  • Wowzers @ Ashley. I want one...

  • It tri-boots:

    Iphone OS

    Console

    Android

Console for directly ineracting with bootroom.

  • I'm talking about iphodroid and none of his videos have shown it booting up after running the install. So no I haven't seen that video and I don't think any of them show that as far as I know. I assume it is dual boot but assumptions are the mother of all effe-ups.

  • @ayestyles omg!!!! do you write drivers no! his install works but you have to manually install openiboot for the time being!

  • @ayestyles @ayestyles yes! it is dual boot.... the NOR gets replaced by Open iBoot which is nothing different than a menu with 3 entries ... iPhone OS, Console, Android ... and yes, it even works on the 3G ... however, it is not ready for productive use yet as there is no power management in place yet...

  • @ayestyles actually, i have done this :)

  • So no one has asked the basic question, does this create a dual booting iphone or does this replace the iphone OS?

  • @ayestyles uh isn't obvious? dual boot

  • @ayestyles it's dualboot dumbass, haven't you seen planetbeing's video?

  • Hahahhahahaahahh this is hilarious. "Tethering and multitasking"

I had that on my iPhone like 4 years ago lol. Backgrounder and mywii.

  • Yeah booeeeyyy :-) it was lots of fun to do this video! I hope to guest co-host and provide comedy relief at my own expense whenever, yo!

  • How comes this video is sort of hard to find?

    /

Wouldn't it be better that it is promoted by YouTube since it actually is based on android topics which is owned by google.

  • what about android for 3gs?

  • @myselfmiky

Not possible at this point in time, possibly never. I don't think anyone is even working on it.

The main reason this works on a 2g/3g iphone (apart from them being almost identical chipsets) is that there are low level (iboot) vulnerabilities that allow this.

The 3gs has a new chipset (cpu, gpu, etc), and there is currently no iboot-level vulnerability released for the new bootroms (found in the iphone 3gs and itouch 3g).

  • @myselfmiky what about android for iPhone 4? its all coming..

  • I WANT ANDROID FOR IPOD TOUCH 1G!

  • @MarcRevenge its already possible fool

  • planet glad your not MIA anymore- good man xD

  • planetbeing is win

  • great David Wang

    a hero

  • WHat do you mean they are taking developers "hostage"? Developers are free to develop for whatever platform they want. If you want to write for the iPhone, do it in Obj-C. Want to do android, do Java. Simple.

The host is really really naive and is just spreading FUD.
