I'm talking about iphodroid and none of his videos have shown it booting up after running the install. So no I haven't seen that video and I don't think any of them show that as far as I know. I assume it is dual boot but assumptions are the mother of all effe-ups.
@ayestyles@ayestyles yes! it is dual boot.... the NOR gets replaced by Open iBoot which is nothing different than a menu with 3 entries ... iPhone OS, Console, Android ... and yes, it even works on the 3G ... however, it is not ready for productive use yet as there is no power management in place yet...
Not possible at this point in time, possibly never. I don't think anyone is even working on it.
The main reason this works on a 2g/3g iphone (apart from them being almost identical chipsets) is that there are low level (iboot) vulnerabilities that allow this.
The 3gs has a new chipset (cpu, gpu, etc), and there is currently no iboot-level vulnerability released for the new bootroms (found in the iphone 3gs and itouch 3g).
WHat do you mean they are taking developers "hostage"? Developers are free to develop for whatever platform they want. If you want to write for the iPhone, do it in Obj-C. Want to do android, do Java. Simple.
The host is really really naive and is just spreading FUD.
Wowzers @ Ashley. I want one...

How comes this video is sort of hard to find?

Wouldn't it be better that it is promoted by YouTube since it actually is based on android topics which is owned by google.
