you guys no that there is a standard controller just like the old ones that you can buy and hook up to the remote right??? and for the other games where you actually move alot they have another control that can also hook up to the remote which is just like a joy stick thing.
you guys are just a bunch of haters. The system looks live as hell. and besides. wii can make you lose weight when your jumping around like a "jackass.."
i think only very few games can be fun with this controller. fighting, shooting, and sports games i cant immagine being more entertaining than with the old contorllers.

People keep saying "You have to jump around like a jackass" but have you actually PLAYED the Wii? I've been lucky enough to play Zelda: TP for long enough to tell that the jumping around that is in the commercials and our minds isn't really necessary. All you need to do is shake the controller a LITTLE BIT, which you can do sitting down and in normal position. It's not something that's going to get you anymore tired than playing on normal consoles.
I can't wait for the Wii. In my opinion, it's a great additional system. I have a super beefed up computer to play my graphic intensive games. The wii is different in the same way that makes me enjoy picking up my DS rather then PSP. It's a new, fun way to play games. Maybe not always for the hardcore crowd, but they're great pick up and play games! =]
That controller looks down-right counter-intuitive. I remember getting one of those microsoft sidewinder gamepads, 'cause I thought motion sensing was friggin awesome - I quickly got fed up with it, and used it in "standard" mode. There's something about extreme wrist usage which I find fatiguing in a game controller...

This new controller could go either way. It's either going to be a huge smash or a total flop. I always liked how Nintendo is so experimental with their equipment, but the problem is sometimes experiments backfire.
When I very first saw this I thought oh no what have Nintendo done but there's more options available with this controller compared to the present Gamecube controller.
If the Wii goes against the Xbox360 and PS3 well it's not gonna win because raw CPU horsepower will win and Nintendo are not very good as advertising there products especially outside the US or Japan. I know I live in Europe!

everyone looks so silly playing it (honestly, it seems rather unwieldy in my opinion), but the graphics compensate.
uh, maybe not - unless you can use substitute standard game
controllers for those awkward remote accessories, i don't think i'd
be interested
