  • I am almost cured. the doctors won't agree that medication is unnecessary. i am under the influence of Abilify, the doctors and Lamictal + 600mg lithium. I am also 5 years into a recovery program. Nothing has worked as well as the 12 steps.

  • Under hypnosis humans actually will develop a blister from holding a pencil eraser to thier arm if they think its light ciggareet. All theses emotional deseases have been invented so we all think our emotion(especially negative ones) are sickness. Science is proving that DNA reacts to our beleif system. You want to be healed? Look inside yourself,,,see what makes you tick,,where do your opinions stem from? "Know thyself" "Heal thyself and you shall heal the world."

  • Saaaayyy.. did you know psychiatry came out of a secret forrest up North where all the elfs... gnomes... and trolls live.. learning to trim typewriters. It's a program to shut down the consciousness. No reason to kill yourself.

  • the woman who sufferred from depression/bipolar in all these videos does not have enough discipline to speak with professors. i think she would gain alot from taking some Introduction to Psych courses, and to lose her ego and embrace the knowledge to fill her cup with it, she can help people more effectively that way instead fo just speaking of her own experience constantly, which honestly is a bit egotistical, especially to other sufferers I bet (at least that's my OWN experience).

  • @tyrannicoystercult egotistical ?? i'm not sure why you think that, other than to say that you yourself are egotistical / jealous .... peace.

  • @TheGreatDissolve it's a personality trait related to refusing the advice and input of others, unless it supports the ego's whims and helps you get your way. kind of a central aspect of many disorders. i admire the stuff she adds at times, just dont think she gains credibility by dismissing and refusing to actually engage with research. instead, she can use the learn and use the existing paradigms to strengthen her position. i personally agree strongly in self-diagnosis, but its not for everyone

  • @tyrannicoystercult A person can only really speak from their own perspective, so what do you expect her to say? To just talk about other people not relate her own journey? We each go through life behind our own eyes -- that's what it means to live as an individual. I don't feel Anna Miller is being egotistical, but rather speaking from her own experience while trying to let others know that alternative perspectives to pop psychology and modern life exist than the conformist vision peddled.

  • @dsmfishgal conformism and synthesizing knowledge are sides of the same coin.. learning from others and putting effort in is a key part of getting anything out of treatment or schooling that she pursued but didnt become satisfied or healed by. what i meant was a bit technical or lacking in emotion, but was constructive criticism for anyone in any medical or school system - people i know who work with high schoolers face these same problems of student malaise that lead to problems for the student

  • Fisrt of all thank you for making this video. I am bi-polar in 1993 I went to coulples consuling and the thearapist suggested I take prozak I now know I was not deppressed then. Later when I went off prozak is when I started to see and here things. I was a very succussful salesman with a near perfect life a this point. I didn't realize what was happening to me I remember one night looking at my wife and her teeth looked very strange. there is not enough room to explain everything I am just know

  • @tbaronn777 Sue your therapist. No1 should be prescribed Prozac for Bipolar. But a catch is, were you diagnosed with Bipolar? Cz there's always a misdiag. the 1st time & they start treating for just depression or they even go straight for schizo if you're type1. Anti-depressants (like Prozac) without stabilizers make episodes become more pronounced & severe with frequent switches. Pretty soon you start seeing & hearing stuff. So yeah, they screw you up & then they tell you it's not curable.
