Ahem where was my shoutout??!!! ahaha ;) just kidding! GREAT haul and thanks sooo much for reading and reviewing everything! :D DONT STOP MAKING THEM!!
The absolutely true diary of a part-time indian is SO good. The cartoons put me off at first but i loved the read.I GOT it from school, at a FREE book fair. amazing.
Haha wait I just have to add this in, Priscilla, my brother came into the room and I said "Isn't Priscilla sexy?" and my brother looks at you and goes "Ohhh yessss" XD
My goodness, could you possibly be any cuter? Hehe! I would totally watch a 10 minute video of you just rambling about the setting and the weather, especially if it had more of those gorgeous giggles like you did. I have been trying to get into reading and still I haven't read enough. What must I do? I don't even belong as a subscriber :(
The Perks Of Being A Wallflower is amazing! One of my top favorite reads of all time! I Can't wait to see what you think of it! Seems like a pretty good selection you have! -marissa
Those are some awesome books! I've only read Speak, but I'm interested to hear what you have to say about the others.
That's also so cool of you to shout out to other channels! Have you ever checked out KatesBookClub? She has the coolest videos! She uses a green screen or something and has these fancy backgrounds to her videos! It's so cool!
Ah, I remember the Speak hype last year. I didn't get to read it, my copy is floating somewhere around my pile of books in my room but I watched the movie. Powerful stuff.
I had no idea the HG thing was a "teaser" trailer, I heard it was suppose to be the official trailer. I was like "gahhhh.... what is this?!" lol!
I love your shirt and this haul was great! I totally LOVE Speak and The Perks of Being A Wallflower. I didn't have Catcher in the Rye in my curriculum either (it wasn't banned, we just never read it.) and I should probably read it sometime.. have a great day Priscilla!

Stacy and I were at Borders and two of the books you got in this haul were still sitting there right next to each other and we were like WHOA! :) Can't wait to see what you think of everything! :)
yay great haul Pricilla loving the concept/theme , I read speak around 4 yrs ago when I wasn't into reading and it was quite good , had to read it for school :/, I also really want to read the perks of being a wallflower :D maybe because of Emma Watson. I think there also making a movie on catcher & the rye with Leo dicaprio , I think it's gonna be out next year ... enjoy reading!! xx
Speak is a great book. I wouldn't bother with the movie until after you've read the book. I have a pin that says "Everything important about life I've learned from reading banned books", I have it pinned on my nametag at work (I work at Barnes & Noble). :D
I often wonder why people want to ban books and who is doing the challenging. It makes me mad that people would even want to ban books. I mean even american psycho is rated R18+ and jeeze. Let people have there freedom, the worlds already dominated enough as it is. I could slap anyone who wants ban speak.
Gaw, Priscilla - bless your pretty, sassy cotton socks!! Thankyou very much for the shoutout, you are far too kind. HUGE HUGS.
Oooooh, very good themes for this month. I do hope you love 'Speak', though I can't imagine anyone not being impressed and moved by that novel. Especially if you have the 10th anniversary edition, because the bonus material included is just extra emotionally involving.
OOOMMMGGG I LOVE THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER!!!!!!!!! It's like my FAVORITE book! I really like Speak too and I wanna read the absolutely true diary of a part time Indian so I'm looking forward to UR review to see if I should but I really love the perks!!!! I just home that movie doesn't ruin the whole thing!!
Thank you! I loved the teaser trailer. It was more of a sneak peek I mean like I think the whole purpose of that and it being during the VMA's was because they wanted to get people who didn't know about it to get curious about the movie. I mean to us fans we know what part it is and what it's all about. But to those who don't know they're like .... what is this I must know. Plus they're not done filming and it comes out March. We'll get trailers soon =D
The Absolutely True Diary of Part Time Indian just got added to my To-Read list :)
I checked out the banned/challenged listed and was suprised to see several books on there that I have read and saw no problems with. One that really suprised me was the Junie B. Jones series (#71)...I can't think of why it would be on the list at all.
The Catcher in the Rye is my all time favorite book. This is the book that made me love reading about teen angst. This is definitely Salinger's masterpiece. Holden Caulfield is my favorite literary character of all time.
I agree about the trailer. So many people are complaining about it how it doesn't give you anything. But in my head I was like ... "its supposed to be a teaser, guys."
Banned books is a fabrication by a community of hardcore bookworms; it's a way of letting everyone in the cosmos of reading know that they're awesome books....and a way of increasing the literacy level in the world. That's why so many people read them. :p
I was lucky enough to be close friends with my school's librarian when TPOBAW was banned from our library, so she just gave me the only copy they had. I waited until after graduating to read it, and boy, it sucked. Speak was awesome though. :)
I had to read Catcher In The Rye in the 10th grade and I read Speak in college just for fun. I did like both, but I think I didn't like Catcher In The Rye as much as I think I could have because I was required to read it. Being forced to read a book for a grade in a class turns me off of the book most of the time
I read the catcher in the rye and speak in school! Didn't really enjoy catcher in the rye ,but Loved Speak. Also I really loved the Hunger Games Teaser. I thought it was really good, especially the gale voice over!!

I really enjoyed the teaser trailer as well. I thought everyone loved it, but then I came on here and went on Twitter and apparently a lot of people thought it was bad. I loved the fire, and Katniss running through the woods. And the arrow shooting was really well done as well.
Thank you so much for mentioning me, Priscilla! :) The Catcher in the Rye is excellent, I hope you enjoy it. Speak is great as well. I have The Perks of Being a Wallflower on my bookshelf, yet I haven't read it yet.
I love your Booktuber Spotlights! I'm new to the book community, so it really helps me find some other great Booktubers out there. Nice haul, Miss Priscilla! :)
As someone who is currently in library school I. Love. This. Haul!!!
You picked some books that I want to read. The only one from this haul I've read is Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, but it was wonderful. Looking forward to your reviews in September!
Oh my goodness, I don't want to sound stupid but haven't people said that catcher in the rye has been linked to a lot of serial killers and stuff like that?? Haha idk if I'm talking about the right book
Speak and Catcher in the Rye are great. :] I have that version of CITR and I don't know why it doesn't have a description on the back, but I'm sure you'll like it. :] I need to check out The Perks of Being a Wallflower, I've been seeing it everywhere! Great haul!
Hmm I've read 3/4 of those and I didn't know that they were considered banned/challenged. I've actually never read The Catcher in the Rye. I loved Sherma Alexie's and Stephen Chbosky's books. Didn't quite enjoy Speak though. Maybe you'll enjoy it more than I did (:
Perks! <3 You will LOVE that book. It is an extremely deep and powerful book. Speak is also really great too! It is a very deep issue too. Hope you enjoy all of them! I think I am going to post my own intro onto my channel this weekend! I am nervous and excited at the same time! LOL
I want to sub to your videos, but you just talk to much in the beginning of them. No offense, but I clicked on the video to see/hear about what new stuff you've got, but you spend like 3 minutes talking about other stuff *sad face*
"The Catcher In the Rye" is beyond amazing and it's a quick read (even though I'm a slooow reader, I finished it in 2 days). It's a strange story, but it actually makes perfect sense! Just as a sidenote, you won't find out the meaning of the title until the very last few pages.
Ahh, I'm so excited you're reading 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower'! It's my all-time favourite book, almost life-changing for me (even though I don't really like saying that because it sounds cheesy haha). I hope you love it as much as I did!

Love the theme this month! Awesome awesome! My school actually reads Speak for a novel study class. I am also loving the shout outs to other booktubers, I am getting introduced to so many cool people haha!
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is one of my favourite books!! I really hope you will enjoy it. :) Speak is also very good, but I haven't read it since I was in Grade 8 so... 9 years ago? It's been awhile! But I remember really liking it then.
