Seriously? This is the only DDR game for Wii that lets you play FULL SONGS. Just for that, it's far better than both Hottest Party 3 and DDR1. You get the full music video, and don't have to keep stopping as much (great for exercise!). The annoying "you are stepping on -/+ button" thing is easily turned off under options. Songs were more girl-focused so I can see why you didn't like the song list. I have two other DDR games and other than trying them out briefly, this is the only one I play!

btw, if you ever want a DDR game, Stepmania for the PC.

It's older so it'll run on pretty much any PC today (even budget PCs), it's free, and open source (So you can make it look like whatever you want, put whatever songs you want, etc.)

DDR is dead.

The peak of it was DDR 8th Mix (Extreme), and I mean the arcade and not the slaughtered US PS2 release.

Remember when DDR was all about songs like "Butterfly", "Boom Boom Dollar", "B4U", "Tsugaru" and all the cool eurobeat/jpop songs?

The fact that there's no Max 300/Maxx Unlimited/The Legend Of Max on this proves that this is a babyfied version of DDR.

a good review and to be honest I'm about to review this game as well...But I say this game is more for the hardcore DDR fans because a majority of the songs are from the arcade version of DDR X2 which was hyped up to being a great DDR arcade game next to DDR 8th Mix Extreme.

I'm actually going to have to disagree with the Wiiviewer. I thought the song selection in this title was one of the better ones of recent time. The original j-Pop compositions, as well as US pop music made it enjoyable. That said, I'm a teenager, so my music choices would differ largely.

@Synonymous52 yeah, the thing is that DDR goes with pop at the time, because there are lots of games. I think a lot of songs recently simply aren't as catchy and there isn't that much dance anymore. It's mostly ballad or rap. It's only the older artists that still have the same style that people like the Wiiviewr like, and I would have to agree. Even though I hear other people loving them every day, pop at the moment really isn't that good a selection.

You know, if they can get the licensing, I'd love Vocaloid songs in DDR. Butterfly on Your Right Shoulder, Shota Shota Fire Endless Night, Miracle Paint, Dancing Samurai, Meltdown, You and I'll Fly Away... Just songs like that, that are fun to dance to. Though, that's just my opinion. I'm sure others will disagree. c:

I used to love the DDR games. But then they started adding these shitty pop songs. Plus I got tired of the cheesy j-pop, If they came out with a DDR which had dubstep (real dubstep, Not shitty mt eden) and hardstyle then I'd like It.

How the hell did Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus songs get into this game? That warrants an automatic skip... yeah, Miley Cyrus isn't THAT bad, but Justin Bieber... yuck. Where's the j-pop that is supposed to be in the DDR games? You see a ton in the arcade versions of them, but you never see them in the home ports. What gives? That's the main thing that annoys me about the console DDR games.

i can see why you dont like the licences but the songs in ddr is what we wished to see come true. we get the most songs in ddr home version and basicly all the best(in the us). full versions are what set the game off entirely.

I think the reviewer was pretty harsh on this game, personally I think it's the best looking DDR for the Wii so far (they all look pretty bad whan compared to the arcade versions anyway), but this game is actually REALLY GOOD! The beginning songlist looks pretty dull and boring because it's just made of "top 40" music, but once the unlocks start to roll in, you'll see it has most of the DDRX2 (Arcade) new songs, which makes it a MUST if you are a long-time, hardcore DDR fan.

Wiiviewer, I need your advice. I have been looking for DDR Hottest Party 3 for a long time in Australia, yet I can't seem to find it or any other of the DDR (or Dancing Stage as they are called here) games anywhere. The only DDR games sold in Australia that I have the console to play are EuroMix, Disney Mix (do not want), Fever, MegaMix, Fusion and Hottest Party 1. If I have to go on eBay, which game would you suggest?
