007 Tributes: Thunderball

I can't remember anywhere on YouTube THREE comments in a row by one boor. BUT, I didn't comment on this video. I think w2dot has great skill...not just at getting us quickly to the best bits in the Bond saga, but also in his presentation style. I DON'T MEAN THOSE TITLES of his. He is a gifted film editor. His cuts give some scenes new energy The best Bond scenes are edited superbly. Amid the Bonds, the directors and writers, plus Barry, Broccoli and Binder...it's easy to overlook the editors.

I must finish this saga: "He's fast and he's cool and as a rule he looks for trouble, that's why the zero's double, Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang's no fool." (Shirley Bassey recorded this song with John Barry's orchestra. The lyrics came with the piano sheet music for "Thunderball". You can hear the melody in "Death of Fiona" on the soundtrack. It;s the dance number )which suddenly becomes ominous as the gun emerges that will send a bullet into Fiona's back. "Thunderball" is the better piece of music

I surely do not intend to be the final authority on this Bond vs. Largo dispute. However, I can say this with some conviction: Both Bond and Largo were to have a song about them in the film. Largo's was named for his Operation: THUNDERBALL (note the title, rising in those volcanic red bubbles is all in CAPS). For Largo, already less an eye and under severe #1 scrutiny, the fight does go on and on and on. Bond's number, "Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" had lyrics contrasting him to Largo.

I always thought the thunderball song was about Largo, but I've heard people say that it can also refer to Bond

I think its about Bond, but thats probably since I like Bond as a character better than Largo, (Most people probably do). But I'm not saying that Largo's bad, just that I like Bond better.
