i dont understand why goodyear feels the need to bring a new tire to every track? why isnt there just a universal tire that is used? some please elaborate for me...

I know those tire issues occur every once in a while, but 2008 was simply a bad year for tires, Goodyear couldn't supply a decent one for Atlanta, Indy and Talladega, and perhaps for a few other tracks. There were a lot of tire issues in those races, glad that was a wakeup call for goodyear to get off their lazy asses and improve the tires so accidents like this would be very rare and prevent drivers from getting any injuries. I was VERY nervous and worried when he didn't step out of the car.

No he was not knocked out if u can listen it takes ur breath away so he was catching his breath and if in a wreck they are instructed to stay in the car until the safety crew's get their and to drop to window net to say they are okay...

@braidengodfrey1 Ok, I know the rules of Nascar..Trust me, I hvn't missed watching a race in over 7 years, but that was not your average "breath taken away" hit, I remember this race very well. He was put on a stretcher if you recall..precautionary or not..he was hurting + was Not all there for a bit, Denny is a very tough guy + for him to not drop the window net right away + just walk away, you know it was more than just losing his breath..I believe they even said later it was minor concussion.

@NismoFinder Definitely, if the safety measurements didn't take place, then he would have had serious injuries, instead of complaining how crappy the COT is, be thankful it has allowed drivers to walk away from crashes that looked even insurvivable.
