I just received word that hospice has been called in for my 93 year old mother. A friend recommended this song and it is absolutely perfect for my mother. She has been my angel for almost 62 years. It is comforting to know that as she completes her journey she is headed to Heaven to sit at the feet of Jesus.
Mom got a new address last week-HEAVEN. My daughter just heard this on the radio and found this site. I only have 1 Christmas CD by Steven Curtis Chapman-just checked and found this CD-1995. Blew off the dust, and you can bet it will be a favorite this Christmas 2011.

I have always loved this song since I purchased the CD many years ago. However, it became VERY personal three years ago. This will be the third Christmas without my dad and the second one without my grandma. Praise God that I know they, along with many other loved ones will be celebrating at home WITH Jesus! My mother passed away on the 31st of December 2000. She was on hospice and at home on Christmas Day. It was the saddest Christmas because everyone was saying goodbye. About 30 min. of her passing away it started to snow. She used to always tell me that when it rained it meant an angel got their wings. I felt such a comfort because she must of gotten wings of gold. I miss her but I know there is no place she would rather be. Miss you and love you mom.

My mom lost both of her grandmas within 8 weeks of eachother. It was a really hard 2 1/2 months. Also my aunt lost one of her grandmas too. I'm so sorry for everyone that lost someone this year. It will be seven years this Christmas since my grandmother passed away. She was just like Steven Curtis Chapman's grandmother when it came to Christmas. It was her day. Now she's celebrating it in heaven and I can't wait to celebrate Christmas with her again someday.
This song is perfect for me this year. My grandma passed away 6 weeks ago. Leading up to her death she was moved "to a place where they could watch her night and day" and she too knew she wouldn't be around for Christmas this year. She always held Christmas dinner at her house and threw the greatest get-togethers. It won't feel like Christmas without her here, but I know she'll be singing with the angels in heaven. Singing was one of her favorite things. And someday I'll see her again.

I was on my way home from my mom's funeral when I heard this song on K-love. I could not hear a more perfect song at that moment, I absolutely fell in love with it. It describes my mom, she was always ready to get her family together for a party!! She's singing and dancing now, of that I'm sure.

I lost my Grandma on 12/06/06. She lived for Christmas and her last conversation with me was about the gifts she was planning to buy for my children.
It's been so difficult to celebrate this holiday without her. I am so glad to know that I will be with her again one day.
