How do you feel about this jacket compared to say...the Alpinestars Tech 1-R?

@soap0688 They are both excellent jackets for sure. The RS Taichi GMX-Motion offers more perforation, comes with a removable windproof liner and the CE Certified KNOX Back Protector is included in the pocket. Truth be told you will be happy with either.

Hi I'm really interested in this or the other taichi jacket that's slightly less expensive. I'm 5'6-7 135lbs, what size would you recommend?

I'm 5' 8, 135lbs and am trying to gain some weight and was wondering what would be the best size for me 38 or 40US?

@wargreymon09 Go with the 38 as the 40 would work better in the 150 range. You don't want it too loose. If you gain some weight over time just sell it and get a new one. Everyone lovers this jacket and they are easy to sell

Which chest protector would work best with this jacket? The 1 piece plate or the 2 separate piece version?

Also would the taichi FICS Back Protector be a significant upgrade over the knox foam back protector

@mkang1986 The back protector that is in the jacket is on par so no worries there. For the chest I prefer a one piece as it provides coverage in the center where the two piece can not.

The green one looks great! its a shame there is not more green motorbike gear. If Taichi made some gloves in that same green I would buy!
