Yes, certainly unlucky with injury BUT so have many others such as Moody, Sheridan etc. etc. who the selectors have regularly stuck with. JSD is one of the great rugby players and it's unbelievable that the learned men can even imagine that the likes of (never score) Cueto, Banana man, and Monya are better.
@KITCHENOFDISTINCTION 100% agree. One of the great England rugby travesties that England never stuck with JSD. Considering some of the dead wood we've had at 12/13 in the last 5 years.
He's quotes in a Telegraph article recently as saying that Brian Smith has been in touch to say that he's on the radar for the summer tour. Really hope he gets a chance.
Simbad wont forefill his potential in a glosdur shirt. I remember him running the length of the pitch and getting on the outside shoulder of merciron for an easy pass....and merciron cut inside and got nailed-simbad should go to a team that can play expansive-Quins. Then the little fella will play for England
Feel so sorry for this guy. He looked s threatening at centre at that time, and what a formidable back 3 for England we have Sinbad-Sackey-Tait/ Ben Foden/ Nick Abandenon
we the rgs trashed stonyhurst...outscrummage and out fucking played em, sedbergh and sinbads brother are a very good side, shame they lost to millfield eh :P
Someone please tell me why Cipriani isn't playin fullback instead of that clown Balshaw? He can kick, has more pace, played there in the HE final, and is just a better all-round player!!! Typical old Bath-boys network me thinks!!
id love to know where all the balshaw hate has come from! apart from 1 charged down kick, whats he done wrong for england so far?
us glos fans who watch him week in and week out will, mostly, defend his inclusion, because he has been a major part of the fact we are top of the league and still in the heineken cup!
cipriani is overrated AND more of a fly half than a full back! until chris ashton and olly morgan are fit and ready to go, balsh is our best option!
Because even Gatland said before the Wales game that theywere gonna target him! To be fair attack wise he is a threat, but his kickin out of hand is abysmal, either Brown or Cipriani should be in there, obviously he's a natural flyhalf, but there not gonna drop tortoise Wilkinson are they?
Yep, I've got the whole game. I'll put Forrester's one on soon and maybe post a video with all the tries at a later date (there was a cracking one from Steve Thompson as well).
Nope, he never did. That stat was made up. I spent a week with the All Blacks about 7 years ago when he was at his peak, at their training camp in the Tri Nations. He was quick but not that quick.
not only did he put lomu to shame, but also cullen, one of the greatest running fullbacks of all time, sinbad you god!

i remember i was at that match...why oh why has simpson daniel not been playing for england for the past six years??
stevensmtd 2 years ago 9
I was there too - his rounding of Lomu remains one of the greatest moments I've seen at a live game.
He's been unlucky with injuries, and with the fact that no coach after Woodward seems to have been able to appreciate what he offers.

To be fair Lomu was finished, too far past his prime

cause Hingerland don't have a specialist full back who isn't injured cept Abendanon from Barf and Mike Brown at Quins.
Besides, its not Cipriani, its Crapriani

Lomu was never that quick anyway, but to beat Cullen to the corner flag...!
Now we just need to send this link to Brian Ashton.
