Kombucha is the drink that put me on the path to health. After 2 years of chronic fatigue, Kombucha was the drink that started the detox. It's a powerful drink!

I keep a batch of kombucha growing in my kitchen all the time (and like he said- out of the sun). I do believe that it is a medicinal and should not be consumed like regular tea. There are a lot of healthy teas - so everything in moderation is the rule. The beauty of it is you can keep a batch for 6 months and if will get a thick mushroom but still be good for making a fresh batch. You can soak your tired stinky feet in the vinegar that you have made.
people have been drinkin this stuff for thousands of year, not hearing a lot of kombucha related problems.

Wow, according to this then I must have a ton of problems. Kombucha helped my digestion when I was having digestive problems. I would crave kombucha when I had indigestion and it helped the food get out of my stomach faster than if I didn't drink it. So I started sipping it with larger meals. I did feel better while drinking it, and I don't think everything that is craved is bad for you. sometimes we crave things that have nutrients we lack, or help to relieve imbalances.

Slayemachete, your right bacteria does not eat alcohol.I agree with the blueberries too. I think he's using the wrong words. However, alcohol once consumed turns to sugar therefore it becomes food for bacteria and candida to feed off. (alcohol turned sugar).. My suggestion: "Ask yourself why am I drinking kombucha?' Should I be drinking water kefir?
"Craving" something means that your body wants it. Now that is not always a good thing, but there have been times when I was sick that I craved blueberries something fierce. Are you saying blueberries may be bad for you?
Also, bacteria DO NOT EAT ALCOHOL. Yeast consumes sugar, and turns it into alcohol.
Before you slam my comment, research these commonly known facts.

@WilliamBroichYAY No, its not actually an alcoholic drink(if brewed right), the amounts of alcohol in store bought brands is so low that it is not considered alcoholic.
You said you were buying it when it first came out. That was in East Asia around 200 b.c. You couldn't even be old enough to drink it with the Russians, 50 years ago, during their recent kombucha craze (we can also bring up their very low cancer rate, of that time). Good Night, man!
He said ostapenia... I think he's saying he has a small johnson. He's definetly a friend of big pharma in a round about way. YOU'RE NO FRIEND of the health community at large. Tha'ts also why the Govt Tools are becoming involved in the kombucha alcohol issue. A coors light beer is 4.3% alchol by volume a kombucha maybe .7% but usually under .5%. If they cared about alchol they would stop selling everclear, no? Really they want #1 tax revenue and #2 sick people. Kombucha CURES some Cancers!!!

Kevin, Im new to the raw foodist world, But I am very interested in apricot kernels. I have read that there are two types of kernels which are sweet and bitter(b-17) and that the bitter ones if consumed to much is toxic. do you know anything about the apricot seeds?
Hi, I've been raw for about a month now so Im still very new, I bought some flax seeds the other day and planned to eat them whole but I saw in the video that you spoke about grinding them......how to i grind them? Im a food processor? I've also seen small electric grinders at walmart but wasn't sure if those were best to grind coffee, and last....do I soak the seeds overnight before I grind them?
I drink one bottle of Kombucha every day. Since I started doing this about three weeks ago I have never felt better, lost a little bit of my belly, and never have acid indigestion anymore.
@jschrein Kombucha was invented by the Russians...the problem with your comment is that the Russian/Slavic people have been on earth for only 3,000 years....Russians are one of the youngest 'peoples' in the world...The Russians invented kombucha (called mushroom tea in Russia), in the 1800s...so it isn't as old as you say...
Just because you crave something does not mean it's bad for you.
Kombucha's alcohol content is, at the very most, equal to that of a ripe fruit - about 0.5%. As the yeasts consume the sugar, they produce alcohol, but the bacteria turn that alcohol into vinegar. So the alcohol content is always extremely minimal.
From what you've said in this video, it's obvious you're not qualified to say whether or not kombucha is good for you.
What's the difference between a craving and a healthy urge from your body to eat something good for you? If it's a craving, which you get from something that is weakening for your body, the more you eat, the more you want. Like with chocolate. If it's a healthy urge, then when you've eaten some, you don't want anymore.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
your a fag, u need to research BEFORE U FUCKING SAY FALSE THINGS!!! I now its good for u, and i am very healthy. U dont ruin ur health by drinking kombucha lol. It detoxifies u body and the Japanese had it for 3000 years now and spies stole some and it spread through out the world. DONT LISTEN TO HIM!!!!
On Kombucha... (disclaimer, I have kefir but not kombucha, never have)... O.K. you completely dodged the question and told her to avoid it because its tasty... Brewing yeasts and infectious yeasts are not usually the same, and candida overgrowth in the gut is rare. Also candida may not be the yeast used in brewing. Alcohol: The tiny amount in kombucha will be absorbed by your body quickly. Yeasts don't eat alcohol, they make it. Bacteria can help with vitamin production.
There is a big difference between store bought Kombucha & home-brewed you've done yourself. Commercial Kombucha tends to be stopped short, so it's still sugary & without that very light, nice alcoholization. So when it's "dry" I believe it's more salubrious (healthful)--DIY, or stop depending on sweetness for sales. I know the alcohol level must be kept right down to sell products openly, but can't commercial Kombucha be a little more dry & less sweet? gotta draw em in somehow, eh
Seems like a lot of people are writing this guy off just because he is slightly wary of the Kombucha hype. I worked in a store where we made it ourselves, and yes, homemade is the best way to go. Synergy was claiming that its tea cured some lady of breast cancer...I would definitely want to see the evidence on that one. On the other hand I like Kombucha a lot, people just shouldn't kid themselves and think it's the greatest thing ever. I've drunk it for months str8 every day and felt great.
I have a question for you - Do you just make this stuff up? Everything you just said about Kombucha is exactly contrary. After watching quite a few of your videos and I've concluded that you dont have a clue. I don't know if you are a proffessional or not but a lot of your videos are spreading bad information and you're making it harder for people looking for the truth. If you're watching this video please don't disregard Kombucha (or raw Cacao) because this quack says so. Please research more.
Agreed. This guy sited no evidence for anything he said. Everything was a guess. Also the distinction between infectious microorganisms and beneficial ones was blurred. basically he said if anything happens within a week of drinking kombucha it means kombucha is bad.
@TheCavemanRunneth Yeah man, your right. I''ve been drinking this for a year, and the benefits are positives! And I drink it every day! Since I started, I have lost 20 lbs... That's a good thing. So Kevin, you're probably a nice person, but you're not Classified as a supervisor in that area. Find some more info about the Kombucha, before you go spreading lies all around you!
He's not dissing kombucha altogether -- he's just pointing out a few rational concerns that come up for people who have a candida issue, and advocating moderation. When it comes to looking after the individual body's well-being, moderation and monitoring the body's response is important when using any product, regardless of how close it's sitting by the wheat grass juice.
who the shit is this guy? next month, i will have drunk KT for two years straight, everyday. digestion has never been better and my general quality of life is improved. KT is amazing for halting ANY yeast problems in your body. it has yeast in it, but most of that interaction was spent in making it. the bacterias are what you will benefit from largely. KT controls cravings too. you want junkfood less and it helps your body uptake all the nutrients out of your food. i no longer require caffeine.
I love Kevin Gianni's personality but what works for him doesn't work for me. Raw Cacao every day for two years has done a world of good, and kombucha tea (and Apple Cider Vinegar another bacterial product) give me more energy. I know what fake energy is because I was once a coffee/black tea addict. Natural Hygiene (Gianni sounds like them) works for some not all. Life is better with more added. I'm not putting aside KOMBUCHA or CACAO for anybody!!! ;-)
OK, after kicking bone cancers ass! I used kombucha to power to yet another level. One bottle Synergy per day was fantastic on a empty stomach followed by 16 onces of water, 15 min after the kombucha. I would urinate like a stallion, and fuck like race horse on steroids, plus I had fantastic staying power. I eat 80% raw, 99% vegan, 50% + organic. Lots of relaxation / exercise. two bottles per day too much certainly, unless fasting or at war on the battlefield. Peace
This guy gets paid to voice his uninformed views? Glad I saw this one first. Now I know better than to even bother listening to him, much less trust his advice.
To be honest, if you had to limit a drink that much it probably just isn't good for you. I think who produces it makes a big difference too. There are different Kombucha brands out there with Synergy being at the bottom of my list. But honestly if any drink affects you adversely I wouldn't drink it at all. Just my thoughts. I love Kombucha and drink it several times a week. I have never experienced adverse affects but that's me. Go by what your body tells you, it's always right.
Local brands are generally better in quality. I'd also check out some other brands that don't "need" to be flavored, and that taste great by themselves.
The mixture of sugar, tea, room temperature, and yeast/bacteria provides an ideal breeding ground for many micro-organisms (some pathogenic) and airborne fungi.
A co-worker took the stuff a couple of years ago and he had a very adverse effect. The guy was throwing up , peeing and crapping -all at the same time, at work!. Took 2 hours to get over it. He did not want us to call 911, so we kept a close eye on him till he recovered. Maybe he took too much or he is allergic to this tea.
Yes when I first tried Kombucha the texture came accorss as a pop or carbonated water. We breath in oxygen and out carbon dioxide. So, since Kombucha is fermented, Fermentation is the name of the process that the yeast uses to make carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is a is a deadly waste product of cellular metabolism. Drinking carbon dioxide robs your body of oxygen & increases level of CO2 in blood thus place heavy load on gaseous waste handling system -I'm not for liquid fermentation of any sort
kombucha is great. i drink it everyday. i fell excellent. if you make it right, you wont have any problems is totally safe. it has all the b vitamins, and friendly bacteria, not harmful. read before you talk about something you don't know about. kom has been drank for thousands of years. it has helped people around the globe with numerous diseases. long live kombucha!!!!
Thanks for the great info. I have had kombucha several times and yesterday for the first time I was "high" for a long time. Didn't feel good, plus I have a sinus infection, any help with that? I have stopped taking OTC remedies for sinus and colds and since I haven't been sick for over 2 yrs I am at a loss on how to alleviate the symptoms naturally.
I have had the high too after having kombucha, sprouts and wheat grass for the first time. It may be because of their detoxifying effect but it it only happened once for each.

When Kombucha tea is made correctly, all the sugars are fully converted into organic acids during fermentation, enabling Kombucha tea culture
to be is safely drunk by diabetics and Candida sufferers. Also the yeasts found in the Kombucha culture do not stimulate the Candida yeasts as
they are of a different type; Candida sufferers have therefore often found considerable relief in taking Kombucha.

Go by what your body tells you, it's always right.

what is wrong with "Synergy"? I drink it all the time.

Local brands are generally better in quality. I'd also check out some other brands that don't "need" to be flavored, and that taste great by themselves.

Dude, kombucha is ridiculously good for you. You're pulling the "three times a week" thing out of your ass.

EPIDEMIC !! It is the newest trend
