  • You'd be able to develop more reps at a quicker rate without all that momentum. not dissing you, just throwing you some solid advice. Just as pushups.

  • Wouldn't momentum make me go FASTER, not slower? At least if I understand physics right.

  • @Emevas Yes absolutely, but I was regarding to the speed of time in which you develop more maximum reps. On any exercise, if you pause on the eccentric part of the lift before the conecntric, it eliminates moment, causes the muscles to contract harder and recruit more. At first this could lead to less overall reps, but in regards to maximum reps vs time, this method you will increase the number at a faster rate. You know better than anyone on the MA board, quality>qauntity

  • The specific intent of this exercise is quantity though. I'm treating it as an RE movement, and going for as many dips as possible, with some minor sacrafices in form. I'm still getting full ROM and contraction per rep, I'm simply not pausing, which I can live with. As you saw, when I'm training the movement as a max effort or supplemental lift, I'll pause.

  • thats easy

now do it with one hand

  • Glad to see you're still sporting the Punisher shirts.

  • That's one of my favorite ones. Gift from my wife.

  • I'd probably screw up the counting somewhere along the line if I tried to do over 25.

  • youre hardcore, and thats why i love you
