I'm white and Christianity scares me. I find it to be quite a dark religion. There are such things in the bible like 'If I lie may God strike me down' and if you don't believe in God or Jesus you will go to Hell! It's like they are scaring you to become a Christian. If I made a documentary about what happened when the Romans came to Britain and rubbed out the native religion, indoctrinated the people and totally changed the culture, I suppose it might be rather like this. Wow. This went from being a lesson to all about what the Native Americans went through to being a hate area. I'm almost full blooded and very proud of my heritage. My grandfather taught me a lot about our people, including the spiritual side and our values. The only thing I can say to Latte is that since you know nothing or our religion then you shouldn't be saying so much. We believe in One Creator. There are such things in the bible like 'If I lie may God strike me down' and if you don't believe in God or Jesus you will go to Hell! It's like they are scaring you to become a Christian. Moose I did not put your religion down - LL is the one being terrible not you. I have Christian friends and do not like how people such as LL use it as an excuse for murder and rape of children - this was not 400 years ago - in Canada in went on up until the 1980's and there are still 50,000 children still missing. That will never happen. The native Americans will never allow themselves to be assimilated. How would you have liked it if the native Americans came over to Europe, massacred 95% of your population, prohibited your religion, forced you to learn their languages, their way of life, etc, etc. The native Americans will get their day, the Republic of Lakotah is just the beginning of that. If I made a documentary about what happened when the Romans came to Britain and rubbed out the native religion, indoctrinated the people and totally changed the culture, I suppose it might be rather like this. Just like the tribes in Britain at the time of the Romans the native Americans were not living in never never land being nice to each other and respecting nature. They were hard people forged in a harsh environment with the pros and cons we all share as a species.

I personally wished my anscestors stayed in Europe, and Norway. And I have heart felt sorrow for the native americans that were forced off their lands and put through a living hell untill this day. I find arrowheads now and then when I dig Around my garden and when we made my walkway....I jsut get a sad feeling then promise to keep the land clean and do my best with it because they cant..honor their noble memory.. cheers totuket tribe, thats who lived here.

Sadly the things that she shows in this clip arent exaggerations they did happen countless of times. Unfortunately many people do not know about the boarding schools and other cruel institutions that sought to erase the collective memories of Native Americans. I also heard stories about people who had soap literally put shoved down their mouths for speaking in their languages.
