Rookies was our go to shop when my buddy and I went to Amsterdam. There was always a place to sit and roll up which was a problem since most shops are really small. Coffee was top notch and the greens were great, the first and last place we smoked.
im going to amsterdam in a phew weeks and i was wondering if there was anyway that i cud get bud at a coffeeshop,, what i mean is if its completely illegal for minors or some coffeshops would allow u if ur (cool) and convince em?
@UnreliablySexy It's very important for coffeeshops not to allow entry to anyone who is under 18. The coffeeshops are under very strict regulations and they could be shut down very easily. Coffeeshops do check passports to ensure this.

@phishinvan That is correct. No coffeeshops are allowed to serve alcohol anymore. However there are some bars that are smoker friendly. Off the top of my head I know Cocos Outback at Rembrandtplein is smoker friendly, Barney's Uptown, and The Last Waterhole as well.
@adventuresineurope Also next to "Rick's coffeeshop" There is Rick's bar which is also smoker friendly. I checked it out last time I walked there and enjoyed myself. There were alot of friendly people there when I came in.
hi i'm going to amsterdam in a week and am staying in the rookies, do you know if the 5gram limit is per sale or per day, as in could you buy 5 grams then go back later that day and buy more?
@hutchua Hello friend, coffeeshops are allowed to sell up to 5 grams a person per day. They could face severe penalties if they were to sell more than that. Enjoy your time at the Rookies, it is a great shop with a great owner.

Truth is, that many kids get weed from dealers, or people coming out of the coffeeshops. You could get some that way but i woudn't count on it when deciding wether you should or shouldn't go to holland.
after watching many of the adventures in europe videos, it's clear, the world needs to follow the amsterdam example, why someone can kill themselves in the army, drink, smoke, take harmful legal substitutes, and make weed illegal compared to all this, i will never know.

@eimajbackwards Airfare can vary widely, it's best to find a sale fare. Hotel can cost around 100 euros per night or even less at a budget hotel. Spending 50-100 euros a day should take care of things.

@Microphonechecka2 you are allowed to right now , but a month ago or so they voted a new law that lets the maire of the city to limit the selling of cannabis to residents.Now its up to the city's important people to make elections about it . That restriction is already active in maastricht and other cities and towns near borders ; personally i think that will never get to amsterdam because of all the economy around it ,but still , they can restrict it anytime

@Saarcaa My guess would be that your blood sugar was low for some reason or other. Also the weed could have been particularly strong and you smoked more than you are use to... a couple of thoughts

You simply get a different stone from smoking different types of either weed or hash !
In other words if you smoke a haze compared to white widow or some other indica dominant plant you will feel high compared to being "stuck to the couch" and the same is true for smoking pollem (pollen) as compared to ice-o-lator!

@MostWantedStudi0s well most people sit back and chill with joints or blunts (blunts last longer and the tobacco makes the high longer some people say). Bongs are more for like big hits in one go. Just see whatever works best for you.

@wasabied Yes, most shops do have pre-rolled. Some are with tobacco so make sure you select the one you want. "Pure" joints do not have tobacco. Many shops have bongs for you to use as well, some have vaporizers. Enjoy your trip.. D

You simply get a different stone from smoking different types of either weed or hash !
In other words if you smoke a haze compared to white widow or some other indica dominant plant you will feel high compared to being "stuck to the couch" and the same is true for smoking pollem (pollen) as compared to ice-o-lator!

@TheLeftHandBandit In all fairness THC is THC where ever it comes from.All that makes a difference is the THC content. The higher the more wrecked you get. I can not honestly say that different types effect me in different ways.theres one buzz for me and its the same whatever.

@MostWantedStudi0s well most people sit back and chill with joints or blunts (blunts last longer and the tobacco makes the high longer some people say). Bongs are more for like big hits in one go. Just see whatever works best for you.

I've been to the Rookies every day of my trip. Very chill atmosphere, nice people and a good menu! Amnesia Haze was my personal favorite. I'll be back to Rookies on October 7th!! Can't wait!

I love to hang out at Rookies...Not always the best weed in the Dam but definately plenty of room to hang and smoke!! I'm a tobacco user but this is one of the places that i'm glad is tobacco free because the ashtrays would be overflowing with butts...not roaches!!

@wasabied Yes, most shops do have pre-rolled. Some are with tobacco so make sure you select the one you want. "Pure" joints do not have tobacco. Many shops have bongs for you to use as well, some have vaporizers. Enjoy your trip.. D

@Cache069 For tobacco smoking you must sit in the designated area within the coffeeshop and yes you can buy and fly. You can smoke on the street as long as you keep a low pro... D

Going to Amsterdam in 4 days! is there any coffe shops at you CAN smoke tobacco in? please, call me crazy but i live in Scotland and doubt my throat will be able to take the dutchy spliffs.
