@peterpulpitpounder Actually it is biblically to fall in the Spirit when the presence of God is present. You can read the story from the old testament where they were to dedicate the temple, and the cloud of God filled the temple in a such powerfull way that the priest could not stand on their feet, and could not continue to do their job. It is true what you say that revival is to repent and all that - AND as you say: worshiping God. God is longing for our worship - our hearts. :) Bless

What I long to see, this statement in direct relation to the IHOP Awakening services, is a people that will stop coming together calling this or that move after the major voice behind it, like Todd Bentley, and start coming strictly for the presence and power of God. I will be humble about this, especially as it relates to IHOP, but I cannot comprehend why a 'revival' would only happen on these days at specific times? When did God start keeping a schedule?

Let me clarify, however, that I saw many things at IHOP at first which somewhat disturbed me; prior to visiting IHOP I had never seen 'drunk' in the Spirit, but I nonetheless humbled myself and spoke like Gamaliel. Sure enough, God confirmed this 'drunkeness' in the beginning of Acts, and later on I experienced it myself. So I step back in regards to my opinion with the timing thing, but still don't see why there is a schedule to our revivals. And why do people think it is there voice leading?

i loved the worship at lakeland too. i loved to be known as a proud lover of Jesus, in public or private. its about INTIMACY. the worship fostered that type of spiritual atmosphere at lakeland. it was,in my opinion, a consecration movement. people tried to turn it into a healing movement but it was REALLY about intimacy. Bently getting baal tattoos,along with his adulterous relationship with the girl who was glued to him every minute of the "revival" & his carnal alcoholism was not a good thing

the worship at lakeland was awesome ! there was a hunger for God in the heart of the people. just cause todd bentley was sinning & personally believed in apostasy doesnt nullify all the beautiful worship that occured at lakeland ! the worship was passionate,intimate & refreshing. the people who led worship/did music there at lakeland were nothing like bentley. bentley was a carnal, heretical fool but wonderful people like heather clark, rick pino & catherine mullins had pure worshipping hearts

When we played the soundtrack in our meetings at home last year the roof lifted off. People were crying out to God in a way I hadn't heard them do before. I wasn't in Lakeland that night (at home in UK) but that worship set has become one of the most precious worship times I have known.

I totally agree with you! Too many people are stuck on tradition - the thing that is comfortable to them. I believe when we get out of our comfort zone, and get a real hunger for the presence of God and not things, we will see true revival come into our churches. I miss the revival, my hurt cries when i hear these songs, it was like a child taken to early. todd has a choice of being a david or a sual, either he will care too much of what the people say, and never shine with glistening oil in the lime lights, or he will say to himself he has sin against none other than God himself. ofcourse he will face the consequences of his actions like david, but there is forgiveness waiting here for him. lord bring the revival back, we need it so desperatley.

Read Exodus 32 to see an example of people who induldged in sensual worship - dedicated to GOD - and how the Lord destroyed them for their terrible sin. Aaron even proclaimed it "a feast unto the Lord." They offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. Yet God destroyed them for their "worship". It's not "anything goes" when it comes to worship. Only immature and carnal Christian would think that.

You need to read the chapter more carefully. They weren't trying to worship other gods! They clearly say, after making the golden calf, "these be thy gods which brought you up out of the land of Egypt." Aaron says, "this is a feast to the LORD."

They weren't stupid. They had seen the True God bring them out of Egypt, part the Red Sea. They just wanted to worship THAT God the same way the rest of the world worshipped THEIR gods. God doesn't accept it.

I was there on that Wed. night. This was one of the most amazing nights of my life when the worship continued. The Holy Spirit was anointing us in the front there with fresh oil and anointing that night. To everyone who hasn't been there, COME GET SOME!!!
