okay u pretty much toned this amp to the worst possible sequence. what do i mean? lets see well boost(no) its suppused to be classic brit. use a pedal ptreferably a anlog or stereo pedal that is not digital for a retro sound. Retro is what this amp was geared too. and as for hi input fine but you dont need a;l that ressonance. its a half stack. and open the back of cab instead. also use thaat texture nob in middle. not so much pre amp. work the tubes by using eq and istortion or muf pedals

Also your tone needs work, and you need a better micing technique. Try right up the the speaker, but not right at the cone. That does nothing. An inch to the left of the cone should be good.

I would like to inform you on something boy. I was playing at a show once and the sound guy turned down the volume of my channel on the board and I still maintained the same volume. It wasn't just because the amp is a good amp. Its because of the tone was so rich, it pierced through the sound of the PA. The only thing that peavey has put out that has impressed me is the telecaster that they released recently. That guitar spanks. As for metal, I have a mesa boogie road king.

Three things... 1) The Peavey Windsor is a pretty darn cool sounding amp, especially for the low price. 2) The Windsor isn't the same thing as the 5150/6505 models. Where did you get that idea? 3) The Krank Distortus Maximus pedal rocks bigtime. Very nice pedal!
