  • Message to all...tacp doesn't call in the airstrikes...jtag does but in order to become jtag you need at least 2 years tacp...

  • What is the route i have to take to become a combat controller?

  • @G3CK0117 Enlist in the Air Force, score high enough on the ASVAB (easy), put down Combat Controller as a career choice (make sure recruiter knows thats what u want), run, swim, and excercise like crazy, and pray you get picked. From there all you've got left is the hard part.

  • Does anyone know if, as a commissioned officer(hopefully), what would I do as a combat controller or TACP? Would I be on the field or would I just be planning out missions?

  • I cant wait to be a combat controller

  • My back hurts just watching this.

  • nice vid i want 2 b either combat control or a pj

  • WHY THE FUCK DOES EVERY MILITARY THINGY SAY THAT THEIR THE FIRST ONES IN?!?! IS IT THE RANGERS, THE MARINES OR THE FUCKING AIR FORCE COMBAT CONTROLLERS

  • @moonstrike5999 All of us have had our moments. It depends on what you're talking about. Typically full scale invasions are a bigger force such as Marines. Special Operations forces are more so for just that... special operations. In which they are the first in for extracting people of interest, or intelligence. That usually is followed by a full scale invasion to eliminate remaining hostiles. Then you have these guys, who if are put in first, are put there to destroy armament. Makes it easier.

  • @moonstrike5999 it is the combat controllers that are the first in. even their motto is "First there"

  • @moonstrike5999 its the CIA

  • Simple answer of TACP vs CCT

TACP: Works with conventional units such as the Army, after awhile and futher training they can work alongside with special operations units. TACP are trained to call in precision airstrikes but cannot control and land aircrafts.

CCT: These guys are Special Ops from training. They work with Navy SEALS, Rangers, SF, and other Special Ops units. Their main role is to be a ground Air Traffic Controller with a JTAC role of calling in airstrikes from Coalition aircraft.

  • Soo....do they carry weapons?

  • @20pwn20 yep, a few actually

  • he says his primary weapon is the 117F radio hahahhah

  • @jonvagnier

his primary weapon is his radio due to the fact he uses it to call in air strikes and the like which is one of the primary roles of a Combat Controller.

  • @RockTownRoller I thought calling in air strikes is the job of the guys from TACP? I'm a bit confused.

  • @mistergrin TACPs are usually working closely with the Army, and will call the bombs in for them. CCTs are more versatile and independent.

  • @fadedflage Thank you for clarifying that for me, Sir!

  • @jonvagnier Yeah cause on the other end of that radio is a multimillion dollar airframe with 2000lb bombs. It's all about having the friends in high places.

  • @jonvagnier no shit shirlock. They call in air support. pretty big fucking weapon

  • @jonvagnier YUP, that radio comes with BIG firepower behind it...I bet that radio has more kills than any Marine, or Army

  • @r3asons agreed!

  • @jonvagnier hell yeah man, they use it to call in artillery and air strikes. Can't exactly do that much damage with just small arms

  • primary weapon is a radio?

  • @rxtony05 To call in Air support! Better to have an attack helicopter than a M16

  • @TheMangoman86 I know... it was just funny to hear that. We brought tanks... what'd you bring... a radio. lol

  • @rxtony05 lol

  • orduni90, the Air Force has a policy that any Airman that will be doing joint ops will take the advanced army hand to hand(H2H)cource, as far as air force training obviously you get the run down in basic but as far as more advanced training i cant say with 100% certianty that all forward line jobs will get you H2H but if you do spec ops you will be trained

  • also, they are carrying radios because they call in air strikes which does a lot more damage than a grenade or an m4 would do.

  • @ImOnOne2 Say what?

  • i was in a spec ops flight in basic and out of 56 i think about 4 of those airmen are still going through indoc.. the others quit or got washed out.

  • i wonder do any Air Force special ops units get taught hand to hand combat? like at all? cause all the other special forces units are taught cqc...

  • Oxy? You're an idiot. CCT are attached to special operators from other branches. A single combat controller or single JTAC/TACP operator could do more damage in 24 hours to multiple targets then what the entire us army infantry could do in a week. Suck on that info.

  • @drothefuture Or us Infantry guys just use our Forward Observer... oh yeah he carries an 117f. JATC/TACP is cool as hell don't get me wrong. Don't forget that EVERY Infantryman in my squad is more than capable of calling for fire too... don't give yourself too much credit. We all need eachother out on the battlefield.

  • COD is an Artificial military simulator...No one should ever think that being a soldier is that easy as picking a controller and shooting..where you will re spawn after a hit...

  • @Arbin321 SecurityMC91 is right...I'm a C-130 loadmaster and I've been in training with Aerial Gunners and the best aerial gunning opportunity nowadays is on an HH-60 because the AC-130 all you are doin is reloading and trouble shooting

  • I wanna be a PJ, come the end of my senior year

  • hehe, where this guys has a pen, multitool or earplugs, the rest of the military has mags, grenades... it was funny =)

  • I LOVE how he's got earplugs and a multi-tool where M9 mags are supposed to go....He's such a badass!!

  • My friend ben was in the Civil Air Patrol the Auxiliary of the airforce went into the airforce with 2 strips because of the civil air patrol

  • hey guys im joining the air force soon but no one is giving me a clear answer to my question. i wanna be a gunner or pilot for the AC-130... what the heck do i have to do???

  • @Arbin321

Join an AFROTC program at your local college or university, go to field training, rock out, get a pilot slot, commission, go to UPT, get your wings! :)

  • @Arbin321 The job is called Aerial Gunner, don't join just because call of duty made it look cool. Just saying.

  • @Nitionx Yea i know i just wanna fight that all...

  • @Nitionx What's the difference between COD making it look cool, and videos like this looking cool?

  • @Aggiesgigem This video has nothing to do with my comment, your post is irrelevant.

  • @Arbin321 for starters you've got to have at least a bachelor's degree in an aeronautical related career field, then be accepted into either OTS or go through ROTC, or the AF Academy. As far as being a gunner on an AC-130, you've got to go the enlisted route for that. and believe me, it's not all it's cracked up to be. A gunner is more of a reloader...somebody else does the targeting.

  • @SecurityMC91 well thanks man for telling me but i was told even as an officer your allowed to have a combat job. in fact i know some cadets going to pararescue school.... unless they were lying

  • @Arbin321 you're allowed to do combat jobs as an officer. I was replying to you saying you want to be an AC-130 gunner or a pilot for the AC-130. The gunner's are enlisted and you HAVE to be an officer to be a pilot, that's all I was saying. But my suggestion would be to go for a combat job on the ground, AC-130 gunner's are pretty much just reloader's and the job gets old quick. Or so I've been told by one of my friends that is a former gunner.

  • @SecurityMC91 well hey man thanks for the info... if anything i might go for PJ or just combat control

  • when your primary weapon is a radio... your a badass

  • i was going to try and become a pj or cct but i got dropped for bad eyes but now im leaving to do T.A.C.P cant wait.

  • @skim4NJ so you got dropped from some spec ops jobs because of poor eye sight yet you're going to another spec ops job that requires at least 20/50 vision....hmm, are you sure?

  • what a fucking tool

  • @blackcell011 your mom had a nice tool between her legs

  • I don't understand.

Do Combat Controllers not carry weapons? All the videos I see they're not shooting or holding any weapons.

  • @jgq85 they would have weapons but only 2 or 3 of them would be using them at any one time.

  • @jgq85 yes. they carry m4s and maybe even SCARs if the team they're embedding with has them. when doing assault zones and air traffic control, it is often used more as a means of defense, but when they're kicking down doors with Rangers, SEALs, and SF, they're just another shooter. they are just as proficient with M4s as those guys, and are also trained on crew served and foreign weapons. this might sound corny, but they're best weapon is the radio. one CCT can take out hundreds with his radio.

  • Is there time to take classes and get a degree while in CCT?

  • Yea RIGHT!! Most SF can do 10x the damage they can. COUNTER TERRORISM. For example JSOC, a JSOC have stopped wars without firing a single round. Thet do tons of damage when they capture an enemy leader. If Bin Laden was caught By DEVGRU they did 1000x more damage to the enemies than a small airstrike.

  • Hey, could you maybe quit talking? You're an embarrassment.

  • @Duckmurderer

    Directed @Oxtayne

  • @Oxstayne CCT's are in JSOC they are one of the three disclosed S.M.U.'s. for Counter Terrorism. It's the 24th. Special tactics squad for the air force. Trying to get in the 24th. STS is about as tough as a ranger or GB trying to go 1st. S.F.O.D-D or a seal or navy EOD trying to join N.S.W.D.G. And trust me they are also highly trained ground combatants like other SF. Those SF guys you mentioned out there usually have at least one Combat controller with them whenever they go out.

  • @cincykid17 Yeah I already knew this..

  • @Oxstayne Apparently not. Otherwise you would have given CCT's more credit than you did.

  • @cincykid17 You're a fuckin' idiot.

  • @Oxstayne You're a chode!

  • haha sorry MrOutakontrol im american myself not all americans are dumb as dog shit like xxmafia101 just alot, take no notice.

  • mroutacontrol you should f off and die

  • Hooah.

  • these guys are BA there in there first and dont have much support there crazy

  • They forgot the main duties of CCTs... answering phones and paperwork!

  • @Seaprimate AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAH So right so right

  • Your separation slip......as you're functionally illiterate you've been "downsized". Now, please go with the nice security guard here to clean out your cubicle and hand in your mop, there's a good lad, don't make a scene, you'll be tazered again.

I'm sure you're familiar with that whole scenario, right lad ? You can sing along as you know all the words.

Pwned, have a nice day, come again.

  • Actually, I take it all back....they are all a splendid bunch of fellows ! I hear the SEALS are doing amazing things with colour these days, and the Rangers are absolute whizzes with fine needlework!

  • Jeezus fucking Christ man. You are so goddamned butthurt that yer STILL trying to message me about this shit when I'm not even paying attention to you and everyone that's seen me own you on this board is having their turn on you. Get over it man, I fucking humiliated you and I know it musta hurt so fuckin bad that you are bleeding from the asshole about it, but just go put yer high heels back on and keep playing to keyboard commando with some tubers that aren't so much smarter than you.

  • hahahahaa...nice try.

Got got complete pwned and now you're trying to make out it never happened.

You're in idiot, get over it....move on......your Denny's shift must start soon....hop to it boy!

  • @MrOutakontrol So you basically got exposed by me here on this comment thread and you've been throwing a fit about how angsty you are about it............then like the little simple teenager you are you basically copy what I just told you and regurgitate it to me in rather poor fashion........you really couldn't come any more weak. My feelings of disgust for you are now starting to turn to pity.

  • haha...ahhh man..are you still here ?.....let it go dude...move on...no-one believes you anyway. I think I hear your mother asking you to take out the garbage....better hop to it.

    You're a funny little guy...I like you !

  • Is this what you have to do for a life? Patroling special ops videos? Get a fucking life retard. You have to be only 12 years old to use PWNED as an actual word. Go back to Call of Duty. fucking child.

  • Hey bitch, if I had wanted the opinion of a spotty little teenaged fuck I would have TOLD you to post here, but I didn't, did I ?

So wipe that drool from your chin, put your daddy's Soldier Of Fortune magazines away and out those damn bins out before you get your ass whupped again!

If you hurry you can still make your shift at McDonalds too!

  • Well arn't you big and BAD! look, the kid is getting pissed off! Your from Australia! Your country military should not even kiss the ground that our special ops walk on. And assuming that I am a teenager, I would say that is what you are. Because a grown man would not behave in such a childish manner. Easy to put, you are a kid over the internet thinking he is tough shit. So come back and try again.

  • haha..you're a funny little guy, I like you !

So "mafia" boy.....got many headshots lately ?......worn out all the buttons on your XBox controller playing MW2 ?

Looks like a struck a nerve...ahhaha...loser. Go back to whacking off over a Tom Clancy novel. I mean, not your fault you're medically unfit to sign up, someone has to stay home and clean the Denny's, after all.

    Full marks for trying though!

  • It seems you are incabable of coming up with your own insults. Which by the way, are totally irrelevent. And judging by the lack of common sense you are the loser here. In your comments, you mentions Dennys, Mcdonalds, tom Clancy among others. The problem is, I do not engage in any of these activities. So once again, you have failed to insult me you ignorant austrailian.

  • hahahha...says you.

You're a clown and we all know it...now off you go, there's a good lad. I mean, you and your buddies here are still so fucking thick you just can't seem to get it......so I'll spell it all out for you one last time. It's a deliberate ploy to get a 'rise" from ignorant fucktards like yourself, and you fell for it, and continue to do so. Pretty much all the other posters here realise it's just a pointless argument, so get with the program, you bit and you bit hard. Let it go.

  • Get a life retard. Don't you have a job to go to you stupid Aussie?

  • You're not too bright, are you ? There's such a thing called a time difference as, and bear with me here, you're in one time zone and I'm in another !

Thus I might post something at say, 9pm local time, yet it miraculously appears to you like it's 10:00am where you are! Isn't that amazing ? Wipe away the drool, there's a good lad.

When you complete the fifth grade you'll no doubt learn of such things.

Please, no need for thanks, glad to help!

  • Did I say anything about different time zones? Exactly. You fucking moron. Come back and try again.

  • Australia was a prison colony created by the British. You're countries forefathers are rapists, robbers, and other complete fuckassed remnants of the worst people the British industrial revolution had to offer.

    Hey, just saying.

  • You're a funny little fellow son.... I like you :)

If you actually read your history books you'll find that a small minority of people got sent to Oz for stealing a loaf of bread because they couldn't send them to the USA anymore due to the Brits fighting the French there. Plus the US was filling up with lunatic religious nutcases the Europeans threw out during their civil wars. Of course, the US then went on to be populated by the drug addicted, murdering descendants of slavers. Pwned!

  • 10 points to anyone who can spot the reference here..........

Oh, unless the southern hillbilly red-state mouth breathers wish to chime in again ?

I'll even make it easier for you....it's from a british comedy show...late 70's........ get googling!...

  • Why airstrike guys are always being picked by CIA? Like Johnny Spann, Chip Tatum...Why?

  • The person down there said it right. SEALs, GB's, CCT, PJ, SOWT, MARSOC Etc etc etc...They all work together, PJ's have been apart of SEAL units, SEALs have done CSAR with PJ's, SOWT have been with GB's and Rangers. The military does not limit itself, it uses every asset it can to ensure mission success. If you truly wonder if they work together, go out for one of those units, the bickering back and forth is equivalent to Jarhead, Grunt, Squid and Flyboy, they pick at each other but thats it.

  • @ironmanss30 best way to describe it is "we kick because we care!" We WORK with eachother we LIVE with eachother we FIGHT with eachother and we DIE with eachother. We are brothers doenst matter what service if youre SF youre SF

  • Wow, that's an ignorant statement.

  • Yer a fucking joke boy. "You remember them in Nam?" Riiiiiight, and which video game was that that you were playing?

  • 'Nam......Khe Sanh, Tet, Eastertide......when I took that mission I knew right then that I'd never want another. Getting back on track, the "US Yankie Solja Boy GI" would always joke "Only two things come from Texas, steers and queers", then they'd descend into an orgy of butt flicking with their towels in the showers with the Det Bravo guys. Not being gay we just treated them with contempt, but hey, who's to judge ? Live and let live I say.

  • @MrOutakontrol "when I took that mission I knew right then that I'd never want another." Yeah but you didn't answer my question; what fucking video game were you playing when you fought IN A WAR THAT ENDED BEFORE YOU WERE EVEN FUCKING BORN?

And a word to the wise you worthless cowardly chicken shit clown mother fucker - When you go on the internet posting up lies about service in the special ops during Vietnam, don't put 33 as yer age on yer profile. fuckin moron.

  • Hmmm....now settle down you fucking idiot. I understand you're American, and even worse, from Texas, so I do realise you have the mental faculties usually associated with the retarded but even then, you're just way outclassed. It's a line from "Apocalypse Now" you shithead imbecile.

So, time to hit you with the clue-stick you peasant....it's all a wind-up to get fucking morons like you to "bite" ! Understand now? Just remember, we aren't laughing with you, we're laughing at you !

  • I am laughing at you. mroutofcontrol and that isn't how you spell control, spell correctly or dont spell at all.

  • Lol no really, i am laughing at you.

  • No you're not sonny...you're just making yourself look like a bigger and bigger dickhead, assuming such a thing is possible.

  • i seem to remember a little battle during WW2 in the Coral Sea where AMERICAN Navy ships and planes stopped the Japanese from invading your pissant island really what does Australian SAS do? sit around and chase kangaroos?

  • hahahhaha....ahhh..you're a fucking clown, aren't you ? Remember those French that saved your little asses from taking another giant reaming by the British ? Lets not forget the Canadians who burnt your fucking White House down.

You're obviously one of those inbred, intellectually challenged Southern trash that resulted from when the Europeans kicked out all their retards and morons and they sailed away to settle Louisiana.

US Special Forces?..haha..Special Needs more like it!

  • If you want to seize an HVT, then the SEALS are you guys.

If you want to rescue the SEAL who ended up with six 7.62x39mm rounds in his gut, behind enemy lines, then the PJs are you go to boys.

No SEAL would say that PJs are their equal in direct action.

However, the respect is high enough for what the PJs do, that I have heard stories about Green Berets giving up their seats at bars for PJs, down here in Lakewood (5 minutes from McChord AFB and Ft. Lewis).

  • @braveTOMINATOR wat r PJs?

  • @22pringle12 Para-rescue Jumpers you can read all about them on AF official website.

  • @22pringle12

PJs are Ir Force Pararescue Jumpers. They are a special operations unit of the Air Force that specializes in recovering wounded or stranded servicemen, particularly behind enemy lines or in active combat zones.

They're also sometimes referred to as "Rescue Rangers".

  • @braveTOMINATOR PJ's aren't stationed at McChord.

  • @braveTOMINATOR Good info TOM I think PJ is a good complement with other special forces.

  • Actually, I've met SEALS and I know for a fact that they're filled with pride and ignorance. He's right about them being a different capacity, however, since the Combat Controllers work with the Rangers and SEALS in missions, they have to do everything the Rangers and SEALS do. I specifically remember that Combat Controllers performed rescue missions with the Rangers. Make no mistake, USAF Combat Controllers are up there with the military elite.

  • @H3579A then they havent had the pleasure of working with us. which means that they havent seen action with the SF. which also means that they are prolly going to shit their pants when they see what we do.

  • if theres a big battle doesnt infintry go in first

  • special operations go in unoticed first to gather intel and such, then infantry go in, in other words infanty are the first to be publicly known to go in

  • Depends on the branch, Cav Scouts go in first in terms of the Army and they are not Special Operations..

  • Yep..well, after the hookers and dealers...they are ALWAYS first in when the US military is around.

Plus they're not as scared either.

  • It depends on the conflict. Your right for most engagements but recently it has been CCT that goes in first and takes out enemy airfields to convert them for our use before any other US forces hit the ground.

  • theres alot of shit beheind teh scences that you arent gonna see as a civilian and a solider in the us military so basically for all we know hes telling teh truth but no marines and army arent always teh frist ones in spec ops usally goes in frist

  • i guess i should have thought this through a little more any SF solider is going to be first into battle air or land

  • the thing that most people dont realize is that when a SF group infiltrate a hostile zone, they generally go together, as in a team of seals with maybe a CCT with them or even an Army Spec op. Very rarely do specific SF teams go in completely alone anymore.

  • I am joining the Army, but I'll have to disagree with you on that one. There are times when Army Airborne Infantries have to be dropped in a certain location...guess who flies through to locate if there are enemy presence at that location? AF..

  • i was thinking he would have a ownage load out but it was nerdy

  • when these guys do a mission, do they usually deploy in teams? or is it usually like 2 or 3 people doing the job together? because this guy doesn't look like he's with many people

  • i'm not sure how many people deploy, but it's a very small unit compared to other special forces units.

  • I believe they usually go into conflicts with other special forces teams. That's why they have to train in part of Navy SEAL and Army Ranger training.

  • They don't go through BUD/S, and they aren't required to go through Ranger School.

They do go through a drownproofing course run by the Air Force, which is hardly "SEAL training".

They are also required to go through Airborne School, which isn't Ranger training, its basic static-line parachute training. While the Rangers happen to do this too, it isn't a part of Ranger school.

  • They pretty much go through the same pipeline training as PJs do. They depart where CCTs are FAA certified controllers and PJs train in battlefield medicine. They're as fit, physically, as well. Check out the PAST test.

Contrary to your opinion, PJs have a fail rate of 90%. There are 300 PJs to a few thousand Seals. I'm not dissing our frogmen - believe me - but don't make rash comments about AFSOC.

  • I think you misunterstand my comment completely.

The U.S. Pararescue is possibly the best trained special operations force in the U.S. arsenal. I was merely pointing out that while they have similar capabilities as the Rangers or SEALs, (and many capabilities the Rangers and SEALs don't have) they don't go through Ranger or SEAL training. They have their own pipeline.

  • sounded like your initial comment was looking down on PJ and CCTs, but your right, they do go through diffrerent training where as their missions are different but never the less they are all lethal and all the absolute best.

  • It depends, thye move around alot. Sometimes you'll see them with what are called Special Tactics teams, this includes Combat Contollers, TACP personnel, and Pararescuemen. Other times you'll see them detached from what are called Special Forces "A Teams," (A couple of combat controllers assigned to a sqaud of green berets,) and a few (the most experienced of which,) assingned combined task forces like one's you see in the JSOC, (Working with DEVGRU, Delta, etc.)

  • Do they drive big, black vans and yell out 'Ahhh pity da poor fools!" while spraying down the baddies with their shiny AK's that always seem to miss ? I know all about that because, apart from 'Nam, I used to watch it on the tv! Hang on, wasn't one of them Starbuck too?

  • Wow, these guys remind me of the units called "ghosts" in starcraft.

  • fuck yeah love starcraft

  • how?

  • This is what I am going in for. I already know just by looking at the recommendations that it's going to be tough as shit. Like the guy said, "Very few make it." But I'm sure as hell willing to try.

  • yes about about that ive heard that 1 in 10 make it through the indoc course alone and just to give you a heads up if you ever are able to get into the 24th Special Tactics Squadron youll be working with Delta Force and the Navys version of them Devgru. in another way of putting it youll become a Tier One Operatour. GOOD LUCK BROTHER!

  • Thanks man, and thanks for the information. I'm sure I'll need more than luck to get through it all lol.

  • navy's version of DEVGRU...DEVGRU is navy its the new name for SEAL Team Six

  • Well if u are in training for CCT, get your ass off of youtube and go get in shape. Push run 10miles with a 40 lb ruck on, then go push a truck around a parking lot for a while, then hold a couple of 30 lb dumbbells out in front of you for about an hour. By that time you will be warmed up enough to really work out. LOL, The better shape you are in physically the easier it will be.

  • Believe me, my RO and I have been over that numerous times. He emphasizes the swimming more than anything though. Which is why I'm in the pool 3-4 times a week. I already weight-lift so maybe that's why he hasn't mentioned it a lot.

  • Combat Controllers are the most important yet least known Spec. Ops in the Military. What he said was right, they can do more damage than anybody else. One of these guys killed 3,500 taliban and 400 enemy vehicles by calling in airstrikes.

  • If there are any currently enlisted combat controllers, please contact me..

Im training for combat control and have a ton of questions for you.

    Thanks.

  • i'm an ex- pararescue trainee crossing into combat control. i washed out because i fractured my ankle. maybe i can help.

  • I like the way he put that at the end-i believe he's absolutely correct...

  • bad video for a badass group. These are the elite forces that went in first to Afghanistan to kick ass also that radio does more damage that any rifle cause it controls the air force's aircraft

  • Primary weapon = Radio

    WTF!!!!

  • Not sure if you know what these guys do but they use more then a radio buddy

  • I fully understand what they do..my comment was a joke, apparently not a very funny one

  • lol yeah its cool some people are just retarted and dont respect these guys because they dont know what they do

  • "I have a multi-tool"

    wow! cool!

    lmao..

Combat Control recruiting videos always suck!

  • try 2 and a half years...not 35 weeks...and if you think its going to be fun, your in for a suprise...its training..not fun..not till the later half...and now its called STTS not AST

  • haha i love the whos superior special ops arguements. Bottom line is Combat Controllers are highly trained, and they serve their purpose in the special ops community. Even more so, they serve this country and they do a damn good job. GOD Bless all servicemen and women!

  • Very true. One cant exist without the other to be honest. Every branch needs each other or else we would be fucked.

  • Hoofuckingrah.

  • Combattruk please go fuck yourself with your red softball hats and your phallic horse raping a tractor statues that you guys polish everyday your not digging ditches. You dirtboys are fucking tools compared to AFSOC operators.

  • im joining the airforce soon, been trying to figure out what career to follow, this one really interests me. does it translate to civilian careers though? gotta ask my recruiter

  • You become a certified air traffic controller during the program. That's a civilian job right there (and not a bad paying one either).

  • thanks, i've been researching the hell out of CCTs and air traffic control was the first job i wanted the second i thought about air force a while back. but i love to challenge myself and i love to be pushed to the limit.

  • Good luck joining the Air Force Academy. My cousin is a great guy: a leader in Civil Air Patrol, does summer camp leader stuff every summer, went through some boot camp, flew a few planes, 6'1", ran a half marathon, trained with a 50 lb backpack up the Colorado mountains for 3 miles for a week. He works out every day he can, and is an A+ college and high scool student. Knew how to field strip and shoot an M-16 and any standard handgun. He didn't make the Academy. Imagine coming out on top.

  • Well, you're cousin sounds...like you exaggerated, to be honest. come on now he didn't make it? why?

  • ColonelMarksman COULD YOUR COUSIN REALLY FIELD STRIP AN M16 AND A PISTOL AND COULD SHOOT THEM BUT HE DIDN'T GET ACCEPTED??????
