going to law school, but I am going to get a useless environmental studies major.

  • I'm a 1L in a small 4-year evening program, not ABA approved but otherwise accredited by WASC and the State of Ca. I have already arranged work with the VA and several public services agencies. When I graduate another service agency will pay off my tuition due to my public service work. My entire tuition is $52,000, here in the city of San Francisco. Nobody ripping pages out of books or shivving classmates/competitors in the hallway. Sometimes your big fancy law school isn't worth it.

  • glad now I didn't go this route

  • @vivaloriflamme good for you, lawschool is such a scam. This video is soooo true.

  • Probably..the most genius s*** I've scene on YouTube..i'm learning so much and LMAO

  • very good similar to the video on my ChanL

  • totally false. Most firms, especially the big ones, have anti-nepotism rules in their bylaws or partnership agreement.

  • @JohnnysInaBodybag actually you are completly incorrect. Only the top law firms in the nation have anti-nepotism rules; Littler & Mendelson, Best & Krieger, Johnson etc., but the rest is basically who you know

  • Great video. So true about how many jobs at big firms are landed and how many law school graduates are turned into indentured servants slaving to pay off big loans.

When I'm asked about going to law school, I ask, “Would you like to practice law in a third world legal system?”

Being a lawyer is even worse than you can imagine. If you piss off a crooked judge or a connected attorney, you will be screwed. To see for yourself, Google: Justice in Florida Supreme Court documents missing.

  • Well I have never been a big fan of 8 am classes and isn't this the truth. I laughed my ass off. I do know a lot of people who smoke at school too, maybe there is a lesson there?

  • @kapsig1295 LOL half my lawschool class smoked pot, people you wouldn't even guess until you were blazin with them

  • Lord is that ever true.

  • that is so true. Its not what you know its who you know haha

  • Comment removed
